Black Canary Returns To Smallville!

If you're a huge Alaina Huffman fan like me and Dark Knight you'll be pleased to know that not only is the blonde uber-hottie appearing at this May's London MCM Expo (YAY!) and she's back on US t.v. in Stargate Universe (double YAY!) but she'll also be reprising her role as Black Canary in the season finale of Smallville (triple YAY!).

"Salvation" will air on May 14th and her appearance is rumoured to be that of a reunion for the rest of the young Justice League, leading into season 10.

Can't wait to meet her and get her autograph next month!!! ;) Here are some pics of the lovely Miss Huffman below.

New Wolverine X-Men Motorcycle Suit!

Doing its rounds on the Internet this week is the news that UD Replicas have created every Wolverine fans dream outfit, in the form of the X2: X-Men United Wolverine Motorcycle suit!

Motorcycle-riding comics fans, and cosplayers, take note: UD Replicas has unveiled its official X2 Wolverine Motorcycle Suit.

The leather suit which is a spot-on replica of the one worn by Hugh Jackman in the second movie and includes the jacket, gloves and pants. According to the manufacturer, the suit incorporates removable CE-approved body armor, gloves with anti-skid Kevlar in the lining of the palms, and "an interior, form-molded muscle suit sandwiched into the jacket’s torso section."

The entire ensemble will cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,000 (the price hasn't been finalized yet). UD Replicas will take orders through its website beginning later this month, so start saving your pennies if you're thinking of getting this!

If you're more of an Iron Man fan (well Iron Man 2 to be precise) you're in luck: UD is also developing a leather replica of Tony Stark’s Mark V Suitcase Suit from Iron Man 2! Coooooool!

Star Wars Clone Wars Season 2 Finale - Boba Fett Strikes Back!

My daughter and I are huge fans of the CG series Clone Wars and as I mentioned recently Boba Fett has come back (albeit in his young form still) with a vengeance... Literally.

Below is the exclusive trailer for the finale showing that Mace Windu's actions on Geonosis (namely beheading Boba's father Jango Fett) will come back to bite him in the ass...

And then there's a small vid of a scene with a Godzilla sized "Zillo beast" that Mace and some Troopers have to battle in another episode.

Enjoy!

Toy Story 3 - New Character Pics

Another 2 new Toy Story 3 characters were revealed this week and this time we have Big Baby and Bookworm. I've also added the full poster below which showcases all the characters I've been posting up over the last few weeks.

National Treasure 3 Finally Finds Its Writers...

My missus and I are huge National Treasure fans and when news broke almost 2 years ago that a third installment in the series was coming we were genuinely excited.

At the WonderCon event last week the writers for the upcoming Prince of Persia movie confirmed that are set to scribe the National Treasure threequel, which is the first bit of news we've heard about the project, considering no casting news, plot news, or title have been mentioned.

When new news is released I'll most certainly be posting it here, but until then we'll just have to wait and see if this movie now gets fast tracked or held in Hollywood limbo until further notice!

New Freddy Krueger Revealed In NECA Toy Pics...

We've seen the trailers, we've seen the grainy Photoshop enhanced image I posted up the other day and now we can see action figure giant NECA's action figure prototypes for Freddy Krueger before and after his transformation into the supernatural glove-wielding killer from Friday the 13th.

I won't be watching this movie, but for all you fans out there this will either get you all hyped up, or get you very angry. I don't think Robert Englund can be matched by Jackie Earle Hayley... But who am I to judge?!

RICK GRIMES LIVES - THE WALKING DEAD FINDS ITS STAR

Hot on the heels of Jon Bernthal being cast as Shane in the AMC WALKING DEAD TV series, They have just announced that Andrew Lincoln is to take the role of Rick GRIMES, our hero/leader of their little band of survivors of the zombie apocalypse.

Andrew Lincoln is a legend (TEACHERS was an awesome series, and still stands the test of time now, and Lincoln was a pleasure to watch....watch it!!!) and although he isn't well known over in the big ol' US, all us Brits will shout with joy to see Lincoln smash his way into the American market.....between Brits and aussies you'll struggle to find a show soon without an imported talent in it!!

This is so going to rock........I wait with baited breath for the next announcement....plenty of characters to cast yet.

UK Newspaper Front Page - New Dr. Who Is "Too Sexy"!!!

Bloody hell...

