Bloody-Disgusting.com reported that Ruairi Robinson has left the proposed live-action film adaptation of Akira that was being produced by Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way and Warner Brothers, and that the movie is "dead as a doornail." - This is a real shame as it could have been great....have always been a closet Manga fan and loved the original anime version(s). Fingers crossed someone will put it back on track.
The Russian news site RIA Novosti (via ComingSoon.net) quoted filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov as saying he's working on Wanted 2, the sequel to his 2008 summer hit, and that he's figured out a way to bring Angelina Jolie's character back, though she perished at the end of the first movie: "In July we will start preparation for the film. I think in the late autumn or winter shooting will be performed. The shooting will take place in America, India and Russia." - HOW!!! I hear you all cry, especially as she took a bullet to the head.....but hell, she is one hot mama and deserves as much screen time as she can get!!!
Production Weekly tweeted that MGM Studios' upcoming remake of Red Dawn has opened up its production office at Hollywood Production Center in Glendale, Calif. - Can't wait as I loved the original Swayze and Sheen movie from 1984. The communists were their looming threat, so what are they going to do with the remake?? I will wait with baited breath.
I've never been a massive GREEN LANTERN fan, but after seeing this i think I'm converted. If only this were a real movie and not a fan film.....Hell, I think Nathan FILLION would make a great Hal Jordan!

It appears that 2009 is offically YEAR OF THE ZOMBIE......on Xbox 360 anyway. We've had Resident evil 5, Left 4 Dead, and now Dead Rising 2.

Well it looks like the rumors are true, ITV have now confirmed that PRIMEVAL is no more. Three seasons and one hell of a cliff hanger and it's all over. (Noooooooo!) KW
Only 4 weeks ago there were discussions about a movie being made and now the series is s**t canned. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ITV!!!!!
Fingers crossed the movie may still happen, to wrap it all up and give it a decent ending. And lets hope that Hannah Sperritt gets a new gig, cause that's one hell of an backside to leave outta work...........I'm going to cry now!!!!!!
And with the current climate of cancelling genre shows, how long is it before the BBC follow suit, and we see the end of TORCHWOOD??
Just something to think about...........although maybe we should just stop people watching crap reality shows and maybe they'll bin them instead of the good shows.

I watched this show when it first aired on US TV, but lost touch with it and didn't really bother again. Don't get me wrong, it had violence, sex and generally decent story lines...it just didn't grab my attention. Anna PAQUINN stars in the show, who I think is a great actress.....although a little wooden in X-Men, but most of the stars of that series were...
