DRAGONBALL Z RETURNS!!!!
OK I'm a massive fan of DragonBall and when I heard of a Dragonball movie being made I was quite excited until I watched it which was a right let done.
But now Funimation Entertainment have re done the epic journeys of Goku and the Z fighters and I'm happy to say they haven't changed a thing other than making it look 10 times better by using the latest digital technology, also Akira Toriyama the creator of Dragon ball and Funimation are working close together to tell the stories in more detail.
There are some new voice actors doing the voices of Gohan (Colleen Clinkenbeard), Bulma (
FUNimation Entertainment will begin releasing the series on DVD and

HEROES, PARADOX, SURVIVORS AND A LITTLE PRIMEVAL...WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK.
Well its official.........Heroes has been renewed...........shocked much?? Yeah, me too especially seen as the last season for the most part was utter shite!!!
PARADOX and SURVIVORS cancelled!!!!!!
I has read earlier in the week that the BBC has cancelled fledgling show PARADOX after only 1 season....not a massive surprise as it was a little lackluster.......................HOWEVER I have also just read that they have also just cancelled SURVIVORS!!!!!!!!!!! No 3rd season!!!!!! It was one of the best programs on the BBC and I loved it.........Have FOX suddenly taken over the BBC and started cancelling every genre show they have!!!!!
I was half expecting to read that TORCHWOOD had also bitten the dust, but John Barrowman gave an interview that announced that there is more TORCHWOOD heading our way.............AND NOT THE SHITE AMERICAN VERSION THAT FOX WERE BREWING UP, AND WHICH THEY HAVE BINNED BEFORE IT EVEN GOT MADE...........For once, GOOD CALL FOX!!!!! Check out the interview below.
John Barrowman was a guest on a BBC radio show this morning to promote his new DVD An Evening with John Barrowman. Jumping straight to the big news he said, "Most definitely, Torchwood will come back to the BBC."
He says that the whens and hows are still being talked about but they're looking at another 13 episode run, not 5 which is extra great news.
As for appearing with the new Doctor Who, John says it hasn't been discussed but followed with, "I'm prepared that it won't happen."
PRIMEVAL MOVING FORWARDIt's all change for dinosaur drama Primeval. When the sci-fi show returns early next year it will not only be broadcast across two channels (ITV and Watch), but will also welcome a brand new on-screen team.
Star Trek actor Alexander Siddig (who you may more recently recognise from 3D movie Clash of the Titans) joins the cast as charismatic scientist Philip Burton. He'll oversee the ARC department's investigations, under the government's instructions, after James Lester's (Ben Miller) abilities to run the operation are questioned.
Series regulars Hannah Spearritt, Andrew Lee-Potts and Ben Mansfield will also be back, joined by newcomers Ciaran McMenamin (Silent Witness) and Ruth Kearney (Shark City). It's yet to be confirmed whether Jason Flemyng or Laila Rouass' characters Danny and Sarah will also be returning, however. An ITV spokesperson today teased TV.com, saying: "Don't count either of them out yet... expect one or both of them to re-appear during the series." Flemyng is currently working on a host of new movies, while Rouass is to star in the new series of Spooks.
ITV suggests the show's upcoming seasons will continue to feature both romance and mystery. McMenamin's character, a zoologist called Matt, is said to be harbouring dark secrets; Kearney's character, a hard-working agent called Jess, has "an unrequited crush on Captain Becker (Ben Mansfield)". There will, no doubt, be some dinosaur chasing too.
Primeval's fourth season debuts on ITV1 early next year, and the fifth follows soon after on UKTV's pay channel Watch. The decision to air the show on two channels is part of a deal--between ITV, Watch, and producers Impossible Pictures--made to save the show after ITV budget cuts resulted in its initial cancellation.
Well, There's some good news and bad....more info when I get it.

SGU BASHING TROLLS.......MALLOZZI SAYS "STOP MAKING IDIOT COMMENTS"
Joseph MALLOZZI has officially stuck his fingers up to the SGU "trolls" out there (meaning all those A holes that just can't take it that SGU is NOT SG1 or Atlantis, and keep spouting shit about it!)