When I posted up my review for the first episode of Matt Smith's Dr. Who series this Saturday little did I know that the joke I made about enraged parents phoning the BBC to complain it was too sexy (or Amy to be precise) would actually come true...

But low and behold as I popped into my local BP petrol station this morning I see on the front (yes this seems to be front page news) of the Daily Telegraph Karen Gillan's face and something about her and the new show being "too sexy".

I got home and looked it up online and yep, I wasn't mistaken, the hordes of angry virgins, religious prudes, misguided parents and ugly people with attitudes have done it again... They've complained about something that needn't even be an issue when there are so many other things in the world to focus on.

Sorry if that seems harsh... No hold on a minute, I'm not sorry at all. Anyone who complained about "The Eleventh Hour" or anything minutely sexual contained therein need to get out more and take a look at the world around them and how certain things work. I pointed out the fact that this would be brought up sooner or later but I saw it as a positive, as I'm sure the show runners did when filming it.

Amy Pond said she was a "kissogram", she didn't say she was a stripper, exotic dancer or prostitute (not that I should be dissing any single profession). She didn't actually do anything naughty apart from wearing a mini skirt and tights (which again isn't actually naughty or racy), her nurse and nun outfit were referenced briefly in a humorous way and we didn't see much of Matt Smith's body when he was changing. Plus - Amy not wanting to look away when he was changing was justified in my eyes. The Doctor had been an obsessive part of her mind since she was a child, you saw that at the end with all the stuff she'd drawn and made, from what her friends had said and by the story you'd been watching. If you were Amy would you have looked away from your "imagination-incarnate" standing in front of you when you'd had four years of counselling to tell you he wasn't real? There's no way she wouldn't have formed some sort of fantasy-crush on him too. Didn't Rose, and Martha for that matter, both fall in love with the Doctor? Didn't Rose end up getting her very own Doctor to keep in an alternate dimension too?

Here are my other strongly felt points:

1) Dr. Who is a "family" show, not a kids show. It's meant to cater for everyone in your household from little 6 year old Jimmy, through 16 year old Jenna and 40 year old Bob, right up to 70 year old Mavis... That means cool tech and aliens for the young ones, adult humour and pop culture references seasoned with some light sexual tension for the mid range, followed by historical time frames and places and a weird but somewhat dashing toy-boy (or girl) for the old fogies.

2) Sex sells... Everything. If you haven't grasped this concept by now you need to rip of those debilitating blinkers you've got strapped to your noggin and realise that the reason a scantily clad 20 something female is holding a phone on the front of a tech mag, straddling a Harley Davidson on a bike mag, sweating whilst lifting weights on a health mag or the most popular hero(ine) ever from a computer game is because sex sells... The world doesn't have to be perverted or sexist to morally and successfully use a woman to sell a product or boost an advertisement (or in this case garner more interest from a predominantly male audience for a t.v. show). Did people do this kind of complaining (and have any impact) when Star Trek Voyager introduced possibly the most sexually interesting character ever in Seven of Nine for instance? Maybe. But then she boosted ratings like never before and it wasn't seen as a negative, even with the skimpy silver jumpsuit... Hell even Enterprise has a naked T'Pol in one episode! And those are only two minor examples from one sci-fi franchise, I could go on forever on the subject.

3) Are we now saying that any previous Dr. Who companions weren't sexy? Or just not sexy enough to cause a fuss? Billy Piper? Freema Agyeman? Catherine Tate? Or is it just because Karen wore the Police Woman outfit and her job was a kissogram? Grrrrrrrr... Remember that the Doctor is now in his youngest transformation yet, and possibly his strongest and nuttiest. What better companion to have that a young, strong willed, sexually charged (yet totally innocent) red headed beauty like Amy Pond? Rose, Martha and Donna wouldn't have fitted with Matt Smith. They would have been too experienced and dominant, more than Amy I mean. Amy is the right mix, so far, of what this wild and wacky young Doctor needs. This is a next generation jump changing all the rules, for the better. And with all due respect to Karen, she wasn't mind blowing sexy-dirty, she was just cute and somewhat hot. C'mon was she (and the Doctor changing his shirt scene) really that bad to complain about? Geez...

