Superman/Batman Movie Confirmed For 2015! Flash & Justice League For 2016 & 2017?

One of the most epic bits of news released at San Diego Comic Con this week is that 'Man of Steel' director Zack Snyder confirmed a 2015 Batman/Superman crossover movie... During the announcement Harry Lennix (General Swanwick) read the immortal words from Frank Miller's famous graphic novel/comic - The Dark Knight Returns:

"I want you to remember, Clark…in all the years to come…in your most private moments…I want you to remember…my hand…at your throat…I want…you to remember…the one man who beat you."

Warner Bros. issued a press release shortly after the panel which came with the following facts and remarks about the film, which will unite Bob Kane and Bill Finger’s Batman with Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster’s Superman for the very first time on screen.

The film’s story will be crafted by Snyder and Man of Steel screenwriter David S. Goyer, who will also write the screenplay for the as yet untitled film.

Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas will serve as Executive Producers.

DC Entertainment President Diane Nelson: “Superman and Batman together on the big screen is a dream come true for DC fans everywhere. All of us at DC Entertainment could not be more excited for Zack’s continuing vision for the DC Universe.”

Man of Steel and Dark Knight trilogy producer Emma Thomas: “Whilst our ‘Dark Knight’ trilogy is complete, we have every confidence that Zack’s fresh interpretation will take the character in a new and exciting direction. His vision for Superman opened the door to a whole new universe and we can’t wait to see what Zack does with these characters.”

Snyder also noted that despite the line reading, the film will not be adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns.

On top of this news it was also rumoured from an inside source at DC that The Flash is set for release in 2016 and The Justice League will be 2017. There's been no word on the expected and much talked about Wonder Woman movie, but even if she doesn't get her own movie first. she's got to be in the JL movie in some way or form!