Apparently we have a lot of people that have nothing better to do that bitch and moan about SGU........IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, BUGGER OFF AND DON'T WATCH IT!!!
Other than the comparison to BSG (why is that so bad?!?) and stating the obvious differences between the SG franchise shows (again, something fresh and different never hurt anyone) the TROLLS are now on the war path about the writers "sexualising" the female cast members.
All I can say is ..........GET A F*CKING LIFE!!! IDIOTS. Every show on TV has hot women, walking around in skimpy clothes, sex scenes and sexual dialog............why is SGU being singled out?
Because of the TROLLS being total morons!!! Check out MALLOZZI'S reply.
STOP MAKING IDIOT COMMENTS. Note I didn't say idiotic comments because that would imply that the lion's share of the idiocy lies with the comment itself rather than the commentator. No, I mean: STOP MAKING IDIOT COMMENTS.
For example, say you have a problem with the James scene in Darkness in which she threatens Riley and Eli after they try spying on her with the kino. You can go ahead and make an argument for the scene being sexist (although I'd argue that there's a difference between the scene being sexist and the characters in the scene acting inappropriately, especially given that a clearly disappointed Young admonishes both men), but if, in the body of your comment or any subsequent comment, you refer to the James character as Lieutenant Rack or McBoobs, then you're a hypocrite who has successfully undermined their argument by demonstrating you can't be taken seriously. Also, you're an idiot.
Sadly, the negativity has also taken its toll on one-time regular Sherry, proud mother of actor Brian J. Smith, who, surprised and saddened by some of the hostility here, has elected to no longer read the blog. Also, after several months of connecting with fandom online, Brian is stepping away from his popular twitter account for much the same reason. Some of the very same fans who he was kind enough to open up a dialogue with in the run-up to the premiere started leaving him nasty comments as though he was responsible for the show's creative direction... [R]ealize – if it hasn't become apparent by now – that we love our cast and are very protective of them. Trust me when I say that there's no better way to guarantee a character's long and fruitful stay on a show than to insist we get rid of them.
I love SGU and hope it stays with us for a long time to come. And for all those TROLLS reading this.......here's Julia Benson in all her sexy glory!!!SGU is NOT SG-1 or Atlantis. It's a different show in terms of tone and characters. If you're expecting flawless people, square-jawed heroes, and stories that set up and deliver all the answers over the course of a forty-five minute episode, you WILL be disappointed. And DON'T expect that to change.
MALLOZZI is a legend!!!

NEW CAST MEMBER FOR WALKING DEAD TV SHOW
Now I have apparently seen at least 2 movies and shows that he's been in, but I can't place his face as to the character. Over the course of his long career, DeMunn has appeared in numerous films and TV series, including "Law & Order," "ER," "The Twilight Zone" and "The X-files." DeMunn has also previously collaborated with Darabont in "The Mist," "The Majestic," "The Green Mile" and "The Shawshank Redemption."
From looking at him I think we may have found Dale, as he does look pretty much like the character in the comic books....we'll see I guess.
That's 3 characters (possibly 4 if the Routh rumour is true) filled in.....plenty more to go...I'll keep you updated.

New Transformers Figures From The Crimson Blur...
I have came across some awesome new figures for the upcoming video game Transformers: War on Cybertron. These figures look awesome and will be great for all collectors out there, and of course the kids. No news whether these will grace the sunny shores of the UK but I'm sure they will find a way to your local retail shops.
Also news of new ranges from Hasbro from Transformers, These are:
* Power core
* Generations
* Human Alliance
* Deluxe - Hunt for the Decepticons
* Voyager - Hunt for the Decepticons
* Leader - Hunt for the Decepticons
I believe these are all to have new packaging, especially the Hunt for the Decepticons which will now be yellow packaging instead of red. again I do not know if or when these will hit the UK so watch this space.
New Iron Man 2 Interactive Trailer...
The trailer is the same as the last full one we posted up a while ago but as it progresses it pops little scenes into the top panel for you to click on afterwards and when you do you get a 3-D style bunch of new pictures and info on the characters, armour, Stark Expo and Monaco track etc.
It's a great addition to the marketing that's exploding around the new movie and although it's pretty tiny on my giant monitor and its high resolution I'm sure you'll love the interactivity and info contained within it if your native system makes it larger for you.
