New Lego Game Updates

As I posted a little while back two of the new Lego games that will be coming out very soon are Lego Harry Potter: Years 1 - 4 and Lego Indiana Jones: The Adventure Continues.

I've just come across the new teaser trailer for the Harry Potter game and the box art for Indy, both below. It seems that with the latter game you'll have the original Indy game incorporated, albeit with new challenges, then you'll get the bonus Kingdom of the Crystal Skull levels too. Bit of a bummer for my daughter and I as we've already played and completed the first release already!

Although this isn't something we're interested in you'll also find that Lego Rock Band is the third release announced a while back and that trailer is also below. I'm sure that'll be big for all you wanna be rock stars out there who already play these types of music themed games but we've never indulged...

Another e-mail came in from Jedi Master Nads yesterday with a bunch of interesting stuff including his beloved Star Wars ;)

The Ladies of the ISO (Imperial Service Organisation)

Over at Starwars.com, as part of their week long tribute to the ladies who make Star Wars the phenomenon that it is, we have a piece on the ladies of the 'ISO' or Imperial Service Organisation who voluntarily support the charitable 501st Legion boys and even the real soldiers fighting overseas. You can read all about them and their contribution to the Lucas world HERE.

R2-D2 in Transformers II: Revenge Of The Fallen!

It would seem that there's an ongoing conspiracy between the special effects guru's from ILM making sci-fi films... The beloved Star Wars astromech droid 'R2-D2' seems to pop up in the background of all the new movies. In Star Trek he appeared as space debris after Nero's ship destroys the fleet and now he's appeared in Transformers II: Revenge of the Fallen as a piece of space junk in the desert! Check out a link to the VH1 'blink and you'll miss it' list HERE which gives you some more easter eggs and cameos that'll make you want to watch it all over again... as if you didn't want to already!

Twi-Lek Twins And Princess Artwork Prints

StarWarsShop.com has a new exclusive artwork print available for $49.99 which has been created by artist Craig Drake and depicts two Twi-Lek women, 'The Twins', in skimpy outfits. A simple and beautiful piece, you can find it HERE

In this new wave 2 we see Akuma, Chun-Li and Guile each featuring a massive 31 - 35 points of articulation for you to pose them any way you want. Michael Jackson And Farah Fawcett Both Died Today

Shocking news, Michael Jackson has reportedly died of a heart attack today at his LA home. CNN and numerous other news stations and websites are reporting that the King Of Pop was loaded into an ambulance just after 2pm, LA time, after paramedics were seen performing CPR on the singer.

50 year old Michael had supposedly been suffering from a rare genetic disease - Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, which affects just 1 in 5,000 Americans and is related to the lungs. Reports over the last month had also said that Michael had been battling skin cancer and this was the reason for his recent tour cancellation. It's difficult to know what the truth is and at this point it's even difficult to know whether he has actually passed away, but either way if it is true the pop world has lost one of the highest ranking members of its royalty and regardless of the bad rep he'd received over that last few years he was always, and still is, the King of Pop.

Today also saw the death of an angel, a 'Charlie's Angel', with the passing of Farah Fawcett from anal cancer.

Farah has been battling cancer for 3 years and was determined not to let it take her but unfortunately she lost her brave battle at the age of 62.

The Gruffalo To Be Turned Into An Animated Feature

If you're a parent, or even a children's book fan, you can't help but know the 'The Gruffalo' and its sequel 'The Gruffalo's Child'. Both are fun little stories and have some great artwork which made them a big hit with my two girls.

The first book is now being made into an animated feature to be screened this Christmas.

The film will be voiced by Robbie Coltrane as the Gruffalo, Helena Bonham Carter as the narrator, Rob Brydon as the snake, James Corden as the mouse, John Hurt as the owl and Tom Wilkinson as the fox.

The Gruffalo, which has become a modern classic, tells the magical story of a mouse who walks though the woods in search of a nut.

Encountering three predators who all wish to eat him - a fox, an owl and a snake - the plucky mouse has to use his wits to survive, creating an imaginary monster who turns out to be only too real.

The Gruffalo, Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's best-selling book, will be broadcast as a 30-minute show on BBC1.

Scheffler's artwork is being brought to life with a mixture of model and computer-generated animation.

Donaldson said: "I'm very excited by what I have seen of the animation, in particular by how faithful it is to the original story, while incorporating lots of imaginative touches to bring the deep dark wood alive."

