Nathan Fillion Lands Hal Jordan Job After All In Emerald Knights!

If you weren't aware pretty much the entire geek population of the planet came together a long while ago to try and secure Nathan Fillion (Buffy, Firefly, Serenity, Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog) as Hal Jordan in the upcoming DC/Warner Bros Green Lantern live action movie...

Unfortunately the role went to Ryan Reynolds (am I the only one that thinks he's very very wrong for this role?) but the fans prayers were partially answered recently when news hit that Fillion instead got the role of Hal's voice in the future straight to DVD animated movie Green Lantern: Emerald Knights which comes out in June 2011.

The animated movie also stars the voices of Henry Rollins, Roddy Piper, Wade Williams and Elizabeth Moss.

The new Green Lantern game 'Rise of the Manhunters' also had two images released last week and even though I'm looking forward to the game I still don't like Hal's new suit!!!

Here's what you can expect from the video game:

-Master the Ring: Wield the Green Lantern Power Ring to create a spectacular range of "hard-light" constructs including a gatling gun, giant fists, and much more, all of which can be linked together to form an endless number of combinations.

-Stand Together: Join forces with a friend to play as Hal Jordan or Sinestro to
battle the Manhunters, with the ability to drop in or out at will.

-Take Flight: Dodge, blast, and destroy legions of enemies as you soar across the universe in battles of intergalactic scope.