I've embedded the whole thing below so hopefully it works for you. Enjoy, and thanks to Adam for the heads up. ;)
Paper Man - Trailer (Ryan Reynolds As A Superhero!)
Paper Man is a coming-of-middle-age comedy that chronicles the unlikely friendship between a washed-up failed author (Jeff Daniels) and a Long Island teenager (Emma Stone) who teaches him a thing or two about growing up. Ryan Reynolds plays Daniels' imaginary friend Captain Excellent who helps/hinders this friendship.
So you wanted to see if Reynolds could play a superhero huh? (other than his crappy turn as Deadpool in the Wolverine movie). Here he's a tongue in cheek hero, and an imaginary one at that, but you do get to see him take off in the trailer so we have to be happy for the small things here before Green Lantern is released. The actor who could literally play any comic book hero is seen in this movie with a cape (and blonde hair!) and I'm sure it'll get viewers just for that fact... and Emma Stone...
Watch the trailer below and see what you think.
Awesome Geeky Motorcycle Helmets - Boba Fett And Iron Man!
The Boba Fett one is ultra cool of course but I don't think it can beat the shear incredible geek-chic of the Iron Man version. Those are some cool accessories right there!
All I need now is a motorbike!
Role Reversal As David Hasselhoff Voices GPS Systems!
The Hoff is now available from NavTones for $7 and can be downloaded for your Garmin and TomTom GPS systems... The wackiest part is that the package will include "Hoof-isms" like "We have lift Hoff". Cool, although I still think Homer Simpson would be my top choice!
Get in the car! ;P
Pixels Attack In Awesome Animated Short...
Words cannot describe how awesome this video is to me.
Watch it and see for yourself, 3-D pixelated 80's gaming characters seek world domination as created by Patrick Jean at One More Productions (from Paris).
Justin Bieber Causes Gears of War 3 News Leak...
A Gears of War 3 announcement showed up on Xbox Live last night, which is great news for a lot of Gears fans (including me!), only the game had not yet been announced by anyone. In fact, I don't recall any rumors of the game whatsoever, although it was inevitable given the popularity of the franchise. A screwup among Xbox Live division at Microsoft? No. You can thank US teen sensation Justin Bieber for the early reveal.
Turns out, Gears of War developer Cliff Bleszinski was to reveal his latest game the other night on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, but at the last minute was bumped to Monday to accommodate Justin Bieber's schedule. Apparently, no one changed the Xbox Live announcement, and it was posted last night without Bleszinski's Late Night announcement. Whoops!
Good news for me though so I'm chuffed. April 2011 is the release date!
Superman vs Zombies... Brandon Routh Cast In Walking Dead?
A couple of the main roles seem to have been cast and are set in stone but now news has been reported online that Brandon Routh (Superman Returns, Scott Pilgrim and Chuck) has snagged a part too.
Now I know my Walking Dead very well and I just can't for the life of me think of who Routh could be cast as. The main two white guys around Routh's age are gone and unless they're going to use some of that 'artistic interpretation' on the characters or the storyline I don't see his part in my head... Hmmmmmm...
Either way I'm hyped about this series and can't wait to see what they do to it, hopefully it won't be anything too bad as the comic deserves star treatment!
Percy Jackson Might Be Spidey?
A little while ago whilst Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief was out in theatres there was a rumour going around that the movie's star Logan Lerman may be the front runner for the role of none other than Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the new reboot movie...
However I held back on posting the news and low and behold the rumour was swiftly debunked and Logan was out of the running.
Now the rumour has resurfaced with an "insider" claiming that Logan is "almost 100% locked" for the role. I'm not sure how valid this rumour is once again but it's worth mentioning nonetheless.
Is he a good suitor for the role of Spidey? I can see it, but I'm not sure. We're looking at a much younger Spidey if he does indeed get the role, and I know that's the whole point of the reboot...
Toy Story 3 - New Clip. Meeting The New Toys.
Enjoy the new clip of our old friends meeting some new ones!
