HOLY CRAP!!! Tommy The Green Ranger Got Big!!!

Seriously... No seriously... This is Tommy the Green (and White) ranger from Power Rangers as he looks now...

I know, I know. I said WTF more than once too.

Tommy AKA Jason David Frank is now a heavy weight mixed-martial-arts fighter covered from head to toe in massive tattoos and looking not unlike Batista from WWE. The only reason I found this was because Jason punched some guys teeth out after a fight for accusing him of stealing some MMA gloves and everyone's now calling him a bad guy... Who cares THIS IS TOMMY THE GREEN RANGER DUDE!

New Winnie The Pooh Movie - Poster & Trailer

If you didn't know (or maybe you didn't care) a new Winnie the Pooh movie is heading our way and below is the poster and trailer. Pooh has a massive influence in our household with the missus coillecting a hell of a lot of memorabilia over the last 30 years and the kids following close behind.

The film was co-directed by Stephen J. Anderson (Meet the Robinsons, Journey Beneath the Sea), Don Hall, and Disney veteran Burny Mattinson (Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too). It stars the voices of Jim Cummings (Pooh and Tigger), Craig Ferguson (Owl), Tom Kenny (Rabbit), Travis Oates, and Bud Luckey. Zooey Deschanel even sings a nice new version of the Pooh theme song.

Enjoy!

Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars - Gameplay Trailer

I've said it dozens of times before when I talk about Lego games, but my daughter and I love playing them all and we can't wait for not only the new Pirates of the Caribbean Lego game but also the new Star Wars Clone Wars version too.

Here's a trailer below showing some of the excellent looking gameplay and numerous moments of brick-based humour that the series is so famous for.

Scream 4 - Poster

Below is the first poster I've seen online for Scream 4. It's nothing special and mimics the previous posters for the last 3 films down to a T but to me that's a good thing. I actually really like the Scream movies and it'd be great to see a proper ending to the franchise... (Like Sidney is the killer now! :P)

New Animated Thundercats - Trailer

Finally we have a trailer for the upcoming Cartoon Network Thundercats cartoon remake and even though it's not the best quality and there's no sound other than the dodgy classical music, which I doubt has anything to do with the actual show itself, Thundercats is coming back baby!

Cool Pics From The Web...

Another batch of pics from around the web for you here!

The Voice Of Duke Nukem Being Nice...

Jon St. John is the voice behind one of the most recognisable gaming characters, and voices, of all time - Duke Nukem.

In this video Jon is recording "nice" sayings/phrases for interviewer Doug Huggem via Mega64. Gotta love the man, he looks like Duke in his 50's who's let him self go, but is totally loving his retirement and is of course still totally awesome... :)

Epic Sound-alikes Are Awesome!

Two videos here for you featuring two pretty cool sound-alikes, one for Michael Jackson singing Billie Jean (a Brazillian a capella singer driving his car) and the second from a stunning Axl Rose imitator singing Sweet Child O'Mine in front of a semi pro set up.

Awesome stuff!

James Corden To Return To Doctor Who?

James Corden is set to reprise his role as Craig Owens in the upcoming series of Doctor Who!

This is from blastr.com:

Last season's Doctor Who episode, "The Lodger," was one funny piece of sci-fi television. It was helped along by the sweet and sympathetic character of Craig Owens, played by James Corden—and if you liked him, too, you're gonna love the fact that the BBC has just confirmed that the character will be returning for series six.

This is what the BBC said in the official press release today:

The character of Craig Owens proved popular last year. James described him as 'an ordinary bloke' but part of the character's appeal was his quiet bravery and charm. He became firm friends with the Doctor and we're now looking forward to seeing that friendship renewed!
As you recall, Craig never got to step into the Doctor's famous time machine, and just last year actor James Corden (of Gavin and Stacey fame) had said, "There's been no talk of my return. I'd love another adventure—it would be great! I'm sort of disappointed I didn't get to go in the TARDIS. ..."

And into the TARDIS he may go if we can believe the BBC, which is teasing us about the possibility: "Who knows if he'll find his way into the Doctor's time machine this time around?"

