I'm not usually someone who buys into DLC (downloadable content) for video games, but the new Lego Batman 2 DLC pack, which gives players the opportunity to play as 5 new heroes (Nightwing, Katana, Shazam, Zatanna & Damian Wayne) and 5 new villains (Bizzaro, Captain Cold, Black Adam, Black Manta & Gorilla Grodd), looks too good to overlook... I'n not sure if this content is available at the time of this post going up, I think it's tomorrow judging by their Facebook page, but XBL Marketplace and PSN should have it up soon and I'll be taking then plunge to be able to play even longer with my eldest daughter who loves this as much as I do!
Also, due today, is the biggest and most hotly anticipated update/DLC for my favourite game of all time - Left 4 Dead 2. We're talking about the X-box 360 version here as the PC has supposedly had this for quite some time!
There have been numerous new levels and content added over the past year through XBL, each one fantastic in their own right, but this latest update contains the brand new Coldstream levels plus all the Left 4 Dead 1 levels (Blood Harvest, Crash Course, Dead Air & Death Toll) and supposedly today is the day we finally get to download and play it all! Not only that but all the previous mutation levels are now playable al the time, including user created versions, so we get a whole butt-load of DLC in one big shot... The joy is incomprehensible...
UPDATE: Looks like Valve (the creators of L4D2) made a big boo boo and "forgot" to submit the DLC to Microsoft (or so I've heard) so unfortunately the content won't be available just yet. No word on the new release date, but it should hopefully be within a week...
