Awesome Collections Of Indiana Jones Replica Props!

Whilst researching the 3-D Indiana Jones board game I'm currently building for the kids (pics to come over the next month) I came across a site which shows some truly awesome collections of replica Indy props. There's literally every prop from every film (and some from the games) recreated in stylish perfection here, and most of them I'd love to own myself!

Visit HERE at Sarednabworldprops.com for all the fantastic pics and descriptions.

The Little Mermaid Is Growing Up... Warning NSFW.

Wasn't sure whether to post this or not as it's a little risque for our humble blog, I'm certainly no prude and girls of all sorts are always being posted about on here, but believe me when I say that I was actually shocked when I heard the words to this parody of The Little Mermaid song.

The girl who dubbed over the original voice is so spot on I didn't realise it wasn't actually her until the bad language started!

Smallville's Zatanna (Serinda Swan) Gallery...

Seeing as there's a good few of us that think Serinda Swan was a worthy addition to the Smallville cast recently I thought I'd share a huge (almost 300 pics) and very awesome gallery I discovered yesterday.

Visit Lazygirls.info HERE to see them all. Beware that most are probably not safe for work!

Cool Pics From Around The Web...

Yet another batch of pics I found whilst perusing the web and thought I'd share.

Enjoy!

Transformers: War For Cybertron - Gameplay Trailer

Possibly the best Transformers game in recent history will be released very soon, and most people are wetting their pants in anticipation for the G1 heavy influence seen in the debut trailer last month.

Now we're given a new trailer which features some actual game play footage, and it looks even more frickin awesome!

Enjoy the trailer below!

Suicide Girls Make You Want To Live!

The only reason I'm posting this is because I found a couple of photos of me at the 2007 and 2008 San Diego Comic Con with the lovely ladies of Suicidegirls.com yesterday and I remembered just how nice, and of course gorgeous, they all were.

No idea why they were at the Comic Con, apart from the fact that it's inhabited by thousands of hormonal geeks who would gladly sign up to their site if "coerced", but they were very, very, popular. And rightly so. Girls with tattoos and piercings are multiplying all over the world and are gaining a fan base all to themselves.

I seem to have developed somewhat of a small schoolboy crush on the lovely tattooed and pierced Julia Hardy who presents Bravo's GameFace on a Saturday afternoon, which is also why I'm posting this. Not only did I become a fan of her on Facebook because I love the show and her presenting of it, but also within 48 hours had a message from her thanking me for a comment I left which turned into a little chat. Awesome girl and quite possibly one of the nicest, down to Earth and intelligent people I've ever had the pleasure of briefly chatting to. And she's beautiful too. I bow down to Miss Hardy!

View some pics of some of the SG girls HERE but beware, the pics are obviously not safe for work!

Buzz Lightyear - 3-D Real Life Render...

Recently you may have seen a number of pics from "Pixeloo" who renders real-life versions of famous characters. There's been Super Mario, Homer Simpson, Jessica Rabbit and Stewie Griffin and all 4 of those have been quite cartoony even though they look freaky with their human skin etc.

Brazillian 3-D artist Raoni Nery has now created an un-tooned version of Toy Story's Buzz Lightyear based on Starcraft's Mariner models and it rocks, as you can see at the top of this post.

I love these pics and Buzz is pretty frickin awesome for a bit of fan art too. Cudos for the sterling effort!

Defendor - New Trailer

Woody Harrelson's new 'Defendor' movie trailer was released last week and here it is below.

"Bruised and beaten, arm in a sling, neck in a brace, Arthur Poppington (Woody Harrelson) sits in front of court-appointed psychologist Ellen Park (Sandra Oh). After making her swear to secrecy, Poppington begins to tell the story of his secret life as “Defendor” – yes, that’s an “OR” – spelling is not one of his super powers. By day, Poppington directs traffic around road construction sites, but at night he dons a pair of black tights, a black jersey with a crude “D” duct-taped to his chest, and trawls the streets as his alter ago. As Defendor, Poppington engages in what he believes is a super heroic fight against crime in an attempt to fulfill his unrealized dream of capturing his arch rival, Captain Industry – a gun trafficking crime lord who Poppington mistakenly believes is responsible for the death of his mother".

New Toy Story 3 Character Revealed - Ken & Peas In A Pod!

