A trio of "Battlestar Galactica" stars have landed new shows, according to reports.
Katee Sackhoff, who played Starbuck on the Sci Fi series and who currently co-stars on "24," is set to play a detective in a new drama pilot for ABC. In the still-untitled series, her character will team with "a disgraced ex-cop to solve crimes and untangle the conspiracy that sent him underground," said the Hollywood Reporter, which added that Sackhoff "fielded multiple offers" before deciding on this one.
Though "24" producers wouldn't disclose details about her character's future on that show, her duties on the Fox drama aren't expected to conflict with her work on the new pilot.
Grace Park, "Battlestar's" beleaguered Boomer/Athena, has joined the cast of the new "Hawaii Five-O on CBS. She'll reportedly play Kono Kalakaulau, the niece of police squad member Chin Ho Kelly (played by "Lost's" Daniel Dae Kim).
In the shows pilot, Kono, a surfing champ and police academy cadet, is recruited by Alex O'Loughlin's ("Moonlight") Steve McGarrett character to join the elite unit of the Hawaii State Police.
Park previously had a co-starring role on the A&E drama "The Cleaner."
James Callis, former "Battlestar" baddie Gaius Baltar, will join ABC's "FlashForward" for several episodes near the end of the season.
"When I watched "Battlestar," every time he wasn't in a scene I couldn't wait for him to come back," "FlashForward" co-producer Jessika Borsiczky told Sci Fi Wire. "And I really wanted to have an opportunity to work with him."
Borsiczky wouldn't give details about Callis' character, except to say he'll be a key part of the show and that he's "a really exciting, unusual character."
"FlashForward," which has a months-long hiatus, returns to US channel ABC on March 18.