Ong Bak 3 - Trailer
Not sure what this film has to do with the original (and I can't remember seeing a second movie) but here's the synopsis in case you're confused:
The legend of Ong Bak 3 begins after Tien (Tony Jaa) has lost his fighting skills and his beloved step-father at the Garuda’s Wing cliff from the raid led by Jom Rachan. Tien is brought back to life with the help from Pim as well as Mhen and the Kana Khone villagers. Deep into the meditation taught by Phra Bua, Tien finally is able to achieve 'Nathayut.' His talents are put to the test again when his rivals including the Golden-Armored King’s Guard, the mysterious killers in black, and Bhuti Sangkha return for the final massive showdown." The film was also directed by Tony Jaa.
I'm still confused, but I hope you like the trailer nonetheless!
Danger Girl Comic Getting The Hollywood Treatment...
I read a hell of a lot of comics but I admit right now that I've never read Danger Girl, nor do I know a single thing about the character or the story. However news hit the net the other day that not only is Hollywood producer Adrian Askarieh trying to bring both Kane & Lynch and Hack/Slash to the big screen but now he's aiming to bring Danger Girl to the cinema-going masses too.
Danger Girl is an American comic book series created by J. Scott Campbell (awesome artist) and Andy Hartnell. The comic features a group of busty, scantily-clad secret agents led by their mentor, Deuce. The series is a spoof of James Bond-style spy/action stories, with the Danger Girls being a send-up of the Bond girls. Unlike the Bond girls, however, the Danger Girls (Abbey Chase, Sydney Savage, JC and Silicon Valerie) are the stars of the series and kick serious ass wherever they go.
Askarieh stated in a recent interview "We are just getting into it. Our collective hope is to have a big announcement in time for this year’s Comic Con International. As you know, these things always take a bit longer than one anticipates."
So be on the look out for more Danger Girl related news after July 2010 and lets hope that someone other than Megan Fox is tipped for the lead role of Abbey Chase!
Sex And The City 2 - First Official Trailer...
So if you're into Sex and the City enjoy!
The Other Guys - Teaser Trailer
And then I saw this trailer... OK so it hasn't really changed my views on the above, but it does look pretty funny. And I love that there are cameos from people like Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Watch the trailer and see what you think...
Disappointed By Clash Of The Titans? This May Be Why...
I did a review, said my piece on what I felt about it, and then the other day I came across information on Chud.com which explains in detail that the final version of the movie was in fact totally different from the original cut and the whole film could have turned out completely different, with alternate story lines, explanations for some of the head-scratching plot holes and reasons for the lack of story.
It's well worth reading the whole article HERE if you felt let down by the film. If you loved it on the other hand you won't need to!

KICK ASS HOTTIE
This girl is hot (She has that innocent look, kinda like Emma Stone, but you just know that there's a wild side to her too) and gives a great standout performance as the love interest in the movie.
DO NOT miss the fake tan scene in the movie.........it's awesome!!!!!!!!
Can't wait to see how she gets on in her next role...........hopefully it'll involve a bikini and some mud!!!

JERICHO....STILL LIFE IN THE OL' GIRL YET!?!!......WELL, MAYBE
I'm happy to see that there are still hundreds of fans out there that are expecting a movie version of JERICHO as much as I am. Apparently it's still in development and I have everything crossed in the hope that we get to see a modern American civil war. The below link to SCIFIOLOGY.COM says that the movie is on its way...but there have been rumours of that for the last 2 years.....but hey, if FIREFLY can do it then so can JERICHO.
http://scifiology.com/news/2009/12/16/jericho-the-movie-2010/
The only problem is the longer this drags its heels, the less chance of getting the original cast back.....but hell, miracles do happen.

BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM STATUE.
From within the walls of Arkham Asylum, The Joker orchestrates the most elaborate scheme of his career: create an unstoppable army of Bane-like creatures to take over Gotham City. Only Batman, using an amalgam of detective, combat and stealth skills, can end his arch-nemesis’ plans.
This very special Batman Black & White statue was developed using actual character designs from the best-selling game Batman: Arkham Asylum, current holder of the Guinness World Record for “Most Critically Acclaimed Superhero Game Ever,” and the winner of several industry game awards. This statue based on the video game design measures approximately 7.25” high x 6.25” wide x 4.75” deep, is painted in monochromatic tones, features a Bat-logo-shaped base and is packaged in a black and white box.
