Brian Austin Green may well have lost his job on the Sarah Connor Chronicles fighting cyborgs but it looks like he's just landed himself a job on Smallville playing one! Yes Brian is slated to play the infamous Superman villian Metallo in at least the first two episodes of season 9 due to come out in America later this year.
The character of Metallo (aka John Corben) is a small time crook who, after a near fatal car crash, has his mind transferred to a cyborg body powered by a big chunk of Kryptonite, something that he often uses to take down Superman during fights.
It's good to see that the creators of Smallville are yet again calling upon the huge roster of Superman villains to fill our screens, but after the poorest attempt at portraying Doomsday last year went down the drain will these lesser bad guys really be any good? And who will be playing Zod when Smallville returns? That's the question we're all waiting for!
