More Star Wars Goodies!

Jedi Master Nads has kindly e-mailed me to say that some cool new Star Wars related items have recently come up online that he'd like to mention.

First up are the awesome new wave of Disney/ Star Wars mash-ups in the form of 'Star Wars Disney Action Figures Series 3'. This new release of individually sold figures will be available from June 09 at Walt Disney World, Florida and Disneyland Resort, California and is set to include the following:
  • Mickey Mouse as Luke X-Wing Pilot. He comes packed with an accessory helmet and blaster.
  • Minnie Mouse as Slave Leia
  • Donald Duck as a Stormtrooper. He also comes packed with an accessory helmet and blaster.
  • Goofy as the mighty Chewbacca
  • Chip & Dale as Ewoks 2-pack. They are packaged as a set with a Stormtrooper helmet accessory (classic film reference model; not the Donald "beak" version)

These come individually packaged and will retail for $9.95.

Next up is the cool new video game 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Republic Heroes' which takes place between seasons 1 and 2 of the animated Clone Wars series and will feature a wide range of playable heroes, including Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto, and some of the Clone Trooper characters. You'll be able to play around with lots of force-enhanced powers and, best of all, work your way through the game cooperatively with a friend. It won't go on sale until September 15, but LucasArts has released this short video to wet our appetites. You can view the video via this LINK

The third Star Wars themed item is 'Star Wars: Invasion' a new comic series by Dark Horse Comics, written by Tom Taylor, with art by Colin Wilson, and colors by Wes Dzioba. The story begins shortly after the events in the New Jedi Order novel Vector Prime . . . You can read the first few preview pages at this LINK Jedi Master Nads is addicted to everything Star Wars related and I believe has probably read every graphic novel, comic and novel out there which features a Star Wars character! If he recommends it then I trust his judgement.

And last, but definitely not least, is the new Gentle Giant 'Oola bust'. It's pretty damn accurate, as is a lot of Gentle Giant stuff, and really brings Jabba's ill-fated, green-skinned, Twi-Lek dancing girl to life... Should I be worried that I find her fishnet covered funbags quite hot? Yep, definitely need help...