I'm sure this post will be located by Internet travellers and I'll get negative feedback somewhere along the line but let me point out a couple of things. I'm a father of two young girls, one of which watched the episode with me and had no problem whatsoever in its content. I have no problem with what she witnessed on Saturday as she totally loved it and she wasn't that keen on Tennant's reign anyway. Even if she had known what a kissogram was she wouldn't have given a crap. I've been a Dr. Who fan since I was very young and I'm now 32 years old. Do I have a problem with them adding beautiful women and a bit of sexual interest to a sci-fi program I love (and now watch with my daughter)? Hell no, in fact if it was all males I wouldn't enjoy it half as much. I'm not a pervert and I don't have to be to put this point of view across, but I do love women, especially sci-fi and fantasy t.v. ladies (hence the sister blog we have) so I'm a little biased towards this argument.

I suggest you read the Daily Telegraph story HERE to see what was said about Saturday's episode and what some people complained about. Then, once you've read it, scoff and the silliness, understand a little more about the world (if you needed to), acknowledge the fact that the whole first season has already been filmed, there's nothing anyone can do about it, they'll probably never mention Amy's job (or that outfit) ever again and then look forward to the rest of the season with wide eyes and open arms.

Bravo season 5, I'm with you all the way! ;P

Rant over, taking a breath and going off to relax now...

Official Trailer For Resident Evil: Afterlife

Yes it's here Resi fans, the first new trailer for Resident Evil: Afterlife 3-D.

It looks like someone's been watching the Matrix trilogy lately and decided to rip off a few scenes (you'll see what I mean), or even Ultraviolet (certain scenes look like an Ultraviolet sequel!), plus I kinda hate 3-D movies where they purposefully throw things towards the screen as if to say "look at this 3-D, isn't it amazing? Watch the ninja shurikens as they fly towards your head..." etc.

But hey, everyone seems partial to a bit of Resident Evil in its movie incarnations and you've got to admit that Milla Jovovich has never looked this good... Simply WOW. Plus there's not just one of her now, it's multiple Alice's... Now there's a dream I'll store up for later! ;P

Oh and Ali Larter's in this trailer doing superhero type stuff too... Not sure if she should be doing that considering she's only human (or is she?). I'll be watching this either way.

Enjoy!

Dr. Who 2010 With Matt Smith "The Eleventh Hour" - Was It Any Good?

Actually yes it bloody was!

I held back my excitement (apart from shouting "woo hoo" in my daughters face as it started) and I had my initial trepidations about Matt Smith which made me worry that I'd dislike this new series, but I was worried for no reason... It actually rocked.

OK so Matt Smith is no David Tennant, the same way that David was no Christopher Eccleston the first time we saw him, but within a matter of minutes Mr. Smith had made the role his own and was away like a Whippet on speed at the races...

The story wasn't brilliant (my 6 year old daughter certainly couldn't follow it) and the aliens were a little weird, even for Dr. Who, but Matt is a strong character on screen and his new companion Amy Pond (the beautiful red headed Scot Karen Gillan) seems just as strong. OK so she's actually a kissogram and not a Police Woman like everone originally thought (I'm sure Mums and Dads are on the phone to the BBC right now complaining about that choice) but that gives her character, she's feisty, she's a little naughty but at the same time innocent and full of child-like glee.

The opening credits and the new theme tune were a bit of a shock to the system and I can't say I was impressed (seeing as the last theme tune gave my goosebumps every single time it came on) but just seeing that multitude of clips for the upcoming season after the first episode finished was enough to get me hyped for the rest of the new year. Plus the fact that Matt's been given a new theme tune, insignia, Tardis and sonic screwdriver means that they really are starting from square one again here and trying to move away from Russell T. Davies and David Tennant because of the huge hold they had on the Dr. Who-loving world.

We might have all been mourning David ever since we knew he was leaving, but I found myself asking "David Who?" by the end of this episode, such was the crazy, meaty, impact Matt Smith had. And even though my daughter had to keep asking me questions about what was going on (gotta love Sky +) she said she really enjoyed it and wants to watch it every week with me, which is great!

So all in all I think this new series will be a success and Matt is, so far, a worthy successor to the role, with Karen being a worthy addition to the Doctor's companion stable. I think that vision of her running around in a Police Woman's garb with the stockings etc will be on my mind for a fair while... I have a thing for red heads y'see. ;)

Ben 10 Evolutions Now Becomes Ultimate Alien?

Having just watched the two part season finale of Ben 10 Alien Force (which were absolutely wicked I might add) I jumped online to check out what was happening with the new Evolutions series only to discover that it's had its name changed to "Ben 10: Ultimate Alien"!

