New Marvel Mighty Muggs On Their Way?

Over at theblotsays.blogspot.com The Blot seems to have found out that the Marvel Mighty Muggs line may well be continuing (even though we've heard nothing about them confirming doing so) during the San Diego Comic Con.

His various pictures show possible new releases of Magneto, Iceman, Juggernaut, Deadpool, War Machine and a new Wolverine (possibly first appearance Wolvie?). According to the display on show there at least another 3 waves coming out and I'm really happy to hear that!

I'm not so fussed about the Star Wars Mighty Muggs, especially now they're becoming Toys R Us exclusives, but the Marvel versions are my favourite line and I'll be chomping at the bit to get them into my ever growing collection. The only problem is that I think some will end up being Target or Toys R Us exclusives again and I won't be able to get them anywhere else other than e-bay!

You can see The Blot's images below or you can visit his page HERE

G.I. Joe - New Clip

I could have posted one of the action clips with Snake Eyes jumping cars during a car chase or Duke and Ripcord tearing up Paris in their accelerator suits but instead I opted for this random scene featuring some flirty banter between Scarlett and Ripcord instead.

Why? Rachel Nichols running on a treadmill wearing a tight fitting sports bra... Each to their own as they say...

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Ultimate Sith Edition Coming Soon

A new version of the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed video game will be heading our way soon and will be named the "Ultimate Sith Edition".

New content and levels have been added along with new characters to give any Star Wars geek a geekgasm of Death Star sized proportions.

Read the full run down of the game HERE on enewsi.com and watch the video below for a glimpse at some of the cool extras you could be seeing!

Futurama Will Indeed Return With New Voices... NOOOOOO!

HollywoodReporter.com has confirmed that the new 26 episode run of Futurama will indeed have a new voice cast as I posted the other day...

"We love the 'Futurama' voice performers and absolutely wanted to use them, but unfortunately, we could not meet their salary demands," the studio said in a statement Friday. "While replacing these talented actors will be difficult, the show must go on."

Can it really be? I'm gutted, truly gutted... Nuff said. ;(

Smallville Season 9 News From SDCC

Premiering on US T.V. on September the 25th season 9 of Smallville will have to step it up a notch to keep a lot of its fans happy. Including Mr. Superman obsessed... ME!

At the recent SDCC panel a few bits of information were released that may be interesting for all you avid viewers out there. Here they are in bullet points to keep it clean:

  • Clark WILL be donning a Superman costume this season. But not the red and blues. He was seen in a clip at SDCC wearing a black costume with a black/ silver 'S' symbol on his chest, no spandex but he does have a long coat that doubles as a cape. Supposedly he looks a bit like Neo from the Matrix but wears it extremely well. (Woo hoo!).
  • Batman is still not confirmed for season 9 although when the question was asked the panel sidestepped it rather than answering directly. Could we see Bruce Wayne finally next season? I don't think so, but wouldn't that be frickin cool at last?
  • Lois will have a bigger role in season 9 featuring in 18 episodes. Will the studio finally let Clark and Lois get it on? The answer seems to be yes as she's seen snogging Clark quite heavily, although this is "one reality" the show will be exploring. Plus she's seen fighting in the future after accidentally activating the Legion ring!
  • Lex Luthor is not dead... Obviously as he's in Superman's life later on as you know from his comic history. But it's doubtful Michael Rosenbaum will return to play him even if the character does indeed reappear. His bald visage appears very briefly on the SDCC panel screening...
  • Both Tom Welling and Alison Mack will be directing episodes next season.
  • Clark's inability to fly (one of the most annoying traits of Smallville's Clark Kent) will be addressed in the opening episode of the new season. He won't necessarily be flying but it will be "addressed" (God dammit!!!).
  • The writer's still have two season's worth of stories to tell but only season 9 is confirmed, so will they get to the ending they want or will we be left hanging with no conclusion by the end of season 9... (Please finish it, don't leave us on a cliffhanger!)
  • Metallo will definitely be in the first 2 episodes and looks pretty hard-arse. You’ll also be seeing the return of Toyman, Roullete and 2 new DC characters but they can’t say who until the casting has been announced.
  • Green Arrow will have a much bigger part in season 9. He'll hit rock bottom in the first episode and then the writer's have some back story eps planned to flesh out his character. Fans seem to love him! The writer's are also brainstorming for a sidekick for Ollie!
  • Jimmy Olsen will not be returning. That is to say that the dead one is dead and the real Jimmy from Superman history (and the last episode of season 8; his brother) will not be featured.
  • Callum Blue (the new Zod) was present at the panel and seems to fit the role well from what's been said. He keeps getting asked to say "Kneel before Zod" and it's good! He's seen fighting toe to toe with Tess Mercer in the screened footage. Zod is now "Major Zod" and not General as he's a younger version. He's brought troops with him so he's not alone when he arrives. Because there is some sort of time parallel issue here there is the distinct possibility of us actually getting to SEE Jor-El too, which may be confirmed by the second episode...
  • Chole is carrying a gun next season... Her relationship with Clark is strained at the beginning of the season. It gets off to a rocky start and she's still suffering from Jimmy's death as well as being on her own whilst the heroes are away fighting evil.
  • Geoff Johns, who wrote "Legion" for season 8, is writing another episode this season and said it will be "Justice Society of America."
  • Laura Vandervoort, aka Supergirl, will not be returning. (Well that's no surprise, but it's crap nonetheless!)
  • The entire panel sidestepped a question about a possible movie of Smallville but it's more than likely (as it's been for Stargate and Battlestar Galactica) that if there is no season 10 that there may well be a T.V. or DVD movie to finish the story arcs off or a cinematic release should the situation permit, although that's wild speculation of course!