As for which episode Corden will show up for, What's on TV claims that the actor will make his return as Craig Owens in the 12th episode of series six. The storyline is still being kept under wraps, with shooting expected to begin on location as early as next week.

First Movie Image From 'Rise Of The Apes' With James Franco

This has to be the most boring image release for an upcoming sci-fi movie I've ever seen. It's James Franco in a lab with an uncomfortably huge Bluetooth headset on being boring... Where are the apes? Where's the sets? Where's the apes? Oh, hold on, already said that one. But you get my point. Who gives a flying monkey (pun intended) about Franco in a lab when it's a damned Planet of the Apes movie! :P

First Look At New Toy Story Short, "Hawaiian Vacation".

Here are the first two pics of the new Toy Story Short - "Hawaiian Vacation".

You can never get enough Toy Story so I'm sure you'll agree with me that this new short will be a welcome addition to the franchise!

Hangover II - First Teaser Trailer

The Hangover was one of the last movies that really made me laugh, y'know one of those films where you do a long loud belly laugh that turns into a snort fest and ends with you honking up your lunch... The most fun you can have from a movie without it featuring women and mud wrestling...

The movie was so popular that it had an almost instant sequel greenlit which is due for release in May this year.

Here's the first teaser trailer (that doesn't show much at all) where the boys visit Bangkok Thailand for Stu's wedding... with disastrous results yet again!

Sexy Nightmare Slayers - First Pic

This is the first pic from Atom's new web series 'Sexy Nightmare Slayers', starring Team Unicorn's Clare Grant (Seth Green's wife) (left) and Rileah Vanderbilt (Wonder Woman from the recent superhero dating video I posted last week) (right).

Co-created by Vanderbilt, the series is "about two scantily clad angels from heaven who protect children from the monsters under their beds, the demons in their closet, and a variety of other ghoulish creations that go bump in the night," according to Dread Central.

I can see this being quite popular with the lads...

Paul - Adult Trailer

For all of you that haven't seen "Paul" yet - shame on you. It's one of my favourite movies of recent times and should be part of any movie geek's staple diet. Nuff said.

The American's don't get this until half way through March but I got to see it recently at the cinema and I can't recommend enough, it's fantastic and incredibly funny.

Here's the Redband (adult) trailer for it to whet your appetites!

Green Lantern: Emerald Knights Animated Movie Trailer...

I can't get enough of Green Lantern at the moment, whether it be in movie, comic or video game form, and this trailer for the upcoming Emerald Knights animated movie is the cream on the proverbial cake for me.

Featuring the voices of Nathan Fillion (the one true Hal Jordan!), Jason Isaacs, Arnold Vosloo and Elisabeth Moss this movie features all your favourite Green Lantern characters and looks to be action packed and totally frickin awesome!

E.T. 2 - Fake But Awesome Trailer...

This has got to be one of the best fake trailers I've ever seen, as well as being slightly funny (loving the attack on Morgan Freeman and the end logo arm bit...). It's a faux trailer for E.T. 2 or E.X.T: Extinction as it's been called by the creator and uses scenes from various other movies spliced into one to not only give us the original actors appearing but also a sense of drama and Cloverfield-style sci-fi. Very cool!

Beware it's NSFW!

Kevin Costner & Viggo Mortensen Up For Pa Kent & General Zod In New Superman Movie?

News hit the web last week that a couple of big names may have significant roles in the upcoming Superman movie - "The Man of Steel".

Kevin Costner seems to have nabbed the role of Jonathan Kent (Clark's father) and Viggo Mortensen has supposedly been approached to play General Zod, the role made famous by Terence Stamp in Superman II.

Neither actor has been 100% by the studio at this stage but the news does come from inside sources close to Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder's camp, although they could of course turn down the roles...

We'll just have to wait and see. I'm more interested in who is playing Lois seeing as Kate Bosworth was toxic in Superman Returns!

Real Life Mario Kart - Again

This is another real life Mario Kart video except that this time creator Freddie Wong uses his FX skills to put classic Mario Kart power-ups and moments into a karting rink with smile-inducing consequences!

