Mickey And Kermit Mourning Jim Henson - Pic And Related Videos

I don't usually post up individual pics in a post but I came across this one today and it was actually quite an emotional one.

The legendary Jim Henson passed away 21 years ago this Monday just gone. The Summer 1990 issue of WD Eye — Walt Disney Imagineering’s employee magazine — contained the touching tribute by Disney artists Joe Lanzisero and Tim Kirk which can be seen below. Mickey comforting Kermit.

What I also found quite moving were the two videos below that were filmed at Jim Henson's funeral in 1990. One of Big Bird singing "It's not easy being green" (Kermit's song that Henson was famous for) which had to be more than a little difficult... A man dressed as a big yellow puppet singing at someone's funeral (I almost cried when he says "thank you Kermit" at the end and his voice wavers) and then a whole plethora of Muppet puppeteers who come on stage and one by one join in singing "One person"... I have tears in my eyes even typing this as it plays on Youtube in the background! ;(
