New Transformers: War For Cybertron Trailer Is Wicked Cool!

I think I got the biggest goose bumps from this fanboy geek-gasm trailer for the new Transformers: War For Cybertron video game that I've had in a long while. I actually got to the point where I found tears of joy running down my face... yes I am indeed that much of a geek!

If only this was an CGI animated movie and not a game, that would be even cooler!

Enjoy!

First Images Of The DC Animated Movie - The Spectre

If you didn't know the Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths Blu-ray/DVD will include another DC animated feature called The Spectre.

"The Spectre focuses on a detective story with an ethereal twist, featuring the otherworldly character originally introduced by DC Comics in 1940. The short is written by Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) and directed by Joaquim Dos Santos (G.I Joe: Resolute). The voice cast is led by Gary Cole (Entourage) as the title character and Alyssa Milano (Charmed) as Aimee Brenner.

The Spectre will be distributed February 23 by Warner Home Video as part of the Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths Blu-ray/DVD".

The first 3 images are below.

Not a Spectre fan but any DC animated movie is a hit with me, looking forward to it along with the new Justice League movie!

Wonder Woman In Smallville! Pic!

Ha ha, fooled you...

OK so it's actually Erica Durance's Lois Lane dressed in an outfit almost identical to the Amazon Princess' get up, even including the golden lasso on her hip. It's obviously an actual WW outfit but I have no idea what that's all about. I do know however that I now have to type the rest of this as fast as possible as the blood in the upper half of my body is heading south! Erica Durance dressed as Wonder Woman? Bliss...

Oh and just in case you're interested there are more images from the actual episode entitled "Warrior" which include Warrior Angel and the welcome return of the gorgeous Zatanna aka Serinda Swan. I thought I'd add a nice little extra pic of Serinda at the bottom for all her fans out there. If you weren't a fan before, you will be now!

Stuart Townsend Out Of Thor Movie...

According to The Associated Press, Irish actor Stuart Townsend has left the production of Kenneth Branagh's Thor, in which he had been cast in the role of Fandral, one of the Warriors Three, over "creative differences". He has already been replaced by virtual unknown Joshua Dallas, who recently appeared in the horror sequel The Descent: Part 2 and has a part in the George Lucas produced Red Tails.

The change in cast happened last week, just as the film was about to start shooting on Monday, and it's the second last minute replacement Townsend has faced, after being replaced by Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy in a similar situation.

All I can think of here is that Townsend is a bit of a diva and threw a few strops on set which led to him leaving the film. As these Marvel movies are making merry millions it's hard to see why he'd jump out of the production for any minor reasons, but hey, the guy managed to get in Charlize Theron's pants and stay there for a long time so he's not a total loss...

Spider-Man 4 No More...

A little late to the party with this info but if you hadn't heard the proposed 4th Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie has now been canned in favour of a reboot by Sony Pictures.

Not only will Sam Raimi no longer have anything to do with the new movie/ movies but Tobey Maguire and the rest of the original cast we've watched in the last 3 movies are out too.

Sony are going back to the drawing board with Spidey and will take the Iron-Man route of making everything more slick and believable than the Marvel movies that have come before it.

It's funny that only days ago John Malkovich stated on an Italian talk show that he'd been confirmed as the Vulture in the 4th outing and now the whole thing it out the window... My biggest disappointment isn't the loss of Tobey, Kirsten, John or any of those guys, but rather that we won't get to see the mighty Bruce Campbell finally rise to the occasion as a Spidey foe. I would have loved to have seen him as Mysterio if it had all gone forward, pie in the sky now of course.

The whole production had been facing setbacks and problems for months and although everyone was in denial about it all being shut down Sony finally hammered the final nail in the coffin giving this statement the other day:

“A decade ago we set out on this journey with Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire and together we made three Spider-Man films that set a new bar for the genre. When we began, no one ever imagined that we would make history at the box-office and now we have a rare opportunity to make history once again with this franchise. Peter Parker as an ordinary young adult grappling with extraordinary powers has always been the foundation that has made this character so timeless and compelling for generations of fans. We’re very excited about the creative possibilities that come from returning to Peter's roots and we look forward to working once again with Marvel Studios, Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin on this new beginning,” said Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment

.
“Working on the Spider-Man movies was the experience of a lifetime for me. While we were looking forward to doing a fourth one together, the studio and Marvel have a unique opportunity to take the franchise in a new direction, and I know they will do a terrific job,” said Sam Raimi.

