Batman Ninja - English Trailer
Prepare to witness the Dark Knight, alongside many of his most famed allies and infamous foes, in an eye-popping anime display you've never seen before when Warner Bros. Japan, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment present Batman Ninja. The all-new, feature-length animated film arrives on Digital starting April 24, 2018, and Blu-ray™ Steelbook, Blu-ray™ Combo Pack and DVD on May 8, 2018.
Batman Ninja takes a journey across the ages as Gorilla Grodd's time displacement machine transports many of Batman's worst enemies to feudal Japan - along with the Dark Knight and a few of his allies. The villains take over the forms of the feudal lords that rule the divided land, with the Joker taking the lead among the warring factions. As his traditional high-tech weaponry is exhausted almost immediately, Batman must rely on his intellect and his allies - including Catwoman and the extended Bat-family - to restore order to the land, and return to present-day Gotham City.
The visually stunning Batman Ninja is the creative result of a trio of anime's finest filmmakers: director Jumpei Mizusaki (Opening animation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure), writer Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann), and character designer Takashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai) produced the original movie with Warner Bros. Japan. The script was then reinterpreted and rewritten for English-language distribution by award-winning screenwriters Leo Chu and Eric Garcia (Supah Ninjas, Afro Samurai). Benjamin Melniker and Michael Uslan are Executive Producers.
Roger Craig Smith (Batman: Arkham Origins) and Tony Hale (Veep, Arrested Development) lead an impressive cast as the voices of Batman and the Joker, respectively. Grey Griffin (Scooby-Doo franchise) and Tara Strong (Batman: The Killing Joke) supply the voices of the antagonist & protagonist's closest allies - Catwoman and Harley Quinn, respectively - while Fred Tatasciore (Family Guy) provides the gruff-yet-sophisticated tones of Gorilla Grodd, a villain who must team with Batman to achieve his own personal agenda. Other voice actors include Bat-family members Yuri Lowenthal (Ben 10: Omniverse) as Robin, Adam Croasdell (Reign) as Nightwing and Alfred, and Will Friedle (Boy Meets World) as Red Robin, and the Rogue's gallery also features Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants) as Penguin and Eric Bauza (The Adventures of Puss in Boots) as Two-Face. Doing double duty is Tatasciore as Deathstroke, Strong as Poison Ivy, and Friedle as Red Hood.
Overboard 2018 Reboot - Trailer
They made a reboot of the 1987 classic Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell romantic comedy 'Overboard'???
Yes they did... and they gender-swapped it (as is the way of a lot of reboots lately) with Anna Faris and Eugenio Derbez.

Rampage - Official Trailer 2
The 2nd bats**t crazy trailer for the arcade game-based movie 'Rampage' is here!
Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakeable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, it's soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.

The Librarians Season 4 'And the Echoes of Memory' Review
It's the season finale! 'And the Echoes of Memory' follows on from when we last saw Eve, in an alternate reality where the Library never existed. But, that means there is no colour, no curiosity, no food worth eating, (fat and flour-ugh), no intellect, no knowledge. If we ever underestimated how much Nicole hated the Library, this terrible new world is a reminder not too.
There are so many things to love about this episode; Eve's memory palace, Dean Devlin's superb direction, the alienness of this new world, the almost Tim Burtonesque absurd reality where everything is its own monotone and deprived environment, the 'Doctor Who' references!

It doesn't take long before Eve finds the Librarians; Stone is selling cars, Cassandra is having trouble stapling as her mind is filled with beautiful puzzles and connections and Ezekiel is the most famous person in the world (it makes sense).
And then there's Flynn! He was kidnapped by Nicole in the Library and since then, his memories have been 'reset' but he keeps remembering. Nicole is rather naive to think a few procedures would stop Flynn remembering the Library because he's collecting fragments, pieces of memory and drawing them together to create a picture.
With Eve by his side, they remember the Library together in a beautifully shot scene with the camera spinning and both realities fading into one another (praise Dean Devlin). But, as their reunion is interrupted by Nicole, it's up to the Librarians to save them before the Library is wiped from their memories permanently.
It's wonderful to see that the Librarians have an instinct, a feeling that they know each other without even really having to try. Maybe the universe knows these three will always know and recognise each other no matter what skin they are in.
And as the team is reunited, their memories and a little sprinkle of magic bring the Library back to life. But, no Jenkins! Flynn has a plan for that. It's smart that Nicole is given a chance to redeem herself and live the life she ought to by becoming the guardian of the Library. In some ways, the Librarians are healers, as well as, thinkers and philosophers.
So, with the help of a toaster, time is reset to the tethering ceremony we saw at the beginning of the series. No-one remembers the alternate reality apart from Flynn and Eve, who finally tether. Hopefully, this ensures there is no more talk about, there can only be one Librarian, when clearly the Library has moved past that rule.
Not to forget, Jenkins is alive! And he's immortal again. So, technically, none of it actually happened but it kind of did. I bet Eve hates alternate realities now too! The season finale is original, imaginative, smart, dynamic, funny and gives a hopeful and satisfying ending to the series as a whole. The only thing that can be said- let's hope there is a fifth season!

