AMC's "The Walking Dead" television series, based on writer Robert Kirkman's Image Comics series, is a smash hit, but it's about to get a lot more social. AMC has partnered with developer Eyes Wide Games to develop "The Walking Dead Social Game" launching in April.
The game will allow players to enter the world of the show, meet their favorite characters and recruit their friends. With various missions involving killing and evading Walkers, the game is sure to please fans of the show and zombie games. Gamers are encouraged to "Like" the game's official facebook page to be among the first to play when it launches.
Fans will recall this is not the only "Walking Dead" video game in development. Telltale Games is also prepping their own "Walking Dead" video game which allows gamers to take control of Lee Everett, an original character created specifically for the game, as he navigates the world of the "Walking Dead." While the social game takes its cues from the AMC TV series, Telltale's video game ties into the comic book series.