“We have had a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration and friendship with Sam and Tobey and they have given us their best for the better part of the last decade. This is a bittersweet moment for us because while it is hard to imagine Spider-Man in anyone else’s hands, I know that this was a day that was inevitable,” said Matt Tolmach, president of Columbia Pictures, who has served as the studio’s chief production executive since the beginning of the franchise. “Now everything begins anew, and that’s got us all tremendously excited about what comes next. Under the continuing supervision of Avi and Laura, we have a clear vision for the future of Spider-Man and can’t wait to share this exciting new direction with audiences in 2012.”

"Spider-Man will always be an important franchise for Sony Pictures and a fresh start like this is a responsibility that we all take very seriously," said Michael Lynton, Chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures. "We have always believed that story comes first and story guides the direction of these films and as we move onto the next chapter, we will stay true to that principle and will do so with the highest respect for the source material and the fans and moviegoers who deserve nothing but the best when it comes to bringing these stories and characters to life on the big screen."

He-Man Art Show Rocks!

Numerous sites have been posting up the odd pic or two of the "Under the influence" He-Man art show which finally had its unveiling on the 8th of Jan and now that it's over I thought I'd give you the links to have a look at the amazing stuff that was on show there.

How cool is it that a whole art show/ gallery was dedicated to one of the 80's most iconic t.v. cartoon characters ever? I've always been a huge He-Man fan and one of only a handful of people that genuinely loved the Dolph Lundgren movie. Having seen some of the fantastic artwork done by the dozens of artists that contributed to the show I now love it all even more!

Take a look at the following links which show not only the event but all the cool artwork too.

The event and artwork on show HERE

THIS IS THE REASON TRANSFORMERS GAVE ME WOOD.

No, i do not fancy Optimus Prime. Nor do i fancy large metal robots (although ARCEE was pretty hot for a robot) I'm talking about Megan Fox as being the reason why I get a warm feeling in the nether regions when I watch transformers.

Here are some new shots of her in some very small underpants to highlight the reason why she is one of the hottest females on the planet.

Enjoy.....Dark Knight.

Lego Universe - New Game Trailer

This should probably be posted over at Geekgamer but I'm putting it here because that's where everyone visits!

I hadn't heard of this MMO PC Lego game until this evening but it seems it's been on the cards for over a year. The trailer's pretty cool and the imaginative potential is huge but I try to keep my online gaming exploits to the X-Box 360 so this won't be one I buy myself.

Enjoy the trailer!

Possibly The Weirdest Star Wars Themed Video Of All Time...

I'd just like to say three things here... "What. The. F**k".

I know the French can be a little "out there" sometimes but this is just uncalled for. A music/ dance performance by people dressed in C3-P0 and Darth Vader costumes which can officially be classed as the weirdest Star Wars themed video of all time, even outdoing the Holiday Special... barely!

Smallville - Dark Archer

Information leaked a while back that the DC character "Merlyn The Dark Archer" was heading for Smallville in an upcoming episode called "Disciple" in season 9.

Now Kryptonsite.com has managed to grab a pic of Green Arrow's old mentor, played by Steve Bacic, from the episode for all us Smallville fans to gawp at. Nothing much, but every little helps. See below.

Episode Synopsis:

NO LOVERS, NO ALLIES, NO DISCIPLES - INTRODUCING DC COMICS CHARACTER THE DARK ARCHER - Oliver’s (Justin Hartley) past comes back to haunt him in the form of The Dark Archer (guest star Steve Bacic), Oliver’s former teacher, who seeks revenge on his student by taking aim at Lois (Erica Durance) and Chloe (Allison Mack). Oliver faces down The Dark Archer after his former mentor kidnaps Mia AKA “Speedy” (guest star Elise Gatien) but is pushed to his limit and Clark (Tom Welling) races to stop him from making another deadly mistake.

