NOAH - Two New Trailers

Even if you're not religious you probably know the story of Noah and his Ark, you may have even seen Evan Almighty and therefore have an idea of what's behind the Biblical story, but either way below are two new trailers for Darren Aronofsky's new movie based on it called "NOAH". Looks pretty epic, but not really my cup of tea at this point!

Muppets Most Wanted - New Poster

Starting off with something simple - the new poster for the Muppets sequel "Muppets Most Wanted.

Disney, Marvel and Netlix join forces for multi-series Defenders TV shows - Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones!

As the subtitle suggests a massive deal is being made which will see Netflix spearhead a new multi-series deal to make shows based on multiple Marvel characters which may end up with a single show or movie. The individual characters chosen at this time are Daredevil (the most well-known of the bunch), Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones. Each series will be a 13 episode arc focused on bringing each of these characters to life fighting street level villains following the basic template and feel of the current Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D TV show. Excellent news for comic fans!

Ben Kingsley involved in secret Marvel project?

Recently Ben Kingsley let slip that he was involved in a follow up to his part in Iron Man 3 and according to sources that "secret" project seems to be another Marvel one-shot (the ones you usually find on the Marvel Blu-rays) involving Kingsley's character Trevor Slattery and the REAL MANDARIN! Supposedly, if the sources are correct, the real Mandarin will be hunting Trevor down for some revenge regarding Trevor pretending to be him... No other news on this but as soon as the info is released I'll be posting it up in here!

Mission: Impossible 5 set for 2015?

I have to admit to loving the Mission: Impossible movie franchise, especially the last couple, so it's great to hear that the 5th instalment has been set for a December 2015 release. The movie is being written by Iron Man 3 scribe Drew Pearce and will once again be produced by J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot company and Paramount and will feature Tom Cruise in his iconic lead role of Ethan Hunt. 

Is this the first image of a Dinobot from Transformers: Age of Extinction?

It may just be toy advertising art on the floor of a recent trade show, but this could be our first look at a Dinobot with Optimus Prime riding it! And is this supposed to be Grimlock?

Hourman joining the CW's list of superhero TV shows?

Having already had Smallville and Arrow on their network the CW is now looking to feature a classic Golden Age hero "Hourman" on their list too.

Hourman centers on a brilliant-yet-troubled pharmaceutical analyst who discovers that the visions that have plagued him since childhood are actually glimpses of tragic events occurring one hour in the future. Determined to win back his ex-wife and son, he heroically prevents these tragedies from unfolding, finding both purpose and redemption along the way.

New Star Wars Episode VII behind the scenes pics features R2-D2!

A newly Tweeted pic from J.J. Abrams from the workshop behind the scenes of the upcoming seventh Star Wars movie shows R2-D2, so hopefully tradition will be followed and R2 and C3-PO may be central to the new films! Here's hoping!

Kevin Smith Has Seen Ben Affleck As Batman For Batman Vs Superman!

Last Saturday, Kevin Smith hosted a live Man of Steel Q&A featuring Zack Snyder, Amy Adams, and Henry Cavill. Later that day Smith went over to The Improv in Brea, CA to record his podcast, Hollywood Babble-On. On the show, he revealed that after the Man of Steel Q&A ended, director Zack Snyder pulled him aside. He took out his iPhone and showed Smith a picture of Ben Affleck in the new Batman vs. Superman Batsuit! Naturally, Smith freaked out:

"You have not seen this costume in a movie on film before. And for a comic book fan, it was mind-bending. Only [Zack Snyder] has enough power to pull this off".

Smith also confirmed an important piece of info… there are no nipples on Ben Affleck’s Batsuit! He even said who (or what) influenced the new design, but unfortunately they bleeped it on the podcast!

Update: a fan who was at the live recording says that it was “Jim Lee” that got bleeped on the podcast.

Maleficent - Trailer

Angelina Jolie stars as one of Disney's most famous female villains from the 1959 classic "Sleeping Beauty". I know many who aren't happy about this new movie version and many who are, I'll reserve my judgement until I actually see it!

A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land's fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal—an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king's successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom—and perhaps to Maleficent's true happiness as well.

The film stars Angelina Jolie as Maleficent, Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville.

Doctor Who: The Day Of The Doctor Anniversary Trailers!!!

2 brand new trailers here for the upcoming 50th anniversary episode (showing on BBC1 this month) of Doctor Who titled 'The Day of The Doctor'!

Featuring David Tennant, Matt Smith, John Hurt, Billie Piper, Jenna Louise Coleman and many more this could very well be the best episode ever made...

Robocop - New Trailer And Poster

No matter how many people moan that the original is amazing and Robocop shouldn't have been remade I'm still going to say that this new version looks pretty cool. Yes I also love the original, yes this will obviously be totally different, but that doesn't mean you have to kick it to one side and not enjoy the hell out of it for its own merits! Here's the brand new trailer (introduced by director Jose Padilha) and poster.

Justice League: War - New DC Animated Movie Trailer

I say it every time there's a new DC animated movie - These films are amazing and out do anything Marvel has ever attempted when it comes to animation. I honestly can't wait for this!

Alan Tudyk, Jason O'Mara, Justin Kirk, Michelle Monaghan, and Sean Astin all lend their voices to this DC Universe Animated Original Movie based on Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's Justice League Vol. 1: Origin.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past - First Trailer

Another major highlight of the past month or so was this brand new trailer for the new X-Men movie 'Days of Future Past'. I have to admit that out of all the trailers released recently this one almost brought a geeky tear to my eye as I've been an X-Men comic fan since I was young and this does look pretty awesome... The latest trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is 3 mins long and packed with unseen footage to give you your geeky goosebump fix. I admit I wasn't a huge fan of The Hobbit, much more of a LOTR junkie, but I still can't wait to see this. :)

Kryptonian Warrior Is Back!

I'm writing this post ahead of the rest I'm about to do because of the massive gap between October the 2nd (the last post I put up) and today (November 15th!).

Unfortunately a serious of unfortunate events starting with a tree taking down my phoneline/internet for over two weeks and then a continuously blue-screening computer losing my work, followed by some health issues, meant that I simply didn't have the ability to post what I wanted and I was only posting up the odd pic here and there on our Facebook page...

Anyway, long story short: we're back in business and after Mistress of Magic posted today I thought I'd get to it and try to catch up on some of the news we've missed on here over the past month and a bit. Hope you enjoy as always. :)

The Night of the Doctor mini episode JUST RELEASED!

I've literally only just watched this myself and it's just been released! It's a brilliant little mini episode to get us ready for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary and without giving too much away...well. Just check it out for yourselves!