OK so if you've been keeping up with the news you'll know that Ken (as in Barbie and Ken) is a major part of the new movie. Voiced by Michael Keaton Ken can be seen in the latest trailer and from the looks of it he seems to be a villain of sorts. Although that's just my interpretation, especially as Keaton is voicing him.

The other new character that Pixar has revealed is "Peas in a Pod". Both are pictured below.

Lego Han Solo In Carbonite Rocks!

OH. MY. GOD...

This is possibly my favourite giant Lego creation ever. A life-size Lego Han Solo in Carbonite made by Nathan Sawaya.

This is from Nathan:

"Wanting do a Star Wars model, and also wanting to do something never been done before (to my knowledge), I decided to make Han Solo frozen in Carbonite. Life size. It took about 10,000 bricks, almost all dark gray, and about three months of on and off building. I built the sculpture so it can break down easily into smaller parts, thus making it mobile. Because, like most people, I like to take large sculptures of people frozen in Carbonite with me whenever I travel".

I know that Boy Wonder of all people would love to have this in his room, being both the Star Wars and Lego nut that he is!

Monsters Inc 2 Coming Soon?

I'm sure this is old news but it seems Pixar are going sequel crazy at the moment making Toy Story 3, Cars 2 and now Monsters Inc 2. Maybe they're running out of ideas, or maybe fans have screamed just about enough for the big-wigs to start listening, but either way the likes of Sulley and Mike Wazowski will be returning as soon as 2012.

I love the original movie but I'm now thinking that I also want to see an Incredibles and Bugs Life sequel too. I don't think Wall-E, Up and Ratatouille lend themselves to another outing, but that's just me.

Can't wait for Monsters Inc 2! ;)

Springfield Punx Does "The Losties"...

I love the Springfield Punx website and I've posted about it a few times before. Now a new fan art cast poster of sorts has gone up on the site which features our favourite Lost characters in a Simpsons living room/ island scenery amalgamation...

Very cool. I'm stunned at just how accurate each character looks, even though they're Simpsons style!

Shaun Of The Dead And More Coming To T.V.?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Why oh bloody why would anyone want to ruin an absolute classic like Shaun of the Dead (one of my favourite movies of all time) by turning it into a t.v. series? OK so a show won't ruin the film, but if it's crap it'll devalue the original source material I'm sure...

Sources revealed that last week NBC Universal International and Working Title announced they were moving into TV production with new joint venture Working Title Television. One of the aims is to make TV adaptations of Working Title's library of more than 90 theatrical releases, which includes the Bridget Jones movies, Billy Elliot and Nanny McPhee, along with Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill and Shaun of the Dead.

These TV adaptations would initially be aimed at American audiences, but with the potential to be exported, or remade in a range of countries.

I can see this going horribly wrong. But I could actually see this as an animated t.v. show, voiced by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, and working really well. Strange but true...

"Cock it..."

Walt Disney's Tangled - Teaser Trailer & Pics

Disney has changed the title of its upcoming Rapunzel animated movie to "Tangled" and below is the brief teaser trailer and a couple of pics above.

The missus and my eldest daughter went to see 'The Princess and the Frog' recently and both said they loved it, even though it was a little scary and sad, so I'm sure they'll be looking forward to this one too!

Smallville Promo Trailer For April 2010...

We won't be seeing another episode of Smallville season 9 until April the 2nd when it returns to US screens but the CW has just released a promo trailer that shows a few bits of info on what we'll see, including the return of Metallo!

Enjoy!

Tron Legacy News... Lots Of Spoilers!

Scifiwire posted up some news gained from a recent trailer screening where a Q&A was also held.

The following info is from the Q&A with director Joseph Kosinski:

"Tron [the character played by Bruce Boxleitner in the original movie] will be in it. I promise you. The film's called Tron."

What about Lora/Yori, played by Cindy Morgan in the original movie? "Her character is not in Tron Legacy, but that doesn't mean she's not in the world of Tron." Whatever that means.

"Daft Punk is in the movie. Their music is all over it." Does that mean they'll actually appear? Koskinski didn't answer.

Michael Sheen plays a character named Castor, who runs a nightclub in the Tron universe.