SPOILERS!

Now I'd understand if it was going to be called "Ultimate Aliens" (plural) and I actually think that the original "Evolutions" name suits the next series better, considering Ben's new "Ultimatrix" and its ability to "evolve" each alien into its most advanced stage of evolution (although why the hell a Humungosaur would evolve into having morphing hand cannons I'll never know) but nonetheless the new series looks frickin wicked no matter what the title is.

Ultimate Alien is due to air on April the 23rd 2010 and will be set 1 year after the Alien Force finale. If you didn't know Ben's Omnitrix was destroyed defeating Vilgax (again) so he took Albedo's (his evil twin's) new Ultimatrix, which Albedo stole from Azmuth, which has the advanced power to evolve any stored alien DNA into its highest state of evolution, it's "Ultimate Alien" phase. So basically Ben can use any Alien form but can also twist the Ultimatrix pod on his chest which upgrades his Alien to a new and better form within the same species (Bandai are laughing and rubbing their hands together once again with the plethora of new aliens to turn into toys and a new Ultimatrix wrist device!).

Gwen is now mastering both her plasma powers and her magic powers, the Plumber-alien kids Max Tennyson trains are now attending Plumber academy and Kevin's mutation (caused by the Omnitrix overload which permanently changed his body) has gone and his original power to absorb the traits of any material he touches in back. It's all change for Ben 10 once again!

The new aliens/ ultimate aliens are :

Terraspin
Water Hazard
Ampfibian
Nanomech (yes the one from the live action Alien Swarm movie!)
Ultimate Swampfire
Ultimate Humongousaur
Ultimate Big Chill
Ultimate Spidermonkey
Ultimate Cannonbolt
Ultimate Echo Echo
Armodrillo
NRG

You can view the teaser trailer below and if you want to see pics of all the new alien forms listed above, Kevin's new car and Jet (yes I said Jet) and get the rundown on everything that's happening in Ultimate Alien you can visit the Ben 10 Wiki site HERE.

Brightest Day Resurrects Fallen DC Heroes? And A Possible JLA Movie Coming... Again?

HUGE COMIC SPOILERS AHEAD!

Sorry if it's a bit of a spoiler for you comic readers out there but I just had to mention the awesome, or terrible (depending on how you look at it), moment in the final Blackest Night Green Lantern DC comic I read yesterday where the new White Lantern entity suddenly resurrects a whole bunch of dead Black Lantern bearers, back to their original living human form...

That means that the likes of Aqua Man, Martian Manhunter, Hawk Man & Hawk Girl, Jade and even Dead Man, to name but a few, are now all back alive and kicking... Strange but true. It was bound to happen of course but it was still a shock for me and now that the Brightest Day storyline takes over from Blackest Night I can't wait to see what happens next.

That full spread with all the characters coming back to life and the White Lantern "LIVE" speech box gave me geeky goosebumps!

Click the pic for a bigger version!

Recent news from WonderCon in San Francisco seem to indicate that the Flash movie and a JLA movie may be announced at the San Diego Comic Con this year in July. Geoff Johns (Chief Creative Officer at DC comics) hinted that big news about both ventures would be released at the Con and that fans won't be dissapointed. Finally DC are taking notes from Marvel!

Splice - New Sci-fi Creature Feature Movie Trailer

Maybe a little too weird and scary for me but the new movie "Splice" certainly looks interesting.

Let it now be known that splicing human and animal DNA together is not a good idea...

The New Face Of Freddy Krueger Revealed...

There's been a lot of noise about the new Nightmare on Elmstreet remake and mostly about making Freddy a more sympathetic character, making Jackie Earle Hayley less scary that Robert Englund and making his face look weird, like an alien...

Well here, finally for you to feast your horror-loving eyes on, is the first pic of Freddy's face without the shadows from the trailer.

I hate horror movies so I have no comment on this at all... What do you think?

Cool Yet Totally Freaky CGI Video Review Of Avatar By A Weird Dog Thingy...

WTF...

Whilst this is incredibly well done I swear it freaked the living s**t out me when I first watched it.

The videos below are made by a guy called GregMutt who used Lightwave and Softimage to animate a purple dog-like creature for a genuinely funny mini review of Avatar, and then a follow up vid talking about his Youtube popularity.

Seriously, you have to watch these. Awesome skills.