There's not a lot given away there and it seems the panel really didn't want to answer any direct questions that culd potentially give any season 9 secrets away, but the single most exciting bit of news for me is that we might finally see Clark don a Superman suit. Albeit the black Kryptonian style one. One S on his chest is better than none!

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Might Be Marvel's Black Panther?

During an interview on the red carpet in San Diego this week British actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje told MTV that he's in "talks" with Marvel Studios for the lead part in their upcoming adaptation of the comic character Black Panther.

He stated "We're talking to Marvel about Black Panther… This is the first round, so hopefully they'll look at G.I. Joe and see the potential, but it's about time we have a black superhero."

You may recognise Adewale as the excellent Mr. Eko from Lost and most notably as Heavy Duty in the new G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra movie out in August. He's the latest in line for the role after actors Chiwetel Ejiofor and Djimon Hounsou were originally thought of for the part back in 2007 when Black Panther was first revealed as one of the new Marvel movies slated for production very soon.

Keving Feige from Marvel Studios had promised another confirmed Marvel Comics movie announcement on top of Thor, Captain America, and Avengers before the end of 2009 and we haven't had it yet so could Black Panther be the next one?

Only time will tell...

Motivators... Lots Of Them...

Whilst perusing the Internet I always seem to come upon these "Motivators" and "De-motivators" and they always make me smile. One such site that hosts a whole load is www.motifake.com and you can even create your own HERE

Below is a selection that I've either found recently or just had fun creating myself while I'm sitting here bored and dreading going back to work tomorrow. Enjoy!

DC Universe Action Figures: Wave 10

A Crimson Blur Post

Hi all,

I'm a big fan of the DC Universe action figure toy line and I'm gutted that UK will not see the likes of Wave 10 as I believe that they're now an exclusive wave for US giant Walmart. Check out the pictures of the figures shown at SDCC recently and see what we'll be missing HERE

News From The Dark Knight...

A Dark Knight Post

TORCHWOOD GREEN-LIT.....Maybe.........Sorta

According to the following link HERE the BBC have already given the go-ahead for another season of TORCHWOOD.

Now don't get me wrong, because I love this show, but I can't find any other announcements about the new season so this should possibly be taken with a pinch of salt at this point.

I'm sure the announcement will come soon, so fingers crossed.

More Eve MYLES please!!! I love her loads!!!!!

JESUS CHRIST..............Macgyver got fat!!!!!!!!!!!

Just watched the new trailer for SGU, and within the first 5 seconds you get to see the legend Richard Dean ANDERSON...........but boy has he got fat!!!!

I almost didn't recognise him, but I did read that he was going to pop up regularly throughout the series as he is the liaison for the SGU crew.

After watching the trailer I am even more convinced that this will rock!!! October is looking good.

Woo Hoo! SDCC 09 Mighty Muggs Are Mine!

By now you should know that I'm obsessed with collecting Hasbro's Mighty Muggs... Ever since I saw the first waves at last years Hasbro preview day I've been addicted to collecting the entire lot. Apart from about 3 Star Wars versions I'm still missing, I have every one from the Marvel, Indy, Transformers, G.I. Joe and Star Wars range (that's 83 so far), even the SDCC exclusives from last year (which I got myself as I was there).