Blake Lively Cast As Carol Ferris In Green Lantern

Yes it's true, the hottest legs in Hollywood just landed the role of Carol Ferris in the new Green Lantern movie.

I'd posted a little while back that 5 different actresses were vying for the part and now it's been confirmed that the Gossip Girl stunner will be joining Ryan Reynolds in Louisiana in March when filming begins.

Congrats Miss Lively!

Tucker And Dale Vs. Evil - Trailer

You can't help but like both Alan Tudyk (Firefly) and Tyler Labine (Reaper) and whilst I'm not a fan of either horror movies or horror-comedy movies "Tucker and Dale vs. Evil" looks like a really funny outing for the two of them.

As you'll see by the video below both Tucker and Dale are nice simple guys living a quiet life when a bunch of stupid, accident prone 20 somethings enter their woods and start dying accidentally in crazy funny ways, making it look like the two dudes are to blame. Strange concept but the trailer looks funny so I'll be checking this one out.

Legion - New Movie Clip - Angel Fight!

Could Legion be an awesome movie? Hell yeah. Could it be awful? Hell yeah. But either way it looks pretty kick-ass to me and reminds me somewhat of that 1995 Tales from the Crypt movie "Demon Knight".

This clip below shows a small part of a scene where Paul Bettany's Angel Michael is facing off with Kevin Durand's Angel Gabriel... Michael without wings and sporting a machine gun whilst Gabriel wields a cool looking mace and makes use of his indestructible wings whilst fighting!

Smallville: Absolute Justice - Promo Image

A new promo image has surfaced via CW for the upcoming Smallville t.v. movie "Absolute Justice". It's basic, a little cheesy looking and I'm not sure what's up with all the smoke but it's just another in a long line of images and vids released so far that have got Smallville fans all hyped up.

Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Lightning Thief - New Character Posters

Clash of the Titans may be the more kick-ass and effect laden Greek God movie of 2010 but Percy Jackson has the sequel ability to become the new Harry Potter with its young cast and mythological/ magic routes.

Before seeing the trailer for this movie I was totally uninterested, but once I watched it I was a changed man and now I'm honestly looking forward to it. My eldest daughter is Harry Potter crazy so hopefully it'll be OK for her to watch with me, I'm sure she'll love it!

Here are a few character posters below showing some of the main cast. They're not very well photo shopped (not that I could do better but Uma Thurman's Medusa head is a good example of how bad it is) and they should really show either the character name or actor in each to help the uninitiated out, but still they'll do for now!

People Doing Stupid Things And Hurting Themselves Vid...

In this Youtube vs. Blur (racing videogame) mashup you'll see numerous people and animals doing stupid things and some of them hurting themselves. It's like You've Been Framed on steroids and I always love this stuff.

I still laugh everytime I see the big kid at the end in the bungie ride. Although I'm not sure his relative "Janice", or whoever that is next to him, should be laughing so much as it really looks like he was about to fall out of those straps, or get cut in two by them!

Videos From The Web...

On my weekly travels around the worldwide web, specifically Redbalcony.com I found a bunch of videos I wanted to post here. Some are cool, some are weird, all are things I found worthy of posting for good reasons, which I've written underneath each one.

Enjoy!

I know this is totally crazy but I actually think this Chippettes version of Katy Perry's "Hot & Cold" is actually quite catchy. I'm sure the movie is awful (great for the kids) but I had to post it up anyway!

A really funny spoof from Collegehumor.com which is based on Batman Dark Knight's scenes where The Batman disappears when Gordon is talking to him. Made me smile!

I love martial arts, kung fu, and the things these crazy Shaolin Monks can do. Balancing on your index fingers? Crazy...

Although this video doesn't look real if it actually is this has got to be one of the luckiest train line inspectors, or humans for that matter, of all time.