New Tomb Raider Game Is Now - "Lara Croft And The Guardian Of Light"!

Losing the "Tomb Raider" franchise name for the first time in history and going for the more Indiana Jones-like "Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light" the new game doesn't have a lot of info surrounding it but has been on the books for a while now.

If you want to follow what's happening with the game you can go to the official website HERE where you can also follow the creators on Facebook and Twitter.

Oh and just so this post isn't as boring as just telling you the name of the new game I've added three pics below of some of the lovely ladies who have portrayed Lara in the past, for things like modelling shoots and marketing etc... All dressed in PVC... Enjoy!

Awesome Video Of Rube Goldberg Machine...

"What's a Rube Goldman Machine" I hear you ask!

Watch the video and you'll understand, it's quite possibly one of the most amazing things I've seen in a long while. Domino rally enthusiasts and Mouse Trap players look out, your Gods have arrived!

Futurama Season 6 Teaser Trailer...

Good news everyone!

The new Comedy Central Futurama teaser trailer is now up and can be viewed below. My daughter and I are Futurama obsessives so we can't wait to see this new series!

Iron Man 2 Official Site - Now With Awesome Pics & Wallpapers

If you're looking forward to Iron Man 2 you can do nothing better than to visit the new and recently updated official Iron Man 2 movie site HERE.

Sebastian Stan Cast As Bucky In Captain America: The First Avenger

The hardest part of making a Captain America movie was picking the actor to play Steve Rogers, but now all the rest of the pieces are falling into place. Deadline is reporting that Sebastian Stan is about to be fill the role of Bucky, the sidekick who fights side by side with the shield-throwing superhero.

Marvel Studio's have confirmed Stan will be in the film in a deal that has multiple options, but there is no confirmation on whether this version of Bucky is destined to turn into Winter Soldier or even the new Captain America, as is the case in the Marvel Comics version. Winter Soldier would be cool for the Avengers movie at least!

The female lead role of Peggy is very close to being cast as well with Keira Knightley, Alice Eve and Emily Blunt recently testing for the role. The most recent news however was that Blunt had walked away from the lineup of her own accord, no news on why just yet.

Smallville Silver Banshee Episode

Ok I just finished watching Smallville, and I gotta say personally I was pretty disappointed in it. The whole romantic getaway thing was cool in the beginning, until the foolishness took over with Silver Banshee possessing Chloe and Lois. Clark got in a very very brief scuffle with Banshee and got knocked on his a$$. It ended up that Chloe and the keeper of the Inn saved the day, by throwing the painting of Banshee's former self in the fire therefore sealing the portal she was released from. Maybe its just me and maybe I am just being too critical and I know the episodes may be just an hour long, but surely they could have done better than this. So tell me what do you guys think?

Clash Of The Titans 2010 - Mini Review

The Louis Letterier directed 2010 remake of Clash of the Titans has been one of my most anticipated movies of 2010. Did it live up to my expectations and the massive hype created by the pics and the trailer?

Sadly no... it didn't.

I went to the 12:30pm 3-D showing today with Dark Knight and his mate and just before we headed off for the cinema DK told me he'd read bad reviews... I of course said "ahh, I'm gonna love it anyway" thinking that because I loved the original and love everything to do with the Greek Gods and the movies they're in that I'd automatically love this new Clash remake. I was kinda wrong there.

Clash is by no means a terrible film. It has a few stand out moments, namely Medusa and the Kraken (even though the special effects are nothing outstanding, they're clearly CGI and not mind blowing in their execution) but there are a plethora of negative points which I'll now list.

WARNING: SPOILERS!

- Pete Postlethwaite seems to have found himself a new typecast role in movies... A loving father who dies. Both in Solomon Kane and now in Clash he has a small part which is cut short by the bad guy offing him. Damn shame as I think he deserves more and is an excellent actor.

- Sam Worthington hasn't earned his 'lead actor' chops yet as far as I'm concerned. Terminator Salvation, Avatar and now Clash and he's still too wooden to praise. He's not crap, he just seems to be the same person (albeit with a different accent, Australian coming forward this time) in each film with no differential between his various emotions.