The Gruffalo celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and more than four million copies of the book have been sold worldwide.

My kids will be ecstatic!

Meghan Markle Joins 'Fringe' For Season 2

Although there are a good few people out there that hate JJ Abrams' most recent sci-fi T.V. series 'Fringe', I for one am not one of them. I can't express how much I love Fringe. It's a programme that I couldn't wait to see each week when it was airing and I enjoyed every minute, right up until the last scene of the final episode of season 1.

Now news has hit the net that the hottie stakes are about to rise exponentially with the inclusion of 90210's brunette bombshell Meghan Markle. Having previously been on the US version of Deal or no Deal and most recently on the aforementioned 90210, Meghan has quite the male fan following and is set to replace Kirk Acevedo, whose FBI Agent Charlie Francis supposedly won't be back.

Can't wait for series 2 of this show!

Callum Blue Cast As 'ZOD' In Smallville Season 9

If you didn't know already, or haven't watched the final 60 seconds of series 8 of Smallville, Zod has returned...

British actor Callum Blue, known for previous roles in 'The Tudors', 'Secret Diary of a Call Girl' and the WB's 'Related', has been chosen to play the famous Superman villain which was nailed by actor Terence Stamp back in 1980, in Superman II.

Hopefully Blue can conjure up a better super-villain than last season's awful attempt at re-creating Doomsday, with the world's most annoying, most punchable actor Sam Witwer... Maybe it was just his character but if I could have reached through the T.V. into the Smallville world I would have laid the whining git out... and copped a grope of Chloe's butt of course...

Callum Blue is set for a recurring role in season 9 which worryingly means he'll probably be in the background, causing problems and building up his grand entrance someway into the season.

We'll have to wait and see!

The original General Zod with Non and Ursa. Love this film!!!

Stallone To Voice A Lion In Animated Movie "The Zookeeper"

After finishing The Expendables the 62 year old star will step into the role of a lion in the forthcoming animated movie "The Zookeeper".

Sly has signed up to voice the animal role alongside Adam Sandler, Cher, Judd Apatow and Jon Favreau.

The lead roles will be played by 'Seven Pounds' star Rosario Dawson and 'Hitch' funnyman Kevin James.

The film - which will be produced by Adam Sandler's company Happy Madison - will see a group of animals attempt to teach their zookeeper, played by Kevin, how to win his dream woman, Rosario.

Adam will voice the part of a monkey, Jon a bear, Judd an elephant and Cher a giraffe.

Frank Coraci - who is best known for his directorial work on Adam's comedic offerings 'The Wedding Singer' and 'Click' - is in charge of the screenplay by 'Norbit' writers Jay Scherick and David Ronn.

Filming is due to start in Boston in October is scheduled for release in October 2010.

New Star Wars Wii Accessories

Later this year manufacturer 'Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, Inc. (BDA)' will be releasing some Star Wars lightsaber and blaster accessories for the Wii controllers.

The Light-Up lightsabers are sculpted replicas of the famed weapons used by Anakin Skywalker and Jedi Master Yoda. Designed for use with the Wii Remote, an on/off switch allows players to control the light-up feature of the lightsaber. The Anakin lightsaber is illuminated with a blue glow, while Yoda's has a green glow. The Wii Remote fits safely in the lightsaber handle, which was designed for comfort, enabling players to battle at peak performance levels.

The Clone Trooper Blaster will create an authentic Star Wars experience while players battle through perilous missions. Created to accompany the The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes game being released in September, the blaster is designed for use with both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. When a player encounters an enemy, the blaster's dual-trigger action -- one on the barrel and one on the Nunchuk -- enables quick blasting! To further add to the experience, the Clone Trooper Blaster includes a bonus sheet of decals, allowing players to create an authentic, personalized look. Some of the stickers help players keep track of the number of battle droids they have defeated, while other battle damage stickers give the blaster a well-earned battered look.

Hello Wars...

Jedi Master Nads and I both have daughters, and I'm sure he'll agree with me when I say that Hello Kitty is a HUGE hit with them. We have numerous items of clothing, stationary, sweet containers and plushes in our house and as I grew up in Hong Kong and with a Japanese step dad I was introduced to this iconic kitty at an early age. The site Hellowars.com has some pretty cool Star Wars/ Hello Kitty crossovers where various characters have been 'Kittyfied'! You can but 3 x 3 inch vinyl stickers from the site and download buddy icons of your favourite characters too. Take a look HERE for more.

