Whilst bored one day I started checking some streaming movie sights for a half decent movie to watch.....apparent from the massive amount of shite movies with a cast that reads like a Z list celeb convention, I came across this little gem.
STAKE LAND is an impressive little movie from 2010, clearly filmed on a low budget, with some little known actors that actually do a decent job of depicting a post apocalyptic world filled with vampires, fanatic religious groups, and survivors trying to stop themselves being lunch.
Here's the official synopsis:
Martin was a normal teenage boy before the country collapsed in an empty
pit of economic and political disaster. A vampire epidemic has swept
across what is left of the nation's abandoned towns and cities, and it's
up to Mister, a death dealing, rogue vampire hunter, to get Martin
safely north to Canada, the continent's New Eden.
The movie stars Connor Paolo, Nick Damici, Kelly McGillis ( yes, that one although she looks A LOT different from TOP GUN!!) and the super hot Danielle HARRIS.
I has horror, action, the super sexy Danielle Harris, and vampire air drops ( I won't spoil that bit as it's awesome when it happens. )
Catch this online at NETFLIX, ITUNES or other slightly non-legal streaming sights while you can.