Movie & TV News Roundup Of The Week
Below are the bits of news that I didn't put up this week as individual posts but are all still pretty important in the world of movies and TV. Enjoy!
Lucasfilm announced this week that David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are working on an all-new saga. The creators behind HBO's Game of Thrones are working on a new series of Star Wars movies which they will both write and produce. The new series will be separate from the main episodic Skywalker saga that started with “Star Wars: A New Hope” and is slated to wrap up with 2019’s “Star Wars: Episode IX.” It will also exist independently from a Rian Johnson-helmed series that was announced last year.
On the back of the recent news that a Lord of the Rings TV show will be coming from Amazon TV, and the much older news that a King Conan movie is incoming soon, we have brand new information released this week that the streaming service are looking to cash in on the success of shows like HBO's Game of Thrones and get Robert E. Howard's famous sword-swinger into a new TV show. Arnold Schwarzenegger brought the character to life in the 1982 movie Conan the Barbarian and the 1984 sequel Conan the Destroyer, and apart from a video game or two we've not seen or heard of the character since. Let's hope it's a hit!
Hot on the heels of shows like Gotham which focuses on Bruce Wayne's evolution into Batman and the as yet to be released sci-fi channel show 'Krypton' which will show the life of Superman's home planet before its cataclysmic disaster we now have news that DC Comics' new streaming service will be producing a Metropolis TV show... Metropolis will follow Lois Lane and Lex Luthor as they investigate the world of fringe science and expose the city’s dark and bizarre secrets. Airing exclusively on DC’s upcoming digital service, it promises to show us a wondrous and awe-inspiring City of Tomorrow, before the emergence of Superman, and establish much of the Man of Steel’s world leading up to his arrival. I don't feel this is going to anything but a huge failiure, but I could be wrong!
Everyone's favourite Japanese Samurai rabbit has been optioned as a new animated TV show by Gaumont (a French mini-major film studio, the oldest in the world) and James 'Aquaman Director' Wan. Usagi hasn't had his own TV series yet although he did appear in 3 different Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon shows starting from 1987, so he's well know to many if not just because of his 30 year old comic series from Stan Sakai. I'm personally hoping that with the inclusion of James Wan we get a show not unlike Samurai Jack, or even Afro Samurai, both amazing animated shows in their ow right.
Once Upon a Time‘s “happily ever after” is coming sooner than expected; the ABC drama’s current seventh season will be its last. The charming show which featured a huge array of characters from Disney's back catalogue and focused on the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, her son, and the Evil Queen as the main characters lost it's main character Emma Swan played by actress Jennifer Morrison, among a few others, last season and it was clear that the seventh would struggle to maintain a lucid flow or the viewership and fan-base once that happened.
“Seven years ago, we set out to create a show about hope, where even in the darkest of times, a happy ending would always be possible,” Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis, the creators and executive producers of Once Upon a Time, said in a statement Tuesday. “But we never imagined the happy ending that was actually in store for all of us — years and years of adventure, romance, magic and hope. We’re so grateful to our brilliant collaborators — the cast, crew, and writers — as well as our partners at the studio and network for making this journey possible. But most of all, we want to thank the fans. Their fierce loyalty and devotion was the real magic behind Once Upon a Time. We hope they join us for these last few hours as we journey to the Enchanted Forest for one more adventure.”
News coming out of Hollywood this week (mainly from Variety) states that Joaquin Phoenix may be in talks to play The Joker in a standalone movie from The Hangover director Todd Phillips. There's not much info apart from that and that the movie will be an as yet untitled DC franchise.
New Star Wars Movies Coming From Game Of Thrones Creators
Lucasfilm announced this week that David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are working on an all-new saga. Crush Of The Week No More, Here's The Last Entry
Back in 2012 Amazon Princess (one of our old content creators) and I used to post up a crush of the week, ever week, alternating between hers and mine. My mind will always be stuck as a teen and I'll probably never grow up, so those crushes always seem to get added to as new shows or films come out. I won't be posting them up again in the future but as there's been a 6 year gap I thought I'd put up a final tribute to those more recent women that I always love seeing on screen. Having just looked over this there seems to be a lot of girl-power going on! :)