Will the MCP or Encom executive Dillinger (played by David Warner) be in the movie? Kosinski was silent about Dillinger (and his virtual-world counterpart, Sark, who perished in the first film), but said, "The MCP was destroyed," adding that the technology he represented was obsolete. Instead, the film's virtual world exists on a new "server" and a new nemesis will be an updated version of Clu (played by a de-aged version of Jeff Bridges), "the next level of artificial intelligence."

"Clu is an exact duplicate of Kevin Flynn himself that he created in 1985" and a more advanced version of the Clu who came to a bad end in the first movie.

Will there be a counterpart of Bit, the small digital entity that aids Flynn in the original movie? "I'd say we do have an equivalent to Bit" in the person of Jarvis, the right-hand "information officer" to Clu 2.0, Koskinski said. "He kind of plays the same role."

All in all, Lisberger said he's pleased about the sequel. "We should all be really glad that it happened. ... It'll be great," he said.

As for the footage itself?

The 3-D trailer opens with Sam (Garrett Hedlund) speaking with an older Alan Bradley (Bruce Boxleitner) atop the Encom Building. Alan says he received a text from Sam's missing father, Kevin Flynn, from a number that was disconnected 20 years ago. Bradley says Kevin was on the cusp of a technological breakthrough when he went missing and that he would never have left that behind or left Sam behind. Bradley then gives Sam keys to Flynn's Arcade. Sam speeds off on his motorcycle and arrives at the arcade, which we see has been closed for years.

Sam opens up the arcade, discovers a secret door behind a "Tron" game machine and discovers Kevin's lab. He wipes dust from a black-and-white screen, which is still active. The shot cuts to the glowing laser we remember from the first movie—the one that digitized Kevin Flynn the first time he entered the virtual world—and the screen goes black.

We are then in a fully realized- 3-D black and neon Tron world, with a giant lighted new generation Recognizer, before which stand three tiny figures in lighted black suits.

We see Sam in a light suit ascending in some kind of round illuminated platform, then quick cuts of

Olivia Wilde's Quorra in a black light suit, reclining on a divan;

a light cycle speeding toward the horizon, with a massive lit-up Tron city in the distance;

a young-looking black-clad Jeff Bridges as Clu emerging onto a platform, accompanied by Jarvis and other programs;

combatants including Sam in light suits flinging white-lighted discs at each other;
a skidding light vehicle (did it have four wheels??);

Michael Sheen as Castor in a white jumpsuit with a shock of white hair, playing air guitar on an illuminated white cane, standing atop a platform;

a white-suited combatant with two illuminated discs;

a blond woman in a tight white light suit (a siren?);

Sam walking up a ramp toward a bright light (a new Tron arena?)

We hear Sam's voice:

"Dad"

Kevin/Bridges' voice: "Sam"

"Long time."

"You have no idea."

At the end, we see two light cycles smashing into each other at high speed, ending with a closeup of Sam's face as he speeds directly toward the camera.

The trailer was backed by electronic music composed by Daft Punk just for the 3-D teaser trailer, which will debut in front of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland when it opens on Friday.

Wanted 2 Cancelled As Jolie Pulls Out?

Angelina Jolie has pulled out of Wanted 2 giving the future of the sequel a very slim chance of actually going ahead. Sources claim that there's no movie (or money) if Angelina isn't in it (even though she died in the original!) so even though there's still a glimmer of hope that it might get made I'm thinking it'll end up being straight to DVD or least a major drop in production costs to get some sort of return on the money that will be spent!

Jolie also pulled out of the movie 'Gravity' which is what she left Wanted 2 for, so not sure what project she's going for instead, maybe full time motherhood, but as I wasn't a huge fan of the original Wanted movie I can't say that any of this is devastating news for me.

Did you all like Wanted? Not sure why I didn't!

DC & Warner Bros 'The Flash' Movie Finally Going Ahead?

Barry Allen, aka The Flash, may be heading to the silver screen in the not too distant future if recent news is to believed.

It seems Hollywood's initial knee-jerk reaction of pulling future movies like Wonder Woman, The Justice League and The Flash may have been a little pre-emptive and now that Batman Begins and Dark Knight have been huge successes the Warner Bros bosses are getting their superhero faith back.

