Entertainment World Loses Another 3

The entertainment World lost 3 again this week with the passing of actress Natasha Richardson, actor Ron Silver and reality T.V superstar Jade Goody.

45 year old actress Natasha Richardson, wife of Taken star Liam Neeson, daughter of Vanessa Redgrave, sister of Joely Richardson and star of the Disney remake of The Parent Trap died this Wednesday after a traumatic injury to her brain. She was skiing with her two children on a beginner's ski slope in Canada when she fell. The actress was not wearing a helmet, nor was she required to according to instructors. Reports say there was no sign of external injuries and Richardson returned to her hotel room, talking and laughing. After an hour she complained of a headache, lost consciousness and was taken to Centre Hospitalier Laurentien, the hospital in Quebec next to the actresses ski resort. When her prognosis changed she was transferred to Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal. Husband Liam Neeson rushed off the set of a movie he was filming close by to be by his wife's side. She died soon after.

62 year old award-winning actor Ron Silver passed away peacefully in his sleep with his family early last Sunday morning from esophageal cancer. Silver was nominated for a Emmy for his work as a political advisor on the NBC hit show "West Wing" and some of his big screen credits include "Ali," "Reversal of Fortune," "Enemies: A Love Story," "Silkwood" and "Time Cop."

27 year old Jade Goody, the undeniable queen of reality T.V show Big Brother and mother of two boys, Bobby and Freddy, passed away this morning, Mother's Day of all days, at 3:55am after a valiant and highly publicised battle with Cancer. Having spent the last few months on the front of every paper and magazine and being on telly almost every day fighting the big C, Jade finally lost her battle.

I have to admit that although it's very sad that both Natasha and Ron have passed away, especially with Natasha dying from something that seemed so silly and insignificant at the time for her, the missus and I were actually hit pretty hard by Jade Goody's passing. I guess it's because she's younger than both of us, was a mother of two young kids and was so down to Earth and human it actually hit quite close to home and we both felt quite emotional when we heard she'd died early this morning. Obviously it was mother's day for the missus too and I think it played on her mind a lot while we were at lunch. I caught her watching Jade's wedding this evening that she'd recorded recently on Sky and she was in tears... I can say with no embarrassment that watching what little I did got to me badly too. Life is a precious thing and times like this remind you just how fragile it is and how you should treasure every moment.

R.I.P Natasha, Ron and Jade.