Did you ever play 'slapsies' or 'conkers' when you were a kid in school? The game has grown up and now there's "Boob slapping". A perverts sport to be sure, but it obviously tickles some people out there! Crazy...

Why was the Taylor Swift Supergirl story rubbish? This could be one of the reasons... Her getting pranked by Ellen DeGeneres in a toilet shows how yellow she actually is! Not Kryptonian material you could say! Although thinking about it she probably though it was a psycho stalker or something. Every celeb has one these days!

My love of Muppets and Sesame Street is well documented on this blog so it's no surprise that when Big Bird appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live recently for Sesame Street's 40th anniversary I just had to post the vid. Gotta love Big Bird, and he's actually pretty funny too!

OK, so you can see the guys legs sticking out of this suit which kind of ruins its realism factor, but if my kids came across this animatronic dino which walks around the Los Angeles Museum of Natural History they'd most definitely crap their pants and pass out... or vice versa. Either way I'm surprised no kids are running and screaming in fear of this thing in this vid, I think it'd probably freak me out too!

Chris Brown is a renowned crap bag these days after beating on Rhianna and even some stores in the US have opted to not sell his records due to his bad public image, but the dude still kicked out tunes last year, one of which is above. So yeah it's a shameless cash-in on the Transformers movie hype, but I found the tune quite catchy nonetheless.

2009 had some pretty memorable moments and some of them were the weekend entrances of a certain lady named Cheryl Cole on ITV's X-Factor. I know that every time those doors opened and she appeared on stage I shouted "Holy S**t" to the t.v., much to my missus' disgust! Probably her best X-Factor moment by far was the night she sang live. Not only did she do quite well, considering she cannot sing at all (fact), but she looked utterly amazing and after the performance she stripped off the red part of her outfit to sit back down with the judges and then showed off her ample cleavage through a see through nylon top for the rest of the night! Classic. Enjoy the vid!

Lady Gaga... She's the Marmite of the music world, you either love her or you hate her, there's no middle ground. Her tunes are ultra catchy, her body is uber fit, but her face can be considered a downer and she wears the most ridiculous clothes ever seen. However back in 2005 long before she became Lady Gaga, Stefani Germanotta (her real name) appeared on MTV's prank show "Boiling Points". As you'll see she was actually very normal, and quite cute, with dark hair and a big bust... She's the third customer sitting down in the vid and the only one that fails the shows goal!

King Of Fighters Movie Trailer & Tekken Movie Photos...

I'm sure I knew about the video game adaptation movie "King of Fighters" before I came across this trailer, but for the life of me I can't remember. So not only are we getting a Tekken movie but King of Fighters too? Weren't the catastrophic failures of the Mortal Kombat and Streetfighter franchises enough? Now we have these?

I'll be watching them regardless as I'm an avid gamer so I'm being a little pessimistic and two-faced about them but I just know that I'll be giving up hours of my precious life where I could be doing something much more productive... Like playing the games instead!

Oh and if you're interested in seeing the Tekken movie photos you can find them all (and a load more info) HERE at Beyondhollywood.com.

Enjoy!

Lost - Final Season "Last Supper" Image And Catchup Trailer

Yes dear Lost fans, you'll only have to wait a month until the long awaited final season of Lost airs on t.v.

We've had promotional posters and cast images so far but now not only do we get a "Last Supper" pic from ABC (er Battlestar and a few other shows have done this to death already, but as it's Lost I'll let it slide this time) but we also get a 5 season recap video which is 8 minutes and 40 seconds long for all of you that want to have your ageing brains jump-started and remember just what the hell has happened before season 6. It's a pretty cool recap but the girls voice is a tiny bit freaky....

Enjoy!

How To Train Your Dragon - New Trailer

The kids and I are both really looking forward to Dreamworks' next animated feature "How to train your Dragon". It looks to be a pretty fun adventure/ buddy movie and the previous trailer's have definitely caught my eye so far.

Here's the newest trailer, not much different from the first one, but with a few bits added. Enjoy!

Star Wars Body Painting And More!

