Wolfenstein: The New Order - Video Game Trailer

I've been playing Wolfenstein games since their original release back in the 80's so the news that a brand new release is coming in the form of "The New Order" is awesome.

The trailer below shows some cinematics and a bit of game play (skip to 1:30 for the start of the game play footage) but beware that it's not particularly safe for work (NSFW). Enjoy!

Gotham - Jada Pinkett Smith Joins Cast!

Jada Pinkett Smith (known for many things including playing Niobe in two of the Matrix movies) has been cast in the upcoming Fox show 'Gotham' playing Fish Mooney "a sadistic gangster with street smarts and a short temper." = Penguin's boss.

The show will focus on a younger version of James Gordon, who is being played by Ben McKenzie. Other cast members include Donal Logue as Detective Harvey Bullock, Zabryna Guevara as Captain Essen, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, and Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot a.k.a the Penguin.

The hour long series was written by The Mentalist’s Bruno Heller, and the first episode will be directed by Danny Cannon (CSI).

Personally I think this show has a lot to live up to, but cast members like Smith joining only makes its pull stronger for prospective fans!

Terminator: Genesis - Kyle Reese Casting News!

The new Terminator franchise reboot has found its Kyle Reese - Die Hard: A Good Day to Die Hard's Jai Courtney (he played Bruce Willis' son Jack if you didn't know).

Jai will join Arnold Schwarzenegger, Game Of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, and Zero Dark Thirty’s Jason Clarke as her son, John Connor in the start of a new movie trilogy.

Hmmmm...

22 Jump Street - New Trailer

Guardians Of The Galaxy - New 15 Second Teaser Trailer!

And Karen Gillan looks awesome as Nebula!

Guardians Of The Galaxy - 3 New Images!

My most anticipated Marvel movie has 3 new images and the group shot is simply awesome...

The first trailer should be up on here tomorrow once it airs on Jimmy Kimmel tonight in the US!

"The movie teams five disparate personalities: Peter Quill (Pratt), aka Star-Lord, was taken from Earth as a 9-year-old, possesses a mysterious orb artifact and pilots the Milano, a muscle car of a spaceship. Gamora (Zoe Saldana) is connected to Thanos, arguably the cosmos’ biggest baddie. Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista) is a muscular dude you don’t want to upset. And then there are the aliens Rocket Raccoon and Groot (computer-generated characters voiced by Bradley Cooper andVin Diesel, respectively), who are best pals and potentially the biggest things to happen to pop culture since Chewbacca.

Their stories converge in the space prison Kyln. After the characters break out, they venture to Knowhere (the severed head of a celestial being that serves as a hangout for aliens) and visit the weird menagerie of the Collector (Benicio Del Toro). They also have to avoid two villains, Ronan (Lee Pace) and Nebula (Karen Gillan), who are in hot pursuit of Quill’s orb, which has the power to destroy the galaxy."

Game Of Thrones Season 4 - 2nd New Trailer!

Here's the second epic new trailer for season 4 of Game of Thrones. Can't wait for this!!!

Star Wars: Rebels - Two New Sneak Peak Teasers!

From Superherohype.com:

Lusasfilm has revealed two new teasers for their upcoming animated series "Star Wars Rebels." Featuring the lead character Ezra as voiced by Taylor Gray and some sneak peeks at a few other characters and ships, you can check them out in the players below.

Set between the events of "Episode III" and "IV" — an era spanning almost two decades never-before explored on-screen – "Star Wars Rebels" takes place in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape.

The show will be produced by Lucasfilm Animation, featuring many of the key talents that made "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." "Star Wars Rebels" is scheduled to premiere this fall as a one hour special on Disney Channel and will be followed by the series on Disney XD.

Nike Back To The Future II Self-Lacing Trainers Confirmed For 2015?

Great Scott!!! 2015 is only one year away and the tech of Back to the Future II, like hover-boards, still seem decades or more away, but one BTTF movie invention that fans have been waiting for and may now be able to get their hands on are "Nike Power Laces"!

Nike designer Tinker Hatfield showed up at the Jordan Brand's Flight Lab space in New Orleans recently, and when he was asked about power laces this is what he said,

"Are we gonna see power laces in 2015? To that, I say YES!"

The patent for the proposed shoe taken out in 2010 goes into some more detail by saying that “the automatic lacing system provides a set of straps that can be automatically opened and closed to switch between a loosened and tightened position of the upper. The article further includes an automatic ankle cinching system that is configured to automatically adjust an ankle portion of the upper.”

According to US news channel MSNBC, the shoes will work by having you “slip a switch, and the shoe tightens as if you just pulled and tightened conventional laces. The switch activates a motor that rolls or unrolls a spool of wire distributed throughout the shoe. When the spool reels in the wire, the shoe tightens along axis supported by various rods.”

So we could definitely be seeing Marty McFly self-lacing Nike's next year!

Video Game Trailers For Evolve, Titanfall, & The Elder Scrolls Online!

