Filming Begins On Sanctuary Season 2

I'm in love with Amanda Tapping, plain and simple. Not only is she stunningly beautiful but she has serious intelligence, an awesome sense of humour and is one of the nicest T.V celebrities you could ever meet (believe me I know).

If you're a regular reader of this blog you'll know that I'm a Stargate SG-1 nut, which obviously starred Amanda for the entire ten seasons, but if you're not a huge follower of sci-fi T.V or Ms. Tapping herself you may not be aware of her most recent series "Sanctuary".

Sanctuary follows the adventures of Dr. Helen Magnus, an immortal and brilliant scientist who holds the secrets of a clandestine population: a group of strange and sometimes terrifying beings that hide among humans, some of which reside, by choice or otherwise, within her castle-like home The Sanctuary.

The first season of this CG/ green screen heavy series took a little while to get going and get the audience interested in the characters, but it found its footing in the last part of season 1 and became a firm favourite of mine each week.

Now the sci-fi wire website is reporting the following for season 2 (which I'm so pleased to hear is being made and they haven't cancelled... yet):

"The SCI FI Channel original series Sanctuary began production last week on its second season in Vancouver, Canada, the channel announced.

Slated to return this fall, the one-hour drama's 13-episode second season will include the addition of new cast member Agam Darshi (2012) as Kate Freelander.

Agam Darshi

Witty and sarcastic, with a gift for persuasion, Kate Freelander is a swindler, con artist and thief who finds herself in an uneasy alliance with Dr. Magnus (Amanda Tapping) after her business relationship with the Cabal goes sour.

Agam has appeared in such television programs as Supernatural, The Dead Zone, Stargate Atlantis and the Lifetime movie The Haunting on Sorority Row. Her feature-film credits include Final Destination 3, Snakes on a Plane and Roland Emmerich's upcoming apocalyptic thriller 2012".

There can never be enough Amanda Tapping, or even Emilie Ullerup for that matter, on our T.V's...Roll on season 2!

The stunningly gorgeous Amanda Tapping... droooooooool...

Amanda as she looks on Sanctuary as Dr. Helen Magnus. Still hot as a brunette!

Emilie Ullerup as Ashley Magnus (Helen's Buffy-like daughter)
