Yes boys and girls, it's true... Arnie is returning to one of his most famous movie character roles - 'Conan The Barbarian', in a sequel to the original 1982 movie.
This Universal Pictures sequel called 'The Legend of Conan' will be a direct follow-on skipping anything seen in Conan the Destroyer and obviously having nothing to do with any other remake (like the terrible 2011 reboot).
Arnie is quoted as saying : “I always loved the Conan character and I'm honoured to be asked to step into the role once again. I can’t wait to work with Universal and the great team of Fredrik Malmberg and Chris Morgan to develop the next step of this truly epic story.”
I'm a huge Conan fan (primarily the original 1982 movie) and I truly believe no one will ever embody the character quite like Arnie did back in the day, so this is awesome news.
On another note this is the first movie image of Arnie in the new action film 'Ten'. The film follows an elite DEA task force that deals with the world’s deadliest drug cartels. Specializing in complex mobile operations, the team executes a tactical raid on a cartel safe house. What looks to be a typical raid turns out to be an elaborate theft operation, pre-planned by the DEA squad. After hiding millions in stolen cash, the team believes their secret is safe – until someone begins assassinating them one by one.
65 years old and still able to make a comeback into action movies... :)