- Every single character in this movie was underused and almost ancillary to the plot. We felt nothing for the plight of Princess Andromeda, no hatred for King Acrisius/ Calibos, no awe for Zeus or Hades (who were both pretty bland here considering it's Liam Neeson and Ralph "Voldermort" Fiennes) etc etc. Even the Jin sorcerer Sheikh Sulieman was throw away to the entire plot of the film and his death was just plain stupid. He did nothing to expand the story and his tagging along wasn't used in any way. He, along with the other four Argos soldiers who followed Perseus into Medusa's cave near the end all died quick and needless deaths and you almost had to laugh when Perseus emerges from the cave alone... WTF? Would it have hurt at all for some to survive, or all to survive, considering the massive artistic interpretation we were watching anyway? To this point I also have to add that Zeus bringing back Io for his son at the end, after she'd been killed by Calibos, had no meaning or impact, because she and Perseus never cultivated anything like a romantic relationship in the entire movie. Zeus would have done better bringing his foster father, mother and sister back from the dead. It would have made more sense seeing as Perseus originally wanted to embark on his vengeful journey in the first place to avenge his family. The rescue of the Princess technically meant nothing to him, he wasn't even from Argos and doesn't end up with her!!!

- It was either the flow of the film or the editing but something felt wrong about Clash. It felt like the story went nowhere, or that it had no real direction in the first place. It was hollow and without heart and although the adverts made it look like a real rip-roaring blockbuster with loads of action and cool monsters it was a true case of "the trailer looked better than the movie". Shame. You might not agree, but that's the way it felt. The 3-D really didn't hep either, I kept pushing the glasses down to see what was happening as the new specs actually darken the screen considerably and as this was a pretty dark film in parts, and there was a lot of close up fighting, it all became a bit of a blur, which is one of my major bug bears in movies.

- Pegasus being black instead of white. No racist comments here, it's just plain silly to change the iconic white winged horse from white to black just for the purpose of making this new 2010 version different to the original. And again I'll add here that the scene with Bubo the mechanical owl made me very angry. If you're going to include a cameo from one of the original movies best known characters you don't do it by picking the damn thing out of a weapons chest, having Perseus ask what it is and then have someone say something to the effect of "don't worry about it, put it back" and then that's it... Does Leterrier not remember how big a part Bubo had in the original? Was it so hard to give a mechanical flying owl more screen time in a movie with so many special effects and various mythological creatures already added? Wasn't Bubo a gift from the Gods too? Should we expect more from the man who brought us the newest Incredible Hulk movie and Transporter 2? Guess not.

- Perseus stating for the entire movie that he would win this battle as a man and would accept no help from the Gods, in any way and form, even when he was about to die, and yet he still picks up the God-given sword to defeat Calibos and accepts the help of Pegasus knowing full well he's been pushed towards him by Zeus... And he doesn't exactly complain when Io is brought back at the end either. Two faced doesn't quite do it justice. You can't completely deny and vilify the help of the Gods, only to use it when you need it to complete a task. It ruins his characters entire integrity in the film.

I give up...

There are more points I could bitch about but I feel like I'm being too negative. I enjoyed the film enough that I'll buy the DVD, or maybe Blu-ray at a push, and watch it in 2-D in the comfort of my room at home. But overall it kinda killed my hopes, and maybe that's where I went wrong. I expected too much. If you've never seen the original or don't know the basic story then you may come out of this enjoying it more than I did. But isn't the primary point of a remake to get the old fans back in the cinema to enjoy the new version as well as introducing it to the next generation?

Aaaaaanyway... I did think the Pegasus horses looked well done, Gemma Arterton was beautiful and maybe one of the best elements of the film (her, not her looks), I liked Mads Mikkelsen as Draco (even though he and the others were offed way to easily) and I liked the Mount Olympus throne room with it's cool flooring. All in all though this film needed more and I left not wanting to say out loud that I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have, only to hear everyone around me saying exactly what I was thinking!

I will say that I'm 50/50 about recommending it for cinema viewing. It cost me £10.90 to watch (as it was 3-D and you had the buy the glasses, damn myself for not bringing my last pair that I still have!) which is a lot of money to come out of disappointed by, but if you get the chance to see it on DVD then yeah, I'm sure it'll be two hours of your evening you won't want to claw back. And knowing me I'll enjoy it much more the second time round and have to come back and amend my review! I just watched the trailer below having already seen the movie and still got goosebumps... Shame the movie didn't do the same the first time round!

5/10

Bourne Gets A Sex Change In New Movie - Salt.

