Movie News Rundown Of The week...

Not a lot of time to write a lot here, so forgive me for the lack of content!

Tron 3 confirms Garrett Hedlund returning and it being the 'Empire Strikes Back' of the Tron movies

Disney is moving forward quite rapidly with Tron 3 and news broke last week that Tron: Legacy's protagonist Sam Flynn will be returning and that Garrett Hedlund will be reprising the role. The thrird film in the franchise will supposedly be the "Empire Strikes Back" of the movies, most probably meaning the bad guys will be winning by the end of the film and if a fourth one gets made the good guys will then tip the scales in some way as in Return of the Jedi... I loved Legacy, unlike some, so I can't wait for the sequel!

Jackie Chan confirmed for Expendables 3

Yahoo recently spoke with actor Jackie Chan who confirmed for them that he would be starring in Expendables 3:

"Sly had invited me to be in "Expendables 2" but I was too busy filming "CZ12" and couldn't make a commitment to the film. But he did extend his invitation to the third movie, which I agreed on the condition that I will be appearing as more than just a minor role with a few scenes," said Chan.

Chan added that he had revealed to Stallone that he hoped the third instalment of the franchise would run along the lines of a 'buddy-buddy' movie should Chan be starring in it, which the "Rambo" star obliged. Currently, the script is in the midst of being worked on to meet the criteria.

Ricky Gervais confirmed as lead in The Muppets sequel

To my utter dismay (I'm not a Rickey Gervais fan at all) the lead role for the upcoming sequel to The Muppets has just been confirmed as Mr. Gervais... No details about the theme at this time but to be honest the Muppets can't do any wrong in my eyes, even with Ricky's involvement. That is all.

First images from The Hangover 3

The first official images of The Hangover Part III have emerged online, featuring a first look at the gang’s return to Las Vegas, where the adventure first started in a tiger-infested hotel room.

The image sees our four heroes striking an Abbey Road-esque pose against the Vegas backdrop, although Sin City will apparently be just one of many stops on their itinerary.

Meanwhile, director Todd Phillips has dropped a few tidbits on what we can expect from the third film, explaining that the focus will fall largely on everyone’s favourite beardy buffoon, Alan.

“The Hangover Part 3 is Alan’s story,” says Phillips. ”He’s going through a crisis after the death of his father, [and] the Wolfpack is all he has.” Aww… that’s bromance for you.

Ken Jeong’s increasingly deranged Leslie Chow will also be making a return, seen in one of the new images brandishing a gun and a sheriff’s badge. “He’s darker than ever,” confirms Phillips, ominously.

Co-starring Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper and Justin Bartha, The Hangover Part 3 will open in the UK on 24 May 2013.

New poster for A Good Day to Die Hard

A brand new poster for Die Hard 5: A Good Day to Die Hard featuring John McClane and his son Jack.

Iconoclastic, take-no-prisoners cop John McClane, for the first time, finds himself on foreign soil after travelling to Moscow to help his wayward son Jack – unaware that Jack is really a highly-trained CIA operative out to stop a nuclear weapons heist. With the Russian underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, the two McClane's discover that their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes.