Doctors Unite!!! All Eleven Dr. Who's In One Episode?

Yes that's right you Gallifreyan lovers... All past eleven Dr. Who actors are to appear in a very special Children in need episode in November.

The 15 minute special will feature Doctors from the original William Hartnell to future Matt Smith using the magic of technology and old archive footage (seeing as the first three Doctors are unfortunately dead...). The script will see current Doctor David Tennant enlisting the help of his previous incarnations as he attempts to hunt down a piece of time travel apparatus.

A Doctor Who source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "This is a momentous episode for all Doctor Who fans. Never before have all the Doctors been in the same room, let alone in the same show.

"It's been a logistical nightmare getting all the actors together and available for shooting on the same days."

You really have to wonder just what this will be like, will they have Christopher Eccleston? Will they have Paul McGann? Or will they just use the old stock footage of them too? Regardless I'll want to see it... The more David Tennant Doctor we can get before he leaves, the better!

I'm a huuuuuge Doctor Who fan who grew up with the Sylvester McCoy incarnation and I've loved David Tennant's incredible run on the show. I'm still unsure about Matt Smith, but I'm holding my breath on that and hoping for T.V gold!

Yet another helping of Star Wars from Jedi Master Nads!

The Women Who Helped Make Star Wars

Over at Starwars.com they're having a week of celebration for the women that made Star Wars what it is today. Not just the actresses but also all the women behind the actual production. It's worth a look for those die hard fans who are not only interested in the profiles of each of these awesome ladies but also want a better idea of who played the hot Twi-Lek Jedi 'Aayla Secura' (I know that's what you really wanna see!). You can find the page HERE.

Star Wars Electronic Laser Battle Game - Seriously Retro!

The year I was born one of the first electronic games was released to feature the Death Star battle/ trench run from 'A New Hope'.

Made by Kenner, the original manufaturers of the figures and vehicles, the object of the game was for two players to act as X- wing pilots with the objective of being the first to make the run on the Death Star. The game featured lights and sound effects that were cutting edge technology in 1978 as the new era of electronic games was emerging in the toy industry.

A hugely collectible item if you ever find one! I know Jedi Master Nads is now looking for one!

Star Wars Clone Wars Web Comic

Yet another web comic for your viewing pleasure, this one focuses on the Clone Wars and some very familiar characters we've been seeing a lot lately. Very nice artwork drawn by different artists in each story and well worth a look when you have some free time. You can find it HERE

Star Wars Gangsta Rap!

As JMN put it in his e-mail to me "I thought YOU had too much time on your hands"! The guy who made this must have made it his labour of love. It's funny... in a very scary sort of way! Enjoy it!

Star Wars Female Worker Recruitment Posters

Artist Feng Zhu has some nice little faux recruitment posters over on the Star Wars Wikia. All are shown below with recruitment for numerous positions within the Empire! The Biker Scout and the Tie Fighter Pilot are my favourites! ;)

The Crimson Blur - Aliens In The Attic & Public Enemies

A Crimson Blur Post

Hi all,

The Crimson Blur here!

Last week I saw the best film of my life... a little film called Transformers II. As I was waiting in the cinema for the film to start I was watching a few trailers and one of them grabbed my attention called 'Aliens in the Attic'. Check the video below, you may or may not agree but this does look very funny and maybe very entertaining so check this film out in August.

I'm also looking forward to this new Johnny Depp movie called 'Public Enemies', Directed by Michael Mann. This film has a wicked cast and looks very, very actioned packed. I'm a big fan of gangster films and this one looks like it could be a massive hit. Check out this trailer and some posters below.

That's all from me for now, see you soon.

20,000 Visits On Kryptonianwarrior.blogspot.com!

Today is a little landmark occasion for me...

The counter hit 20,000 visitors earlier today, which is a pretty substantial number for 14 months of being active on my little old blog. I'm sure there's a lot of other blogs out there that do much better than this, but then none of them are mine and I feel quite proud! This week has been one of our busiest for visits with well over 900 visits in one week.

Thanks must be conveyed to the KW League members who contribute to the ongoing content found on here and to those regular visitors who keep up with our posts. Hopefully even though we only have 4 public followers (thank you all!) hopefully there are more of you out there that come here on a regular basis and enjoy what's found herein.