I'm sure everyone's seen the odd bit of body painting in their time, y'know the thing where hot chicks are usually covered from head to toe with what looks like a tight fitting bodysuit but actually turns out to be liquid latex or just paint...

Well last week I came across a rather talented guys work who bases most of his body painting on either characters from the Star Wars universe or Superheroes from Marvel and DC.

I originally found his work via Gizmodo.com HERE but you can view Mark Greenwalt's portfolio HERE. Beware that underneath the paint most of Mark's subjects are naked to one degree or another so this would be considered NSFW!

Space Battleship Yamato - Japanese Trailer

When I was a kid I lived in many places including Hong Kong. When we came to England when I was 5 years old I'd brought with me a huge amount of toys including almost every Star Wars figure and vehicle ever made (still have every single one) and a number of other toys including some Chinese and Japanese stuff like a poseable 12" Ultraman figure, a Captain Harlock bendy figure, a set of original Chinese Power Ranger figures and a red and blue, 9v, battery operated, electronic toy gun, in the shape of a flying battleship.

I grew up and discovered the names and origins of all these wacky characters and vehicles that weren't from western t.v. but I never managed to find out what that gun was based on...

Now I've come across a new trailer for a Japanese movie called "Space Battleship Yamato" and low and behold, there is the battleship my toy gun was based on!

I've also since found out that the anime series this movie was based on was pretty huge back in the day so I'm shocked I didn't find out about it sooner!

Enjoy the trailer if you're a fan!

Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths - New Images

One animated movie I can't wait for is Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths, the newest straight to DVD DC animated feature film.

Again it happens to be based on one of my favourite graphic novels/ comics and looks set to be a corker when it's finally released in Feb 2010.

Below are a number of recently released pics to whet your appetite, some I've posted before, some are brand new. Enjoy!

I LOVE IT WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER. A TEAM TRAILER NOW RELEASED!!!!

WOW. I LOVE THIS TRAILER.

For all of those (myself included) that had reservations about the new A TEAM movie when it was announced, fear not because the trailer looks great.

I feared that the remake might destroy the Saturday afternoon madness that the original A TEAM delighted millions with. I feared that I would never again get the same youthful glee watching BA, Face, Murdoch and Hannibal firing automatic weapons at bad guys, but somehow managing never to hit the board side of a barn (although the managed to happily shoot three feet in front of everything and spray dust everywhere - Even when there was no dust!!!!) I feared that I'd never see a jeep fly through the air (after being rammed with a makeshift tank built from an old truck, some corrugated iron, and a welding touch that just happened to be left laying around) without feeling dirty that my childhood memories had been cashed in for a little bit of profit.

I FEAR NO MORE. Yes the trailer looks like the average popcorn, explosion, gunfire type movie...but the cast are good, Jessica Biel looks hot in uniform, and quite frankly I go to the movies to see some explosions, gunfights and hot women.

Watch and prepare for JUNE cause it's gonna be time to call.....the A TEAM.

God I love it when a plan comes together.

KICK ASS NEW TRAILER - This so kicks ass!!!!

Why oh why did it take so long for this movie to get a release. I think, having seen the teaser and new trailer, that this movie really is going to KICK ASS.

You can almost smell the popcorn, cause I think 2010 is gonna be the year of the cinema.

THE WINCHESTERS ARE ALL GROWN UP

Sorry, ladies: Jared Padalecki, who plays Sam Winchester on The CW's Supernatural, is engaged to marry his former co-star Genevieve Cortese, who played the hot but very evil demon Ruby, E! Online reported;

Jensen Ackles, who plays Padalecki's onscreen older brother Dean Winchester, got engaged in fall 2009 to Danneel Harris.

Looks like the boys have done well for themselves. We'll see how their on screen alter-egos fare when they return to our screens 28th Jan 2010. When last we saw they failed to kill Lucifer, Ellen and Jo both perished (very under used characters who I personally loved!!), and apparently the colt isn't all powerful after all. What will the brothers do? Let's wait and see in Jan!!!!

And just cause I can, here are a few pics of the sexy Alona Tal....pray for some divine resurrection to bring this hottie back to Supernatural soon!!