Greg Berlanti, who recently wrote, produced and almost directed the new Green Lantern movie is the top contender to direct The Flash. From what I've read about him he's a worthy choice for the Crimson Speedster film and another DC superhero movie is most certainly A-OK with me!

I know I used to watch the Flash t.v. series and I had the movie on VHS years ago, but I can't remember it at all. I do know however that I loved the Wally West version in the cartoon series and that bringing The Flash to the big screen in a world where the tech is more than capable of pulling off some amazing speed effects will be a very good thing. Let's hope this doesn't get re-shelved before it gets the final green light!

The only question will then be: If Ryan Reynolds is now Green Lantern, who the hell should play The Flash?

Mickey Rourke To Play Conan's Father...

After his award winning comeback in "The Wrestler" Mickey Rourke has once again reignited his former 80's glory and become hot property in Hollywood.

His role in the upcoming Iron Man 2 playing 'Whiplash' should gain him a new generation of fans that maybe hadn't even heard about him before, and now news hit last week that the fanboys will see him again in the new Jason Momoa Conan movie, playing Conan's father.

From what I remember from the original Arnie Conan the Barbarian movie his father doesn't actually last that long, but then again we already know that there will be a significant portion of the movie that relates to Conan's childhood so maybe Mickey will get more screen time in the remake.

Andrew Koenig, Son Of Walter Koenig Found Dead.

If you hadn't heard Walter Koenig (Chekov from the original Star Trek) lost his 41 year old son last week.

Andrew Koenig, best known as the 80's sitcom star playing Boner on US show "Growing Pains" was found dead in Vancouver's Stanley Park last Thursday after being missing for well over a week. Unfortunately it seems Andrew was suffering from deep depression and took his own life.

I'd been following the news about his disappearance online when sites started posting about it and US stars started Tweeting for information or news on his whereabouts. It's a tragic circumstance and as a parent I felt awful when I heard he'd finally been found dead.

One thing I didn't know was that Andrew played the Joker in one of my favourite fan made mini movies "Batman: Dead End".

R.I.P Andrew.

New Nightmare On Elmstreet Trailer...

Not a fan, never seen the originals, but here's the new trailer for all of you that love Freddy.

The Heroic Indestructible Cheerleader Got Implants?

Not exactly news but it would seem, if certain sites are to be believed, that Hayden Panettiere has had a boob job going from an A cup to a C cup. This is after she recently changed her hair from blonde to red.

Is little Claire from Heroes trying to grow up? Are all those venomous 'midget' comments finally hitting home? Who knows. Either way she's a beautiful girl and it can't hurt her career, not like Heidi Montag who went the whole hog and is now half Barbie.

Fanboys will be pleased...

14 New Default Facebook Pictures...

Are you bored with your Facebook pic? Have you left your profile with the default blue and white silhouette? Well over at Smilepanic.com they have 14 new and funky pics based on the default original that are all pretty cool.

Personally I'm thinking of changing mine to the Superman one (of course) but you could also have Spock, Batman, Mickey Mouse, James Bond, The Terminator or Darth Vader, among others.

Take a look HERE and see if any suit you and then update your profile, even for a while. Why not?!

The 50 Funniest Moments In Facebook History...

You've no doubt seen some, or all, of these Facebook 'funny moments' on your travels around the worldwide web, but I only found them last week over at Manofest.com when I was looking at some other stuff.

I swear I've never laughed so much in my entire life as I did going through all of these. Is there hope for the human race? Judging by this lot... no.

If you haven't seen these already I suggest you read them all HERE. You won't regret it.

Enjoy!

Seeing Into The Future, Or Just Scary Coincidence?

When I was young I studied a lot of unexplained happenings throughout history from around the world. I was pretty obsessed and got the 'X-factor' (not the Simon Cowell t.v. show) mag sent through the post for years, would read about them in the library and would buy all the books I could find (most of which I still have), and to this day UFO's, ghosts, Egypt, conspiracies, Witchcraft and everything else associated with the unexplained still gets my attention.

Whilst perusing the Internet last week I came across a page on Cracked.com HERE which showed 6 insane coincidences from our past that were so scarily accurate it's a good argument for precognition (seeing into the future).

If you're into that kinda stuff then read the article!

Every Crazy Ass Japanese Arnold Schwarzenegger Commercial In 10 Minutes!

