Karen Gillan Chosen As Dr. Who's New Companion
Matt Smith is the new Dr. Who and now his new companion has been chosen too.
Karen Gillan, a gorgeous young 5'11" redheaded Scot who previously played a Soothsayer in the Tennant episode 'The Fires of Pompeii', has snatched up the role and will be riding in the Tardis as soon as Smith takes over.
Rumours are circulating that Gillan won't be the only companion for the Dr though and auditions are currently being done to find a second, male, companion (much like Rose and Mickey).
Speaking of Rose and Micky yet another rumour online states that the Dr (Tennant) will see a couple of his former companions getting married before the end of his run, with Rose marrying her clone Dr in the alternate universe and Martha marrying Mickey (Noel Clarke), although these are still just rumours and are yet to be confirmed by anyone from the production.
I have to admit to loving Dr. Who and I can't wait for David's final few specials before Matt Smith jumps into the role...