Limited Edition.
MEGAN FOX TRIES TO DO "SERIOUS" AND LOOKS HOT DOING SO!!!
This is very very funny.....but gives a serious message about budget cuts to their school system............I guess if the Americans stopped spending $250,000 per JDAM missile then they might be able to spend some on teachers!!!

Kick-Ass - Mini Movie Review... No Spoilers.
Last night I managed to go and see one of my most anticipated movies for 2010 with The Dark Knight... Kick-Ass was its name.
Now I'm going to make a confession here before the review that no one in the world knows about apart from me...
So I took steps to change myself and not only got a better haircut (spiked instead of parted) but started weight training too. I'd bought one of those concrete filled gold coloured York sets from Argos and built myself up to be one of the strongest kids in my year. I was already good at martial arts and was the fastest 100 metre runner (much to the annoyance of all the bullies and fit kids) and pretty damned good at every other sport, but I upped my hierarchy position from being chosen last by my peers in each PE class to being chosen first. It was a great turn of events and by the time I was 16 and left for college I had a bit more confidence in myself (plus I had two years of almost all girls in my college classes which was awesome!). Anyway, back to being 13...
For some reason I decided that as there were no "real" heroes in the world and my town was honestly overrun by grotty, drug-addled teens (it got voted the drug capital of Essex at one point, even though it was a pretty nice town!) I would make my own costume and roam the streets protecting the weak and the innocent... Yup that's right I did a 'Kick-Ass'... However the first time I stepped out one afternoon with my basic costume (black trainers, jogging bottoms and turtleneck), mask (an airplane sleeping mask with eye holes cut out) and weapons (a Batman logo wooden axe/hammer thingy I secretly made in Craft Design & Technology class and a spring loaded toy gun that fired little carboard planes which I adapted to fire rather sharp and nasty wooden barbecue skewers) I got as far at the park down the bottom of my street. I popped into a bush, costumed up and waited. Low and behold a fight started in the park within a short while and of course I was about to jump out and save the day when one of the boys saw me and shouted out "ha ha, look at that dick-head in the bushes"...
I ran home with my tail between my legs and the superhero kit stayed in my cupboard for the rest of its days. My dreams of being a real-life hero were destroyed by shear embarrassment.
True story, sad I know. I still have that Bat axe thing somewhere, I'll have to fish it out at some point!
Now on with the review of Kick-Ass!
I'm gonna do this quick as I've already bored you all half to death with my own stalled origin story above, but basically a teen name Dave Lizewski asks the question "why are there no superheroes in the world" and then decides to don a crappy outfit, call himself Kick-Ass and see what kind of a difference he can make. Unfortunately his first fight is disastrous and he's out for the count. When his second bout comes along months later he does a better job (albeit still pretty crappy) and a video of him doing his heroic deed goes up on Youtube and he becomes famous, emerging as the world's first true costumed hero (even if most take the p**s out of him for doing it).
What happens next is difficult to describe without giving too much away, sufficed to say Kick-Ass gets in over his head with certain bad guys and bosses whilst coming across a couple of other new heroes who deal efficient and gory death to any bad guy in their path.
The movie is a coming of age hero movie that shows that the world isn't as bright and fuzzy as it can seem in the comics. If you decide to take the path of a hero in a world where they only exist in fantasy you're going to get your ass kicked... or worse. There's more to it than that but you'll get the drift when you see it.
Truly though this film has humour, emotion, lots and lots of gory violence, excellent fighting scenes, and a fitting and blood pumping sound track. You really want Kick-Ass to succeed in everything he's doing on screen and a lot of that comes from Aaron Johnson who pulls off the almost useless Dave/ Kick-Ass really well. His supporting cast do a pretty damned good job too with the stand out performance going to young Chloe Moretz who pulls an excellent swear filled, limb-lopping performance out of the bag. I actually said to Dark Knight that the movie should have been called "Hit-Girl" instead of Kick-Ass as she seemed more dominant as a character throughout the film, with most fight scenes being owned by her and her alone. Kick-Ass kinda fell to the wayside. The funny thing for me was that the weakest performance by far was by Nicholas Cage who's turn at playing Big Daddy was more enjoyable when he didn't speak... When he did he was almost intelligible and boring as hell with only one laugh in the whole film. Why? I have no idea. I know he was trying to talk like Adam West from the old 60's Batman t.v. series when he was suited up (or I'm hoping that's what it was) but he just didn't gel with the film. It was a real shame too.
