UK Title To Avengers Movie Changed To "Avengers Assemble"! - New Poster

It would seem that an 11th hour alteration to the UK title of "The Avengers" has just been announced whereby we now get "Avengers Assemble" instead...

The change is supposedly to prevent UK audiences confusing the film with either the 1960s TV series of the same name or its less-than-stellar 1998 film adaptation.

Weird but true. And here's the brand new UK poster to prove it.

Avengers Assemble!!!

Here's a brand-spanking new poster for Marvel's upcoming Avengers movie, my most anticipated movie of the year so far... :D

Star Wars Kinect Video Game Demo - Video

Jedi third-person lightsaber battles, Pod racing, Rancor-controlled property destruction, Oola/Slave Leia dance routines... Star Wars Kinect has them all.

Enjoy!

John Carter - Extended "White Ape Battle" Scene - Video

OK, so we may have seen our fair share of scenes like this one in movies like Gladiator and Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, among many other "arena" battles in the movie world, but this is John Carter... And this looks wicked-cool. I'm loving the look of this film and I'm loving John's Mars-induced superpowers too.

Rock on Mr. Carter... Rock on.

Jimmy Kimmel Live's "Movie: The Movie" Trailer - Video

During the special Oscar Edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live! in the US, host Jimmy Kimmel unveiled the trailer for the greatest film ever made that will, sadly, never actually get made. So as you can guess: not an actual trailer for an actual proposed movie...

Starring a hell of a lot of famous faces that'll make you smile all the way through!

Superman Vs. The Elite - New Pics

London Super Comic Con 2012

So, I, the Amazon Princess, attended London Super Comic Con this Saturday. I won't bore you with details of who was there stall-wise but I will tell you three things:

1. I had the pleasure of meeting the outstandingly talented and endlessly polite and lovely, Brian Bolland (artist for the incredibly iconic The Killing Joke, amongst an enormous multitude of others.)

2. To see (although unfortunately not meet) the actual Stan Lee in the flesh was quite incredible. To see his lovely little smiley face, his magnificent moustache and feel his general aura of awesome was just amazing. <3

3. I took my camera to capture some wonderful costumers/cosplayers and here I've collected some for you! Enjoy <3 !

Spandy Andy

Okay, this guy is awesome. Beyond awesome. He must have some serious balls to pull this off! (I'm talking about the dancing in public, not the spandex :P !)

Skyrim Intervention

As an avid Skyrimmer (oo-er), I found this pretty hilarious! Even if you haven't played it yet, but are interested in it or in gaming in general, this is definitely worth a watch! :D

Zelda: The Lost Oracle Trailer

This is an absolutely phenomenal fan animation for Zelda: The Lost Oracle. Unfortunately, this isn't a planned game, its purely fabricated and animated by the very impressive Joel Furtado, with sound by Cam Wiest. (But you wish it was real too, right!?)
I think this is a truly beautiful bit of animation, check out his site at http://www.joelfurtado.com/ for more utterly excellent work!

Wrath Of The Titans - New Images & Synopsis

A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus – the demigod son of Zeus – is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity’s lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld. Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus’ godly son, Ares, switch loyalties and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans’ strength grows stronger as Zeus’ remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth. Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda, Poseidon’s demigod son, Argenor, and fallen god Hephaestus, Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind.

The Greatest Dancing Dog Ever? - Video

A dog dancing the Merengue may well sound like a bad auditionee for a show like Britain's Got Talent, but you seroiously ain't seen nothing 'til you've seen this pooch strut their stuff.

I swear this is one of the greatest things you'll watch this month if you haven't already seen it before along with the other 11 million + people around the globe!

Enjoy!

Borderlands 2 - New Videogame Trailer

Having completed the first Borderlands game with my good buddy The Dark Knight I'm more than a little happy that a sequel is almost upon us.

There were a few issues with the original game, not least of all the co-op balancing problems where the player with the lowest experience points was getting instantly killed whenever the pair encountered a foe, but it was a great game. Something which the recent RAGE release copied down to a T... Not a bad thing, just an observation.

Borderlands 2 looks to be more of the same but on a bigger and more epic scale, with better player characters, better bad guys and much better weapons. Seriously can't wait for this and I'm sure my other gaming buddy who we like to call "Watchtower" will be champing at the bit for this to enter our gargantuan 8 hour co-op split-screen gaming sessions! :)

Pixar's "Brave" - New Trailer

Technically this is actually a scene rather than a trailer... Enjoy it nonetheless!

Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In "Brave," a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts.

Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Wise Woman (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it's too late.

Directed by Mark Andrews ("The Incredibles," "Ratatouille," "John Carter") and Brenda Chapman ("The Lion King," "Prince of Egypt"), and produced by Katherine Sarafian ("Lifted," "The Incredibles"), "Brave" is a grand adventure full of heart, memorable characters and the signature Pixar humour enjoyed by audiences of all ages. The film takes aim at theatres on June 21, 2012, and will be presented in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theatres.

