So what delights do the multiplex's have for us this year? Not sure? Well check the following listings and plan your diary ahead.........its gonna be a good year.

The Devil Inside

Synopsis: In 1989, emergency responders received a 9-1-1 call from Maria Rossi (Suzan Crowley) confessing that she had brutally killed three people. 20 years later, her daughter Isabella (Fernanda Andrade) seeks to understand the truth about what happened that night. She travels to the Centrino Hospital for the Criminally Insane in Italy where her mother has been locked away to determine if her mother is mentally ill or demonically possessed. When she recruits two young exorcists (Simon Quarterman and Evan Helmuth) to cure her mom using unconventional methods combining both science and religion, they come face-to-face with pure evil in the form of four powerful demons possessing Maria.

Additional Notes: This is not based on a true story. Similar to Paranormal Activity, it is a horror movie that claims to follow a family using handheld and security camera video to give the sense of real-life events.

Synopsis: Stephanie Plum (Katherine Heigl), an unemployed lingerie buyer, convinces her bail bondsman cousin, Vinnie (Patrick Fischler), to give her a shot as a bounty hunter. Her first assignment is to track down a former cop, Joe Morelli (Jason O'Mara), on the run for murder -- the same man who broke her heart years before. With the help of some friends and the best bounty hunter in the business, Ranger (Daniel Sunjata), she slowly learns what it takes to be a true bounty hunter.




The Grey

Synopsis: Liam Neeson leads an unruly group of oil-rig roughnecks when their plane crashes into the remote Alaskan wilderness. Battling mortal injuries and merciless weather, the survivors have only a few days to escape the icy elements – and a vicious pack of rogue wolves on the hunt – before their time runs out.





Man on a Ledge

Synopsis: An ex-cop-turned-con (Sam Worthington) threatens to jump to his death from a Manhattan hotel rooftop. The NYPD dispatches a female police psychologist to talk him down but, unbeknownst to the cops on the scene, the suicide attempt is a cover for a massive diamond heist.

The Woman in Black

Synopsis: A young lawyer (Daniel Radcliffe) travels to a remote village where he discovers the vengeful ghost of a scorner woman is terrorizing the locals.





The Innkeepers

Synopsis: After over one hundred years of service, The Yankee Pedlar Inn is shutting its doors for good. The last remaining employees -Claire (Sara Paxton) and Luke (Pat Healy) - are determined to uncover proof of what many believe to be one of New England's most haunted hotels. As the Inn’s final days draw near, odd guests check in as the pair of minimum wage “ghost hunters” begin to experience strange and alarming events that may ultimately cause them to be mere footnotes in the hotel’s long unexplained history.

Synopsis: The Trade Federation begins an embargo around the planet Naboo. The Galactic Senate sends Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi to settle the issue, but events don't go according to the plan.

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island

Synopsis: The new journey begins when Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson) receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist — a place of strange life forms, mountains of gold, deadly volcanoes, and more than one astonishing secret. The secret is rumored to involve Sean's missing grandfather, Alexander Anderson (Michael Caine). Unable to stop him from going, Sean's new stepfather (Dwayne Johnson) joins the quest. Together with a helicopter pilot (Luis Guzman) and his beautiful, strong-willed daughter (Vanessa Hudgens), they set out to find the island, rescue its lone inhabitant and escape before seismic shockwaves force the island under the sea and bury its treasures forever.





Safe House

Synopsis: The storyline follows the only surviving agent of an attack on a CIA safe house (Ryan Reynolds) as he tries to get a lethal prisoner (Denzel Washington) to a second safe house before being taken out by violent forces that want them both dead.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

Synopsis: Johnny Blaze returns in the sequel to the 2007 comic book movie.


The story sees Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider (Nicholas Cage), hiding out in remote Eastern Europe and struggling to repress his curse. Blaze is recruited by a sect to take on The Devil (Ciaran Hinds), who wants to take over his mortal son’s body on the kid’s birthday. Idris Elba plays an alcoholic warrior monk tasked with finding Ghost Rider. Johnny Whitworth plays a criminal who is recruited by The Devil to find the boy and is later turned into a demonic creature.




This Means War

Synopsis: The world's deadliest CIA operatives are inseparable partners and best friends until they fall for the same woman. Having once helped bring down entire enemy nations, they are now employing their incomparable skills and an endless array of high-tech gadgetry against their greatest nemesis ever - each other.

Lockout

Starring: Maggie Grace and Guy Pearce.

Synopsis: An orbiting prison 50 miles above the earth houses the world’s most dangerous criminals, who are kept asleep by sophisticated methods until they are suddenly awakened.



Gone

Synopsis: One night, a young woman named Jill returns home to find her sister's bed empty. She's convinced the serial killer who kidnapped her two years before has come back to finish the job. But the police do not believe Jill, who knows time is running out. With no one to turn to, she sets off to find her sister and face her abductor once and for all.

Raven

Synopsis: Thriller set in the last days of Edgar Allan Poe's life, when he gets wrapped up in a serial killer investigation.




Playback

Synopsis: While digging into their town’s infamous past, a group of high school students unwittingly unlock an even darker secret. Now, an evil spirit has been awakened and will stop at nothing to find his true heir.

Wrath of the Titans

Synopsis: After Ares betrays Zeus to the Titans, Perseus treks to the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind.


A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus—the demigod son of Zeus—is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Synopsis: Summoned by Glinda, Dorothy and Toto return to the land of Oz. Intruders

Synopsis: In Spain, a mother tries to protect her son from a faceless stranger, while in Britain, a young girl has terrifying dreams of a demon who becomes a real danger to her and her family.

Jason Bourne will not be featured in the film; Jeremy Renner will play another assassin trained in the same program as Bourne.

Synopsis: Based on a Philip K. Dick story in which people can buy literal dream vacation. Unlike the 1990 version with Arnold Schwarzenegger, the movie takes place entirely on one planet.
