Stan Lee’s New Project = The Governator With Arnold Schwarzenegger!

The living legend - Stan Lee has a brand new future project which will team him up with yet another legend in the form of Arnold Schwarzenegger, creating a superhero known as “The Governator.”

Stan Lee is co-creating the line of graphic novels and the cartoon TV show component as well. The irreverant character will be half based on the real former California governor and half his larger than life persona in movies.

Stan Lee described his new character saying:

“The Governator is going to be a great superhero, but he’ll also be Arnold Schwarzenegger. We’re using all the personal elements of Arnold’s life. We’re using his wife [Maria Shriver]. We’re using his kids. We’re using the fact that he used to be governor. Only after he leaves the governor’s office, Arnold decides to become a crime fighter and builds a secret high-tech crime-fighting center under his house in Brentwood.”

The Governator will roll with Zeke Muckerberg, a 13-year-old cybersecurity expert. Together, they will battle the evil G.I.R.L.I.E. Men, which stands for Gangsters Imposters Racketeers Liars & Irredeemable Ex-cons.

Oh dear...

Cool Pics From The Web...

Yet more cool and strange pics from the web for your ongoing amusement!

First Promo Pic For Disny XD's Ultimate Spider-Man Cartoon...

Disney XD will be airing a new animated series in 2012 called Ultimate Spider-Man focusing on the "Ultimate" version of Spidey from the comics, and featuring the Sony Spider-Man films' J.K. Simmons reprising his role as J. Jonah Jameson!

I've watched pretty much every Spidey cartoon since the 70's version so I'll no doubt be watching this too if it airs over here in the UK!

X-Men First Class Has Michael Ironside And A Surprise Cameo...

Who doesn't love Michael Ironside in absolutely everything he's ever been in, good or bad, hands up?

You at the back, sit down or I'll whoop your arse...

Anyway, news just hit the web that Michael will have a role, albeit as small as a cameo, in the upcoming X-Men First Class movie (no doubt military in some way as that's pretty much all he ever plays) and then there's also news that there will be a surprise and fun cameo from someone which qualifies as a massive spoiler, which at this time could be just about anyone from the X-Men/ Marvel universe... But is no doubt Hugh Jackman as Wolverine (well, pre-'Wolverine' I should say).

I'll admit right now that I'm not that interested in this movie, which is strange because like my partner in crime "The Dark Knight" I'm an X-Men obsessive, but I think the cast, the characters and the time period in this movie have put me off to the point of pure apathy... Oh, that and the god-awful X-Men 3: Last Stand movie which soured my grapes something cronic!

New Promo Trailer For Falling Skies...

I've not really looked into the whole Falling Skies thing at all until watching the trailer below and I think I might have been missing out. It reminds me of The Walking Dead with aliens but even still Steven Spielberg has that magic Hollywood Midas touch so I can't see this going far wrong, plus the aliens look pretty kick-ass too!

MTV's Teen Wolf - First Full Trailer

Hmmmm... Should I feel guilty that I actually like the look of this, even though it seems to have absolutely nothing to do with the movies (OK so he's a teen werewolf that plays a sport, Lacross of all things) and could literally be Twilight on TV? Yes, maybe I should.

Either way here's the new trailer. Enjoy!

Doctor Who Season 6 Promo Trailer...

OH. HELL. YES...

Isn't it amazing how much we all love Doctor Who? It's become such a worldwide phenomenon that even when a minor trailer like the one below comes out everyone gets the old full-body goosebumps and squeal like a schoolgirl meeting Justin Bieber (OK, that might have been a bit over the top, but you get what I'm saying!).

The phrases at the beginning get me going - "He'll rise higher than ever before and then fall so much further" and River saying "This is the day he finds out who I am"...

So here it is folks, a season 6 trailer:

NBC's Wonder Woman TV Series - First On-set Shots With Updated Costume!