Below we have 3 trailers for some of the most anticipated and awesome looking games of 2014:  Evolve, Titanfall, & The Elder Scrolls Online. WANT, WANT, WANT!!!

Evolve is a multiplayer shooter for Windows, Xbox One and PS4 from the creators of Left 4 Dead and has a strange 4 vs. 1 format. The lone player is hardly helpless though, because he’s playing as a monster. This is the gameplay trailer:

Titanfall for Windows and Xbox One is the first next-gen shooter that combines pure adrenaline, wall-running, double-jumping action with powerful, fast-paced titan warfare to set the new bar for online multiplayer gameplay. This is the offcial beta gameplay trailer:

The Elder Scrolls Online for PC/Mac/PS4/Xbox One is the open ended massively multiplayer online role-playing release in the ongoing Elder Scrolls series (sucessor of Skyrim) and will feature a well known voice cast including John Cleese, Bill Nighy, Kate Beckinsale, Lynda Carter, Alfred Molina, Michael Gambon, Jennifer Hale, Malcolm McDowell, and Peter Stormare. This is the impressive cinematic trailer called "The Arrival":

Beetlejuice 2 Confirmed?

The long-awaited Beetlejuice sequel has been on the books for a long time with minor rumours popping up here and there for the last few years, but now we supposedly have confirmation from Michael Keaton himself that that things are almost in place and could be moving forward soon!

This is from Aggressivecomix.com:

Here is what Keaton had to say on the matter:

“I’ve emailed Tim a couple of times, Talked to the writers a couple times, but all really, really preliminary stuff until relatively recently. I always said that Beetlejuice is the one thing I’d do again if I ever did anything again, but it kind of required Tim to be involved some way or another. Now it looks like he is involved and without giving too much away, we’ve talked to each other and emailed each other and if he’s in, its going to be hard to not be in.”

In November, Winona Ryder, hinted that she was working on a sequel when this was all the buzz back in October.

“I’m kind of sworn to secrecy, but it sounds like it might be happening. It’s 27 later and I have to say, I love Lydia so much. She was a huge part of me. I would be really interested in what she is doing 27 years later.”

Excellent news for Beetlejuice fans like me! :)

Ride Along - Trailer

Having been to see the new Robocop movie last Wednesday night (which I thoroughly enjoyed by the way) I had to put up one of the trailers that aired before the film.

This is the trailer that had literally everyone in the cinema laughing their asses off the whole way through, including me, and it's called 'Ride Along' featuring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart.

Fast-talking security guard Ben joins his cop brother-in-law James on a 24-hour patrol of Atlanta in order to prove himself worthy of marrying Angela, James' sister.

Enjoy!

Transformers: Age of Extinction - First Look At Grimlock Toy?

Two images below of the Hasbro Transformers: Age of Extinction Grimlock toy in both Dino mode and robot mode. I haven't bothered with some of the other images released of the other bots as they're not that much different than before and not that exciting, and isn't everyone just looking forward to seeing (and hearing) Grimlock in this movie anyway? Be aware that this is obviously just the toy and that the colour scheme, and possibly the final design of what we see in the movie, may differ.

Well here you are.

A New Knight Rider Movie With Chris Pratt & Danny McBride?

Growing up in the 80's meant watching some of the most loved retro US live-action TV shows ever made. The A-Team, Airwolf, Street Hawk, ALF, The Dukes of Hazzard, and Automan (to name but a few) were staples of Saturday evening TV in my house, but one always stood out for me - Knight Rider. I loved the 80's series, I even loved the short-lived and much hated 2008 show which only lasted for 17 episodes, but I'm slightly worried at the recent rumour via SchmoesKnow.com that a new movie remake could be in the works and might feature Chris Pratt (Star Lord in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie) and Danny McBride (er, every bad movie ever made?).

The rumour states that Pratt could be our new Michael Knight and McBride may be the voice of K.I.T.T. The script is said to have been turned in by Brad Copeland (writer of Yogi Bear, Wild Hogs, Arrested Development, and Ground for Life) which just adds to the worrying part as I really wouldn't want a Knight Rider reboot to be an all out comedy, and it gives me shivers to think anyone in their right mind would think of McBide as the voice of ultra hight tech A.I. of K.I.T.T., even in a comedy.

At this point I'm going to simply hope that it's an unfounded rumour and leave it at that!

Game Of Thrones - First Look At New Action Figures

Manufacturer Funko have just released images of the first wave of their brand new Game of Thrones action figures. The company who are famed for their bobble head range and more recent vinyl toy expansion aren't known for delving into "normal" action figures, that's usually left to NECA or Mezco when it comes to TV shows, but below you'll find the images for wave 1 with the wave 2 set to include New Daenerys (mother of dragons outfit), Khal Drogo, Jamie Lannister, Robb Stark, Arya, and Brienne.

Below: Tyrion, Jon, Ned, The Hound, White Walker, and Daenerys.

