Recently released, this movie poster has got Witchblade fanboys excited all over again. With an undisclosed model/ actress posing for this shot the question is who will play the part of Sara Pezzini, weilder of the supernatural, sentient artifact with immense destructive and protective powers.
Fans had a taste of live-action Witchblade fun with the 2001 series featuring Yancy Butler in the lead role. Unfortunately the series only lasted for 24 episodes (two series' of 12 eps each) and it was rumored that the series cancellation was unfortunately due to Butler's alchoholism. The 2004 Anime series went off at a bit of a tangent by using a Japanese character named Masane instead of Sara and again teased fans with only 24 episodes...
I'd love for this movie to be a big hit as I've only just started to read the Witchblade and Darkness graphic novels (and playing the X-box 360 Darkness game) and have to say they're pretty damn good. Let's see what happens...