Star Trek & Angry Birds = The Avian Factor...

What do you get when you mash up Star Trek The Next Generation with Angry Birds? Well you turn the classic episode "The Game" into "The Avian Factor"!

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon 2nd Trailer...

This is the second short (30 second) teaser trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon and I have to admit that it looks great. I'm a big Michael Bay fan and a massive Transformer movie fan (I might be alone in the world on those two points!) and even though my beloved Megan Fox isn't starring in the 3rd outing I still can't wait to see it!

Best. Cake. EVER !

This is probably one of the best cakes I've ever seen! Actually playable, oh my!

The cake-maker/father of 6 year old Ben said this;
"It's become a family tradition that I make increasingly ridiculous birthday cakes for my kids each year. So with my little boy Ben turning 6-years-old over the weekend, and appreciating his love of Angry Birds, I thought I'd have a shot a making him a playable Angry Birds birthday cake with working catapult and iced birds as ammunition."

Yer A Wizard, Harry... Or not.

This was a submission to Moviefone's "America's Biggest Harry Potter Fan" contest. Just watch in absolute disbelief.

Black Widow - Bam !

From the guy who bought us the brilliant Iron Baby video, here is an outstanding animation done using Hot Toys! We actually sell most of these at Red Sun Comics & Collectables, so its somewhat freaky seeing them like this haha!

Guillermo Del Toro Takes on Pinocchio!

I have to admit to being totally oblivious to the fact that Guillermo del Toro is making his long-planned 3D stop-motion animation adaptation of Pinocchio, joining forces with The Jim Henson Company and Pathe to bring this unique project to life.

Working as a producer on a story he has been toiling away on for the past four years, Guillermo del Toro has provided two pieces of concept art and a look at the stop-motion puppets from the upcoming reimagining of this iconic fairytale, which you can check out below.

Henry Cavill Channeling Superman In New Pics...

English actor Henry Cavill is our new Superman in Zack Snyder's upcoming movie and Entertainment Weekly did an interview and photo-shoot recently with him channelling his inner Clark Kent wearing a Superman t-shirt. Nothing special but it gives you a slightly better insight into what he'll be like as Supes.

X-Men Anime Japanese Trailer

Here's a sneak peek at the new X-Men anime cartoon set to air in Japan in April and then US TV later in the year.

I'm not a huge fan of anime and the extent of my knowledge pretty much starts and ends with Akira, but there's the possibility this could be quite watchable, and not because the Japanese will throw in load of boobs, bums and tentacles at every opportunity either!

Matthew Vaughn To Helm New Movie About Retired Superheroes?

X-Men: First class isn't even in cinemas yet but director Matthew Vaughn isn't sitting around on his laurels waiting for his next directing gig to fall in his lap.

Vaughn is dead set on making a new movie based on Jonathan Ross's newest comic "The Golden Age", which is based on a retirement home for old superheroes who are called back to duty to help their grandchildren save the world. Vaughn wants Clint Eastwood, Jack Nicholson and Warren Beatty as his dream cast for the flick which sounds pretty cool if he could ever lock them all in...

Here's a blurry look at the comic artwork for The Golden Age comic.

Stargate SG-1's Teal'c - "Indeed" Video

Are you a fan of Stargate SG-1? Do you remember Teal'c saying "indeed" in almost every episode?

I know I do, and it's so ingrained into my psyche that I say it myself all the time.

Here's a video with every one of his "indeeds" for your viewing pleasure!

Flying Balloon Fish & Shark Are Freaky...

Call me silly but these helium filled remote controlled mylar balloon creatures, specifically a clown fish and shark, freak me the hell out... See what you think.

Dead Island - New Videogame Trailer

A trailer that seems to be making a big impact online at the moment (and not for any actual gameplay footage reason, but more to do with how upsetting and horrible it is) is "Dead Island". For a parent like myself it was pretty gutwrenching , even for a short game trailer! Hopefully we'll see some gameplay footage soon and no more kid-based moments...

Here is the original trailer (which plays backwards) and then the trailer played in reverse so that it's chronologically correct.

WARNING: NSFW!!!

