Paul WS Anderson To Direct Buck Rogers In 3-D?

It is being reported that Paul WS Anderson (AVP: Alien Vs Predator, Resident Evil) is set to direct a big-screen version of Buck Rogers which will be filmed in 3-D. Iron Man scribes Art Marcum and Matt Holloway will write the screenplay.

The character which first appeared back in the 1920's is probably most known for the 1980's television series which starred Gil Gerard & Erin Grey (ah Erin Grey...)

The rights to Buck Rogers are currently under the control of Paradox, who also is working on the new version of Conan The Barbarian. Paradox will finance the Buck Rogers development, and Anderson's longtime partner, Jeremy Bolt, is producing with Fredrik Malmberg, with Larry Abramson and George Furla.

Anderson is currently working on a new version of the classic "The Three Musketeers."

I loved the 80s Buck Rogers series growing up and I will definitely be in theatres to see this release when it comes to town.
