I came across these videos from Katsucon 2012 (held in Washington, USA,) recently and was absolutely blown away by the costumes. I, personally, am not a big fan of anime, so whilst I don't know the characters that most of these costumes are, the sheer artistry gone into them is utterly incredible. This is something I think the USA definitely beats us on, the sheer scale and detail of their costumes, as well as the volume of people who create and wear said costumes. Amazing, truly amazing and definitely worth a watch, even if you aren't an anime fan or con-goer.