GameTrailers Tribute Video - Shotguns!

I'm one of those games that almost always chooses a shotgun in a game over a machine gun. One of those gamers who'd rather blow the head off a bad guy or rampaging zombie with one clean shot that pump them full of lead with an uzi or a sniper rifle.

This video below is a GameTrailers tribute to shotguns in videogames (a lot of which I recognise and own myself) and brings back a lot of gaming memories right back to the days of the Megadrive and even the original Doom.

Johnny McEntee American Football Trick Shots - Video

If these are real, which I'm pretty sure they are (missing out all his missed attempts of course) this guy Johnny McEntee has some serious skills with an American Football!

Infamous 2: Nix Karma Video

One of my favourite PS3 games of all time was 'Infamous' and up until yesterday I had no idea there was a sequel planned, let alone the fact that it was almost ready to be released and there was a trailer online for it!

Here it is in all its electrical-chaotic glory!

Judgement Day Is Coming... IBM's WATSON wins Jeopardy!

Those movies where computers become super intelligent and eradicate the world of human-kind are just that one step closer to reality now that IBM computer's WATSON is here. Although so far it's only capable of whipping a human's butt at Jeopardy, but tomorrow it'll instigate a Skynet style armageddon scenario and we'll all be screwed!

Superharmony - Date A Superhero/Supervillain - Mock Video!

Eharmony is a dating webiste both here in the UK and in the US and this video below is a mock version of one of their adverts, but this time it's called "Superharmony" and it's where the average civilian can find themselves a superhero or supervillain! I can't help but laugh at the Batman one at the end, very funny.

Personally I'd only join if there was a chance Powergirl was available (I know it's fake), but hey that's just me... :P

TV's New Wonder Woman Finally Cast...

It was a bit touch and go for a while as to whether Wonder Woman would return to our TV screens but luckily NBC jumped to the rescue and pulled it from the jaws of oblivion.

News this week hit the net that actress Adrianne Palicki has nabbed the lead role of Diana Prince the Los Angeles CEO/Superheroine vigilante and as she was the only actress to test for the role NBC obviously had her in mind in along.

I have to admit to not knowing any of Adrienne's previous work apart from Supernatural and the movie "Legion" (the one with Paul Bettany and the battling Angels etc) but she's well known for Friday Night Lights, voice acting on Titan Maximum and Robot Chicken and even the failed Aquaman pilot.

I can probably think of a number of other actresses that would better suit the role (visually at least) but either way Adrianne is our Wonder Woman, all we have to do now is wait for the costume... Will it be classic Lynda Carter style or the post issue #600 comic version with the street-look denim and leather!

Weird Wolverine vs The Hand Video...

I understand the art in this, and I think it's cool and all, but for some reason I'm not a fan. It's being posted up on a lot of sites so I thought I'd join in and show you what the whole hoo-hah is about.

It's a sort of moving pictures/motion comic video showing Wolverine and I believe Yukio battling the ninjas of The Hand and it's made by Gary Shore.

Wolverine Vs The Hand from Gary Shore on Vimeo.

New Thor Trailer...

Another new Thor trailer with quite a bit more previously unseen footage with quite a bit more humour and action...

Enjoy!

Jurassic Park - The Videogame Trailer

I posted about this new upcoming Jurassic Park game by Telltale Games (the same guys doing the Back to the Future game) a little while back but I have to admit I didn't expect a trailer anytime soon. Granted there's no actual gameplay footage involved but as soon as you hear the trademark T-Rex roar you're back in 1993 and the first time you watched JP in the cinema and shat your pants during that goat-fence-T-Rex scene!

Does Barry Manilow know that you raid his wardrobe?

If you're a fan of Zelda and Jon Hughes films (Weird Science, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Buellers Day Off,) then I suggest you watch this! I love this, the hints at the Jon Hughes films are brilliant and so are the costumes and 80s-esque acting :D !

If only this was a legit film !!

BUILD !!

Now I've seen a lot of Lego stop motion animation and music videos done with it... but this really takes the biscuit !!

Cool Pics From The Web!

A huge "cool pics from the web" update for you here today!
