Sony Confirms Men in Black 3 and Ghostbusters 3

During the Showest event in Las Vegas yesterday Sony's president of worldwide distribution, Rory Bruer confirmed that not only is Spider-Man 4 set for a 2011 release but also that Ghostbusters 3 and Men In Black 3 were in the works too.

We all know that Ghostbusters 3 was picking up speed and that a solid announcement from someone other than Harold Ramis or Dan Ackroyd was imminent but I don't think anyone knew that Men In Black 3 was even an idea waiting in the wings. Obviously people are hyped about Ghostbusters, it's a classic 80's movie that everyone loves and should do pretty well in the box office with its third outing, but if I remember rightly MIB 2 was pretty much a pile of crap... Why are they doing another movie? Probably because Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith are still major bankable assets to Hollywood and rake in the big bucks no matter what film project they're involved in. Don't get me wrong, I thought the first movie rocked, it's just the second one that failed for me personally for a number of reasons...

Good news for most movie fans I'm sure, and when more info is released you'll find it here.