The Clone Wars - The Return Of Darth Maul...

Arguably one of the best characters in the whole of the Star Wars prequel trilogy movies, visually if nothing else, it was a huge shame that Darth Maul ended up getting killed before his time...

Like Boba Fett however Darth Maul is making an almost inconceivable return to the Star Wars universe (having already been revived in the comics) on The Clone Wars animated TV show.

From UGO.com:

According to USA Today, General Grievous is invading Darth Maul's home planet, Dathomir, and Maul's brother, Savage Opress, is determined to find his missing sibling. During this madness, Count Dooku is attempting to kill his former ally, Asajj Ventress, and the Nightsisters.

Star Wars fans will recognize Maul's voice almost immediately. Sam Witwer, the voice actor for Starkiller in The Force Unleashed games, is taking the role of Maul and putting a whole lot of passion into it.

Fans skeptical over Maul returning should have faith in Clone Wars director Dave Filoni. He says bringing the famous Dathomirian Zabrak wasn't something they took lightly. "To go through all the trouble and believability to bring this character back, it would be a shame if it was once again a short-lived thing. A lot of effort went into the resurrection of Darth Maul, and I'm going to make it worthwhile for the fans, that's for sure."

Darth Maul has returned a few times in the comic books, and just like in some of those instances, the warrior is now sporting mechanical legs. Will he finally get revenge on Obi-Wan Kenobi? To find out, be sure to tune into Cartoon Network at 8pm EST every Friday.

Fan-Made & Editor Made Trailers For John Carter...

These two trailers popped up on line recently for the upcoming sci-fi extravaganza that is "John Carter"...

The reason I'm posting them up is that the fan-made version actually ended up getting more of a positive reaction than the official one released by Disney and has clocked up over 100,000 views with every comment being ultimately positive. The second trailer is technically the editor's sizzle reel with a few more unseen shots etc.

Either way I'm loving the look of this and I get goosebumps just from the trailers... :)

DreamWorks' 'Turbo' Announces An All-Star Cast Of Voices...

Courtesy of enewsi.com

DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. today announced that Ryan Reynolds will lead an all-star cast including Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzman, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph, Ben Schwartz, Kurtwood Smith, Snoop Dogg and Samuel L. Jackson in the Company’s upcoming original film Turbo, which tells the story of an ordinary garden snail with dreams of racing greatness. Turbo is scheduled to come to the big screen on July 19, 2013.

David Soren (Merry Madagascar), a DreamWorks Animation veteran as a story artist, voice actor and director, is set to direct the film based on his own original concept. Soren is co-writing the script with Robert Siegel (The Wrestler) and Darren Lemke (Shrek Forever After). Lisa Stewart (Monsters vs. Aliens, Almost Famous) is producing with Susan Rogers serving as co-producer.

Turbo is a snail who dreams of being the greatest racer in the world, just like his hero, 5-time Indianapolis 500 champ, Guy Gagne. His obsession with speed and all things fast has made him an oddity and outsider in the slow and cautious snail community, and a constant embarrassment to his careful older brother, Chet. Turbo desperately wishes he could escape the slow-paced life he’s living. As luck would have it, he gets that chance one fateful day after a freak accident when he suddenly finds himself vested with the power of incredible speed. Turbo embarks on an extraordinary journey to achieve the impossible: racing against the best that IndyCar has to offer. Turbo is the ultimate underdog who achieves the impossible by refusing to let his limitations get in the way of his dreams.

The Costumes Of Kryptonian Warrior...

As you're all probably aware by now I, that is "Kryptonian Warrior", am a geek...

A "Super-Geek" to be precise.

Not only am I a proud to call myself a geek but can also also be considered a fanboy, a nerd, and a true fountain of geeky knowledge, and have a room at home dedicated to my love of movies, TV, video-games and comics. I also own and run the biggest and best comic and collectable shop (and web-store) in the South East of England... OK so Red Sun is closed at this present moment, but there are plans in the works...

Aaaaanyway I say all this because it gives you just that little bit of comprehension as to the joy and satisfaction I get from suiting up in various geek-related costumes from time to time. I'm not what you'd call a "cosplayer", and I could never bring myself to go anywhere near the hardcore Anime and Manga scene, but I do love to suit up and represent certain characters now and then when I can.

My first attempt at a costume was around 7-8 years ago when I made up a very amateur Wolverine costume (when I had some hair), then a full-on canon Stargate SG-1 uniform a few years later, and then on to my Red Sun armour, Stormtrooper armour, purple Deep Space Red Sun armour (previously a Cadbury's mascot suit!), Rubies Darth Vader costume, and now my Fantastic Four "Thing" costume made to order by Fourth Wall Design...

I felt like sharing a few pics with you today so below is a little taster! Ant-Man and possibly Guardian also coming soon! :P