As you can see from the right hand side of this blog I've started a Twitter account recently, although I don't have the chance to add Tweets as much as I'd like, it serves more as an outlet for my personal life and day to day comments than actual blog-worthy content. Please add me as I currently feel a bit lonely!

Also you can now leave live comments on the chat box under the Twitter box. Anything you want to chat about either with me, the league members or even each other, can be added to this. I'd like a little feedback from visitors and this is a great tool. Comments directly under the posts are great but aren't the easiest to find.

And lastly, the invitation to join the KW League is still open to those of you that want to post content about the entertainment world. Reviews, comments and previews for anything to do with T.V, Movies, Gaming or Comics are welcome and there are still many places to fill. Even if you run your own blog and want to link to it via here, feel free to send me info via the e-mail address to the right (kryptonianwarrior@ymail.com) and I will post it.

If you have the opportunity to spread the word about Kryptonianwarrior.blogspot.com please do. I would love for it to grow beyond the point we're at now.

Bye for now!

M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender - Teaser Trailer

Not knowing a lot about The Last Airbender from the original cartoon series, I didn't have a huge amount of an interest in this movie... until I saw this teaser trailer.

It looks like Shyamalan has definitely upped the ante on this one and might just bring us an action extravaganza in 2010. His previous movies have all been very watchable but have also been very slow and methodical, building up the tension until the final scene where he delivers his twisty crescendo. In the last seconds of this teaser you can clearly tell this will be a big movie, but I'm hoping it's not another Dragonball: Evolution disaster!

Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland - New Pics

From the freaky and downright screwed up genius mind of Tim Burton come these new images from Alice in Wonderland. Scheduled for release in March 2010, this Disney digital 3-D enhanced film is actually a sequel of sorts to the original Disney animated movie from 1951.

"Alice, 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn't remember."

Alice features Mia Wasikowska in the title role alongside the following well known cast:

Johnny Depp ... The Mad Hatter

Anne Hathaway ... The White Queen

Michael Sheen ... The White Rabbit

Helena Bonham Carter ... The Red Queen

Alan Rickman ... The Caterpillar

Christopher Lee ... The Jabberwock

Stephen Fry ... The Cheshire Cat

Crispin Glover ... The Knave of Hearts

News From The Dark Knight...

A Dark Knight Post

MORE 30 DAYS OF NIGHT?

Looks like the 2007 surprise-hit horror movie '30 DAYS OF NIGHT' has managed to spawn a sequel...............although 'DARK DAYS' will be a straight to DVD sequel.

"OH NO"!, I hear you cry in horror, as most straight to DVD movies crash and burn because of a lack of funding and talent.

Only time will tell with this one, but Sam RAIMI is still involved as are the creators of the graphic novels (which are great by the way!!)

Fingers crossed Melissa George will be back, as she's stunning!!!!

Let's wait for the 2010 release.

*****************************

NATIONAL TREASURE 3!!!!

This was a bit of a sleeper hit when it first appeared in cinemas, and was a bit of an up-to-date INDIANA JONES........................but I really liked the original and the sequel.

Nicholas Cage was great, along with Diane Krueger........the only reservations I have is that they are WAY TOO AMERICAN!!!!

That aside, I'll wait for the 2010 release with relish and can't wait to see what page 47 of the BOOK OF SECRETS had on it!!!

And I've just read that DISNEY have just registered DOMAIN names for NATIONALTREASURE3DVD.COM and NATIONALTREASURE4DVD.COM........................2 more national treasure movies on the way??? HERE'S HOPING!!!!

*****************************

INDY 5?

INDY 5 on its way......DO WE REALLY CARE??!!??

I've just read that we have another INDIANA JONES movie on its way. Quite frankly i thought THE CRYSTAL SKULL was total BOL**CKS so don't think I'll bother. Thanks George for ruining my childhood memories!!!!!!!!!

*****************************

TRANSFORMERS 2

After seeing TRANSFORMERS 2 I just had to say how totally AWESOME IT WAS.......MEGAN FOX in low cut tops running in SLO-MO was stunning............and the Transformers looked good also.

My faith in sequels is restored..............and here's hoping for TRANSFORMERS 3 and more MEGAN FOX goodness!!!! MEGAN I LOVE YOU............MARRY ME!!!!!!!! : )