This year however I'm not at SDCC (still bummed) and thought I'd have to duke it out with other e-bayers to get my hands on the two new exclusives, or not have them at all. But as luck would have it a guardian angel (my contact at Entertainment Earth) did the excellent thing of getting them for me and at some point in the not too distant future I should have both the retractable claws Wolverine and Metallic finish Optimus Prime in my collection. Unfortunately it looks like the US Toys R Us have taken the exclusive deal with Hasbro for the Star Wars Muggs so it'll be near impossible to continue the collection, but hey I'm running out of space to store them anyway!

"B" I love you and thank you for doing that for me, both you and geekgirldiva are awesome! ;)

G.I. Joe: Rise Of Cobra - First Reviews Are Positive!

I've not been the most positive person about this movie as there have been clips, images and information that have just made me cringe at how potentially corny this could be, but it seems that there's a bunch of American reviewers who have seen it already and are all relatively positive towards it... so now I'm more excited!

The 3 reviews I've read so far are linked up below. Hope it is as playful and fun as they say!

Bad Joke...

The missus just read out a joke from the men's mag Zoo which made us both laugh out loud even though it's not that funny!

What's green and smells of pork?

Kermit's fingers...

I can never look at the little green dude the same... Where's his right hand in this pic below and why does Miss Piggy look so happy? Now you know!

Ewwwwwwww... Sorry...

Amazon Princess's First Post - Cool Evian Ad

An Amazon Princess Post

Hello everyone and thank you to Kryptonian Warrior for his kind introduction. The leader of this little league has been bugging me for ages to post (mainly because he has the hots for anyone who wears their underwear on the outside of their clothes!) and I have finally conceded after spending a week at Center Parcs watching the Justice league Unlimited cartoon in the evenings. I've decided that we can't leave the blogging to the men, after all Wonder Woman can kick ass just as well as superman!

On my return from Center Parcs (more on that later) I settled down with a nice cup of coffee and my
favourite magazines that had been waiting on my doormat for my return. I'm sure Kryptonian Warrior will agree that I'm pretty useless when it comes to computers (more from laziness than incompetence) however when I spotted that Heatworld.com had a clip of Daniel Radcliff on it, I jumped onto the PC immediately. Being a huge Harry Potter fan and fresh from the new film (more on that later too) I was eager to see what the cheeky chappy was up to.

However, unable to find said clip, I began to browse and came
across this rather cute ad from Evian. In the quest for eternal youth I might just start drinking, see if you agree. :)

Introducing New Members To The Kryptonianwarrior.blogspot.com League!

As the founder of Kryptonianwarrior.blogspot.com and the leader of its version of the Justice League, it is my honour to introduce two brand new members to our blogging team.

First of all we have AMAZON PRINCESS who will taking the role of Wonder Woman.

Amazon Princess is a T.V. and movie fan who loves programmes such as Friends, Sex and the City, Desperate Housewives, Heroes and Stargate SG-1. For movies, like any girl her age, she loves Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Pretty Woman and Bridget Jones but also loves movies like Jumping Jack Flash, The Goonies, the Back to the Future trilogy, Mannequin, Big, The Money Pit, Overboard, the Jurassic Park trilogy, National Treasure 1 & 2 etc etc.

She keeps up with all the celebrity gossip via her girlie magazines and is obsessed with Harry Potter, having read all the novels and watched all the movies (numerous times!). She plays on her Nintendo DS on a regular basis with games such as Tetris, Zelda and Brain Academy being top of her list.

She'll be posting infrequently on here about some of the above and more, but at least we have our first female member!!!

Our second new member is THE MICRO MARVEL who will be taking the role of The Atom.

Micro Marvel is a very special new member who suits his new League name very well. He will also be posting infrequently about things like movies, T.V., comics, video games and many other things. He's literally a fan of everything but It'll be a while before his first post. He wanted to make himself known at the same time as Amazon Princess. His posts will end up being purely video based once he sorts himself out and I think you might find him quite entertaining!

For now I'd like to say thanks to our new members for joining and look forward to receiving your posts which I will add as soon as I can.

Now all I have to do is convince Jedi Master Nads to convert to a Justice League character (Hawkman dammit!) and get us an Aquaman and Martian Manhunter and we'll be set!

Busted Up Pokemon...

The Emerald Knight sent me a link to a gallery by Jublin.com on flickr which hilariously depicts Pokemon in various states of damage and recuperation after their battles. They're extremely fun little pics and are reminiscent of the old Ren and Stimpy art style, especially Pikachu and Bulbasaur pictured below.

Head over to HERE to see the full set on flickr or HERE
for Jublin.com where you can see the original page with links on the left to other artwork like his Mario Family Portraits.