'Gotham' TV Series Casting News

About two weeks ago a rumour surfaced that Donal Logue was up for the roll of Detective Harvey Bullock in the new DC Comics 'Gotham' TV series. Last week he was officially confirmed for the role, confirming that rumour, and then a whole bunch of other casting news went up straight after.

So below you'll find an image (via tv.yahoo.com) with the recently confirmed actor/actress and their role in Gotham.

From left to right: Benjamin McKenzie (James Gordon), Donal Logue (Harvey Bullock), Robin Lord Taylor (Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin), Zabryna Guevara (Captain Essen), Sean Pertwee (Alfred Pennyworth), and Erin Richards (Barbara Kean).

I can't say that that I'm excited for this show, but with this cast and the possibility of seeing young versions of heroes and villains from the Batman universe, it could have excellent potential. If it just ends up being a detective/cop show I'm out...

Felix Baumgartner's Free Fall From The Edge Of Space: "The Full Story" - Video

Being born almost a decade too late to witness the 1969 Moon landing one the coolest things I've ever watched since was the amazing 24 mile high Red Bull Stratos free fall jump from a stratospheric helium balloon in October 2012 by Felix Baumgartner. Felix achieved speeds of 843.6 mph over 4 minutes and 19 seconds and set the record for altitude for a manned balloon flight, parachute jump from the highest altitude, and greatest free fall velocity.

I'm posting this video up here with the new amalgamated footage from all the Go Pro cameras that filmed the event as my family and I were all crowded round the computer screen when Felix made this jump live via YouTube, and for me it was an awesome and magical experience watching the whole thing unfold. That moment he steps out, says the words "I'm coming home now", and launches himself off the platform are simply awe-inspiring and I loved watching it again via this video.

Hope you enjoy too! If you don't want to watch all the prep etc skip to 3:30 mins in and you can see the actual jump and free fall.

Marvel Movie News Rundown!

Loads of news has broken over the last few days as to possible plot lines, character casting, and sequel possibilities for upcoming Marvel movies. Here's the run down one by one:

SPOILERS!!!

Dailymail.co.uk are reporting that Paul Bettany (who plays the voice of J.A.R.V.I.S in the Iron Man movies) is joining the Avengers cast as the android and classic Avengers team mate 'Vision'. The character which in the comics world was created by Ultron (Avengers 2's bad guy) and ends up married to the Scarlet Witch may have his back story altered to fit the new movie version of events, but if this news is true then it fits that Tony Stark's advanced A.I. could and would take physical form, especially if Ultron is now a creation of Tony rather than Hank Pym/Ant-Man like in the comics. Great news if it's true.

News broke this week regarding Captain America: The Winter Soldier's direct "follow-on" storyline connection to Avengers: Age of Ultron and that we may be seeing Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in the mid-credits scene (both of who will be having a major role in the Avengers sequel). It stands to reason that Cap 2 is the closest Marvel/Avengers movie to the upcoming release of Avengers 2 and each Marvel movie has somehow connect to the next one in line each time with a short mid or post credits sequence. Supposedly we're all going to be shocked and in awe of what they look like, which can only be good considering what we've seen coming from X-Men: Days of Future Past recently!

Latino-review.com have stated this week that they have insider information confirming that the final major role in Avengers: Age of Ultron will definitely be that of Carol Danvers aka Ms. Marvel. Although rumours have been rife that Ms. Marvel was going to be a part of the cast (and to honest she really had to be) this current rumour/spoiler only states that she's in it, but doesn't state how. In fact it's specifically stated that saying "how" she's in it would be a spoiler, so is it a cameo? Does she work for S.H.I.E.L.D? Is she an after credits pop-up? We'll have to wait and see. And who should play her? Yvonne Strahovski and Katee Sackhoff have been mentioned in the past. Both of those choices are fine by me!

Is Evangeline Lilly up for a major role in the Ant-Man movie? Rumours popped up online yesterday (via EW.com) that the LOST and Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug star is in the running for a role in the film and everyone has gone straight to the "is she playing Wasp" question. Obviously she'd a brilliant Janet Van Dyne, but hold on, she's way too young to be playing Michael Douglas' wife isn't she? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe the part is going to be remoulded to fit the film and she'll be Hank Pym's daughter and love interest of the new Paul Rudd Ant-Man, or maybe she's up for a different as yet undisclosed role. Either way having seen Lilly play Tauriel in The Hobbit 2 recently I can only be happy (and very much in love) with her and the news that she's possibly entering the Marvel movie universe!

Guardians of the Galaxy looks set to be a HUGE Marvel movie outing and it seems that such faith in the film has already been garnered that the sequel is already being planned for a 2016 release during Marvel's Phase 3 line up (via Joblo.com). I'm an absolutely massive GOTG comic fan and the first movie is something I simply can't wait for. Knowing that they're possibly planning a sequel too is just music to my geeky ears!