New 'Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Cartoon Makes Some Big Changes
I'm a MASSIVE Turtles fan, ever since the original cartoon aired back in 1987 and the live action movie came out in 1990. I own collectables, toys, the DVD's... Even my phone ringtone is the original cartoon's theme tune, so it's cool to hear that the legacy continues with new comics or cartoons.
Yesterday the first artwork and information was released by Nickelodeon for the brand new cartoon series titled 'Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'. Not only do we now have an African-American April O'Neil (who seems to wield a glowy-green baseball bat), but each Turtle is now a different species (no longer brothers?) with Raphael now using tonfa sticks instead of sai's, Leo with an Odachi sword instead of twin katana's and Mikey using a kusari-fundo instead of his nunchucks. Donny still has a bo staff, but it's a "tech" one now! Even Master Splinter looks strange, more like Egg Shen from Big Trouble in Little China than the skinny long-nosed rat we've been used to. We'll see if change is good.
April O'Neil
The first African-American April O'Neil — a savvy New Yorker and first human ally of the turtles — is played by Kat Graham!
Donatello
Soft-shell turtle and tech hero Donatello (Josh Brener) rocks a tech-bo staff and impressive coding skills.
Leonardo
Leonardo (Ben Schwartz) is a red-eared slider who boasts “irreverent charm and a rebel heart.” Weapon of choice: odachi sword.
Michelangelo
Box turtle/skateboarder/artist Michelangelo (Brandon Mychal Smith) is the youngest brother — and dangerous with a kusari-fundo.
Raphael
Raphael (Omar Miller) is now the leader and oldest brother, a snapping turtle who brandishes twin tonfas as his weapons.
Splinter
Splinter (Eric Bauza) is part father figure, all sensei to the turtles!
The cowabunga voice cast of @nickelodeon‘s all-new series, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! (left to right): Kat Graham (April O’Neil), Josh Brener (Donatello), Omar Miller (Raphael), Brandon Mychal Smith (Michelangelo) and Ben Schwartz (Leonardo).

The Librarians Season 4 'And the Trial of the One' Review *SPOILER ALERT*
The penultimate episode of season 4 is here, 'And the Trial of the One' pits the Librarians against each other. But, it appears the Library is frustrated that Baird hasn't chosen a Librarian to tether with so it threatens Jenkins life.
This episode is overwhelmingly harrowing and one of the most emotionally charged episodes of the whole four seasons. The Librarian's memories are twisted so they don't remember each other and their fears cause them to become the most vulnerable versions of themselves.
More so, the believability of the Library having the Librarians kill each other is reinforced by the Librarian's doubts and mistrust which have been seeded through this season. It's hard to believe because of how cruel the trial is but there could be a slither of truth there because Baird hasn't tethered with a Librarian.
As the Librarians face their worst fears (check out goth Cassandra) and Baird faces hers, which is having to watch the Librarians face theirs, the morality of the Library deepens and becomes much more complex. Is this really how the Library would act? If the Library truly wanted only one Librarian, why has it allowed Cassandra, Jacob and Ezekiel to continue as Librarians?

More importantly, the loyalty of the three Librarians is really compelling especially since their friendship is so vital to the protection of the Library. Eve's proves herself to be one of the best guardians by working out how to save Jenkins and the Librarians; using the first book of the Library and placing it on the harness 'Jenkins' is wearing so they are transported back into the Library so the harness, the artifact is protected.
All appears well even though the fate of the Library is still uncertain, but the harness is brought back into the Library, attaching itself to Jenkins and killing him! It's not a alternative dimension, not a fake reality, this actually happens and we lose Jenkins. It's a heartbreaking scene to see the Librarians faith and love for the Library shattered. To see the Librarians completely broken is so emotional and so hard to accept. But, it's amazing for the series to go to such an emotional place.

The performances from the cast is absolutely brilliant and incredibly moving. The lose of Jenkins feels so raw and true. And there's even more surprises in store when Nicole shows up again. She was behind Jenkins death, the resignation of the Librarians and all of the events leading up to this point.
It's a huge revelation and somewhat hard to believe Nicole has planned all of this because she wants to get revenge on Flynn for not coming back for her. Even though this may be hard to believe, it makes Nicole's ideology even more sinister and twisted. Clearly, her loyalties and immortality has changed her entirely since she first met Flynn.

To conclude, 'And the Trial of the One' pushes the series into some amazing and harrowing places. The friendship between the Librarians is tested to the extremes which is entirely gripping and fascinating to watch.
The consequences of not tethering to the Library are starting to unravel and Eve appears to be the only one who can remember the Library. Back in season 3, the Oracle of Delphi saw into Eve's future and predicted she would change the fate of the Library forever. Could we be about to find out exactly what she meant?