Below are the first on-set shots from the new Wonder Woman series starring Adrianne Palicki in the lead role. You'll no doubt notice that the blue boots have now changed to classic red, but you'll also notice that Adrianne is no Wonder Woman, well at least in my eyes having been brought up on the beautiful and curvaceous Lynda Carter, and I'm seriously wondering if this series will actually be any good at all... Look at her face when she's running! LOOK AT HER FACE!!!

We'll see.

Just for reference this is how I remember Wonder Woman on TV, and to be honest they shouldn't have messed with perfection... :P

First Minor Glimpse Of Caesar From Rise Of The Apes...

First we had the boring image of James Franco in a lab, now we have this incredibly minimalistic shot of Andy Serkis as Caesar, we'll his chimpy eyes anyway!

Here's the synopsis for the film which I only just read about this week:

Set in San Francisco, a young scientist desperately searches for a way to cure his ailing father’s Alzheimer’s. He begins immediate working by testing the cure on chimpanzees. When one of his test subjects, Caesar, begins to show rapid mental evolution, the scientist takes him home to save him from cruel lab owners. As Caesar’s intelligence grows, so do his ambitions for freedom and power.

TOMORROW: WHEN THE WAR BEGAN

I have no idea how I missed this, but I now have a new found respect for Australian film. At one point all we used to see was rubbish soap operas and period movies about our friends "down under", but now we have a truly awesome action flick.

Synopsis: Seven Australian teenage friends from a small town go on a camping trip to be with nature. During their trip, they see military aircraft fly overhead. What they didn't know was their country was being invaded by another country. Returning home, they discover that they are at war. With no training, they band together to fight the enemy.

Tomorrow: when the war began is based on a series of books by John Marsden and has been adapted into a movie. This movie was released last year in Australia, and was apparently their highest grossing movie in 2010. Yes, I'm sure that it was one of only a handful of movies released of the same genre, but It deserves praise for what It accomplishes with what I imagine was a relatively small budget compared to huge Hollywood movies.

Now there are a certain amount of people out there that have already commented that this is just a ripoff of the classic movie Red Dawn ( which is slated for a remake which should be hitting our cinema's soon ) but this movie stands on its own two feet as a great action movie. Whereas RED DAWN has loads of firefights and explosions, TWTWB builds the characters and setting a great deal more and gives you an almost instant liking for the characters and makes you care whether they actually live or die..........leading to one of the best final scenes of the movie ( watch it and you'll see!!)

This has a subtle blend of teenage humour, action, and even a little romance for the ladies....but in the end I was just left wanting more and more, and to see what the little band of warriors would do next. I'm just glad that this movie has hit the screens before the remake of RED DAWN otherwise it may have been overlooked as just another cash in on a big Hollywood movie.

DO NOT MISS OUT!!! This is hitting UK cinemas soon ( 8Th of APRIL ) and this is a surefire winner. And the sequel is already gearing up for shooting this year.....can't wait.

First Concept Art For Pixar's New Movie - "Brave"

Here is the first look at concept art for Pixar’s 13th feature-length film, Brave, which has arrived online courtesy of EW’s Inside Movies. The animated fairy tale will be Pixar’s first feature to star a female protagonist, and its first film to be co-directed by a woman.

A synopsis follows:

Brave is set in the mystical Scottish Highlands, where Merida is the princess of a kingdom ruled by King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). An unruly daughter and an accomplished archer, Merida one day defies a sacred custom of the land and inadvertently brings turmoil to the kingdom. In an attempt to set things right, Merida seeks out an eccentric old Wise Woman (Julie Walters) and is granted an ill-fated wish. Also figuring into Merida’s quest — and serving as comic relief — are the kingdom’s three lords: the enormous Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), the surly Lord Macintosh (Craig Ferguson), and the disagreeable Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane).

Brave is due in U.S. theaters June 22, 2012.

To me 'Brave' looks like a Scottish 'The Hobbit' with dashes of 'Legend and 'The Dark Crystal'... You can just imagine that vibrant mess of red hair on a Jim Henson puppet in a live-action movie!