It's a well known fact (if you're a dedicated fan like me) that Arnold Schwarzenegger did a lot of Japanese adverts in his time as the biggest action star in the World.

It's a lesser known fact that every single one is completely bat s**t crazy...

Watch and see for yourself, it's very disarming seeing "Da Governator" in some of these trippy vids!

Female Stormtroopers To Brighten Your Geeky Day...

Do girls dressed as Star Wars Stormtroopers make you hot under the Imperial helmet?

If so you'll like the gallery over at Screenjunkies.com where they've compiled a small selection of fangirls dressed in all different versions of the armour for your viewing pleasure. Jedi Master Nads has no doubt seen these already! ;)

You can view the gallery HERE.

WTF? Kirsten Dunst Does A Cosplay Music Vid Of "Turning Japanese"?

I am not a fan of Kirsten Dunst, in any way or form, not really sure why but it could be because she was the worst possible choice for Mary Jane in the Spider-Man movies. And now my view has been cemented by this McG directed music video of Miss Dunst annoying the Japanese, as well as me, by singing "Turning Japanese" on the streets of Tokyo etc dressed up in Anime cosplay...

I was wishing with my eyes closed that Godzilla came along and squashed her underfoot... Alas, it was not to be.

Batman: Under The Red Hood - Featurette Vids

I'd said it before and I'll say it again, I'm loving the DC animated movies we've been getting over the last couple of years...

The next release after Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths (which I've seen and enjoyed recently) is Batman: Under the Red Hood.

Below are two parts of an interesting bonus featurette that was on the Justice League DVD that came out in Feb. They're certainly getting darker and darker as they go!

Karate Kid Remake - Newest Trailer

I'll admit it, I'm actually really looking forward to this Karate Kid remake movie...

OK so it should really be called 'Kung Fu kid' as there's no Karate in sight (it's set in Beijing and they even go to a Chinese Shaolin temple in this trailer, a birthplace of Kung Fu, not Karate, as Karate is actually Japanese in origin as was Mr. Miyagi in the original) so it's a little naughty, but hey, it looks good and Jaden Smith looks like he could kick ass during his training sequences so it's all good.

Here's the newest trailer for you all to make your minds up.

"Tom Welling Put On The Suit!"

Greetings I am the new Emerald Knight as my predecessor saw fit to pass his power ring to me, anyway lets get to the business at hand. I don't know maybe I am being ridiculous, but is it too much to ask for Mr. Tom Welling to put on the good old Red, Blue, and Yellow suit? I'm sorry but personally I feel the black clothes with the white S is just not cutting it. Leave the dark and sinister look for Batman. Does anybody else out there want to see this take place? If I am not mistaken didn't Mr. Welling give his reason for not wearing the suit was because he didn't want to be typecast? Well Hello he has played Clark Kent since 2001 and for 9 seasons if that doesn't typecast him nothing will. Please please put on the suit!

David Goyer & Jonah Nolan Attached To New Superman Movie?

"The Man of Steel" is supposedly the working title for the new Superman reboot movie being planned by Warner Bros & DC under the watchful eye of new Godfather to the franchise - Christopher Nolan.

News hit last week that David Goyer (Dark Knight, Flash Forward) has nabbed the writing job for the new movie and that Chrisopher's brother Jonah is set to direct it too. Obviously the success of both Batman Begins and Dark Knight has proven that the team behind those movies is trusted enough to take on DC's other biggest hero.

The other big news is that that the story will rely on John Byrne's 1986 reboot of the character and will feature Lex Luthor (no surprise there) and Braniac (gasp!).

Brandon Routh will not be back in the lead role (boooo!) and Bryan Singer will have nothing to do with the project (yay!).

Good news for fans methinks, on all counts...

Who's Your Choice For A New Supergirl?

After the (obviously totally fake) news that Taylor Swift was in for a chance of being the next incarnation of Supergirl I stumbled upon a group of pics with various famous females dressed up as the Kryptonian hottie over at Manofest.com. You can view the 20 pics HERE.

So the question is: Who out of these 20 random women would you want to see nab the possible future role of Kara? Or is there someone else you'd choose instead? Out of the 20 listed I'd probably choose Elisha Cuthbert or Amber Heard, although a couple of others definitely suit the shield and cape just as well.
