James Corden To Return To Doctor Who?

James Corden is set to reprise his role as Craig Owens in the upcoming series of Doctor Who!

This is from blastr.com:

Last season's Doctor Who episode, "The Lodger," was one funny piece of sci-fi television. It was helped along by the sweet and sympathetic character of Craig Owens, played by James Corden—and if you liked him, too, you're gonna love the fact that the BBC has just confirmed that the character will be returning for series six.

This is what the BBC said in the official press release today:

The character of Craig Owens proved popular last year. James described him as 'an ordinary bloke' but part of the character's appeal was his quiet bravery and charm. He became firm friends with the Doctor and we're now looking forward to seeing that friendship renewed!
As you recall, Craig never got to step into the Doctor's famous time machine, and just last year actor James Corden (of Gavin and Stacey fame) had said, "There's been no talk of my return. I'd love another adventure—it would be great! I'm sort of disappointed I didn't get to go in the TARDIS. ..."

And into the TARDIS he may go if we can believe the BBC, which is teasing us about the possibility: "Who knows if he'll find his way into the Doctor's time machine this time around?"

As for which episode Corden will show up for, What's on TV claims that the actor will make his return as Craig Owens in the 12th episode of series six. The storyline is still being kept under wraps, with shooting expected to begin on location as early as next week.