One thing to point out is that this is a true "based on" movie. The comic book source material is hardly noticeable through the massive artistic interpretation the writers and director Matthew Vaughn finished up with and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, especially near the end where a sequence made just for the movie felt out of place and a bit silly. There are certain scenes that are almost identical to the comics and then there are massively different scenes that have no connection to the original story at all, even though once again you can see what they were going for. This is not Watchmen, that's for sure. It's a movie audience that'll be watching this and they need certain plot points changed to accept what's going on and enjoy it, I understand that, but having read the trade paperback a week before seeing the movie I now realise that I probably should have done it the other way round as I might have enjoyed it just that little bit more.
Another thing to point out is that this isn't a movie for the faint hearted. It's a 15 certificate in the UK and DK and I really thought it would be cut to obtain that rating (considering what we'd seen on line and read in initial reviews). But it wasn't, by any means. Limbs are chopped off left right and centre, blood fills up the screen from every angle, brains are blown out by gunfire and wince-inducing moments of sickening gore pop up more than once throughout the films run time. I'm not saying this is a downside, it's not all the way through and I'm almost totally immune to this kind of stuff these days. It's totally in context to the original comic and the theme of the film. Swearing is also a fond stable mate of Kick-Ass and the first time Hit Girl appears on screen you may be a little shocked if you haven't seen the red band trailer. A middle aged couple sitting a few rows in front of us walked out after that scene and never returned so I can only presume it offended them, or they were in the wrong film...
"With no power comes no responsibility" is a great line in the film and sums the whole thing up quite well. Heroes in the real world can't actually win a fight with superpowers or awesome costumes and we just aren't ready for them either. They do what they must with what's given to them and sometimes that means kicking ass or killing your enemies. Kick-Ass gives a hugely entertaining couple of hours to its viewers and is so far my favourite movie of 2010. I seriously suggest you grab this in the cinema while you can and as long as you can open your mind to the (quite humorous) portrayal of morality with all the blood, guts and swearing involved you will love it. If not don't even try it. I came out of the cinema very happy, pumped up and excited to have witnessed it. More so that Clash of the Titans which I honestly thought I'd enjoy a lot more.
Is There An Avengers Easter Egg In The New Iron Man 2 Viral Video?
If you do know this (or look below) and you've watched the recent viral video for Iron Man 2 featuring Stark Industries subsidiary company 'Accutech' you may notice a certain similarity in their logo to the Avengers one.
Now you could of course say that it's pure coincidence, but knowing that there are a lot of hints and Easter eggs throughout the other Marvel films, and that they wouldn't make this similarity due to a simple mistake, I'm pretty sure it's a fan treat for us all to get excited about and start rumours.
See what you think.
More Characters To Return for Smallville Season 9 Finale?
News just hit the web that Cyborg, Hawkman and Star Girl have all been 100% confirmed by Michael Ausiello from Entertainment Weekly which means that were heading for a possible full Justice League/ Justice Society team-up episode, which of course would be awesome.
It's not far fetched to assume that we'll also hear that Aquaman, Impulse and maybe even Zatanna are coming back too (if the news that Black Canary and Cyborg are returning is anything to go by). Plus there's word on the web that we'll maybe see none other than Supergirl...
That's right at last years San Diego Comic Con it was confirmed that all the Justice League members plus Supergirl would be back in season 9 and although Laura Vandervoort hasn't been seen at all due to her ongoing job on 'V' it would be great to see her return for the last episode, which is what's being mentioned online.
I'm not sure if I posted it on here already but there's also supposed to be a major death in the finale which is rumoured to be either Tess or Chloe (although technically you could also include Zod). The way things are going with Chloe and Oliver it's sure to be her (no one can have a happy relationship in Smallville as you know). We'll have to wait and see what happens, but I'm kinda dreading my reaction to whoever kicks the bucket!
