News was released last week that 3 famous and beloved video games were finally moving forward as Hollywood movies.
Hints had been made in the past but now all 3 have been greenlit or confirmed for imminent production, so now we have Assassin's Creed (being co-produced and starring Michael Fassbender in an unknown role, maybe Desmond, Altair or Ezio), Deus Ex (CBS Films have just optioned the rights this week), and God of War (which just had Pacific Rim and Saw writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan hired to re-write the script).
I'm a little flat with this news at the moment but when you consider just how epically excellent or terrible these adaptations could be (God of War being the most frightening to get wrong) you can't get overly excited until the first photos or trailers...