OK so there are only minor similarities between the Bourne movies and Angelina Jolie's new film "Salt", but still she looks like a cool, kick-ass, Bond/Bourne hybrid and it's a film I wouldn't mind seeing, if only because it stars Angelina... Thank God she replaced Tom Cruise at the last minute!

Enjoy the trailer!

A-Team Movie - 2nd Trailer!

Too frickin wicked...

Enjoy!

New Dr. Who - Inside The Tardis Pics And First Ep This Saturday!

On BBC1 at 6:20pm on Saturday the 3rd of April Dr. Who returns to British t.v.!

Matt Smith takes over the role of everyones favourite Time Lord and it's not just the actor that's changed in the new series... The Tardis has transformed too!

During his interview on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross last week Smith gave away a few small secrets as well as showing off his new Sonic Screwdriver. He stated that his new start on the show triggered somewhat of a revamp all round and the show runners decided that the internal structure of the Tardis needed decorating too. As you can see in the couple of pics below the inside is now larger, more 'orange', has a new centre console and has stairs leading up to multiple rooms which Smith said were "levels", so we may be looking at more than just these rooms (and the lower hole filled pit) in the pics. The Sonic Screwdriver has also had a makeover and now has a head that opens up like a four petal flower. The new Doctor has been training himself to wield the device properly on screen flipping, juggling and swinging it in ways not really seen by past Docs.

I have to say that although I have my doubts about him and the new series, I'm still really looking forward to it!

New Video Game Trailer - Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions

What if there were alternate Spider-Men from different dimensions?

OK so we've seen that before both in the comics and in the cartoon series, but now the newest Spider-Man video game answers that question directly by allowing you to take control of 4 different Spideys from different worlds in "Shattered Dimensions".

Shedding light on the concept of the upcoming title, Activision and Marvel said Shattered Dimensions will allow players to travel through four different worlds, taking on the role of parallel universe versions of Spider-Man from across Marvel lore, including The Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man Noir.

From Activision/Marvel:

The Amazing Spider-Man experience delivers innovative web combat and visuals in a world that pays tribute to the classic era of the legendary super hero. In contrast, Spider-Man Noir features a cunning and covert depiction of Spider-Man, who utilizes shadows to perform stealth takedowns in a 1930's-influenced, black-and-white cinematic environment.

"Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions delivers an original storyline that bridges four unique worlds," Rob Kostich, Activision's head of marketing, said in a statement. "Each action-packed universe will have its own detailed art design and thrilling missions, challenging gamers to use new skill sets to defeat enemies as they unlock powerful new moves and progress through the game."

Marvel comic book writer Dan Slott wrote the original story, which sends Spider-Man on a mission to capture a powerful artifact that has been shattered and scattered across different dimensions. Thus far, Kraven and Hammerhead are the only villains confirmed, and Quebec-based Beenox is developing.

So far we can see from the trailer, and from what's written above, that the standard and Noir (Batman: Arkham Asylum style) versions are playable but the other two are yet to be shown. From the sounds of the rumours online at least one of the dimensions will be the 2099 version as seen in the comics (one I used to read back in the day!). I believe I've owned and loved pretty much every Spidey game on every console (apart from Friend or Foe) and other than Captain America and The Thing, Spidey is my favourite Marvel character. Can't wait for this new release!

The Expendables - New Trailer

If only Van Damme had said yes to appearing in this movie, my geeky excitement would have been complete...

Here's the new full trailer for Sly Stallone's 'The Expendables'. It won't win any Oscars but damn it's one hell of a treat for action movie fans!

Megan Fox Turns Down Lara Croft Role...

Fanboys all over the world are probably considering taking their own lives now the news has hit that Megan Fox has finally confirmed she will NOT be playing every video gamers fantasy girl - Lara Croft in any future movies.

MTV states that Fox doesn't want to be compared to Angelina Jolie in any way or form and wants to pursue roles that are more "serious"...

“The offer has been on the table for Megan for a while but she’s reluctantly turned it down. She’s the logical choice to play Lara and she loves the character but the comparison with Angelina is too much. It looks like the movie will now star an unknown.”

So another Tomb Raider movie, prequel or sequel, is going ahead but Miss Fox won't be donning the short khakis and gunbelt we know and love. Our loss, and hers!

I've always had a thing for Milla JOVOVICH.....and seeing her wet and gun wielding in these new photos (alongside the sexy Ali Larter) seem to make this new chapter in the Resident Evil franchise more appealing.
