I'm going to admit straight away that I never played Sly Cooper on the PS2 and my knowledge quite literally begins and ends with only just recognising him from some random magazine cover or game case on a shelf in a shop at some point in my past...
Regardless of my lack of knowledge it seems that the production team behind the upcoming Ratchet & Clank movie (Rainmaker and Blockade Entertainment) are looking to also bring Sly to our movie screens in 2016 and have released the synopsis and teaser below.
Enjoy!
"Sly Cooper is a kinetic and comedic heist film that tells the story of Sly Cooper, an orphaned raccoon thief, along with his childhood friends and partners in crime, Bentley Turtle and Murray Hippo. In the film, Sly learns of his birth family's secret legacy; that he comes from a long line of talented and international thieves."
"Endowed with this knowledge, Sly and his friends are catapulted into a global adventure as they race to reassemble pieces of an ancient book holding The Cooper Clan's family secrets before it can fall into the hands of Clockwerk – an evil Russian metallic owl bent on ending the Cooper family line. From romantic Parisian backdrops to the lush mountains of China, gritty film noir meets bright, colorful graphic novels in this origin story of the world's greatest thief-turned-hero."

First Images Of Michael Bay's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Shredder!
Over at Comicbookmovie.com this morning images leaked from the set of Michael Bay's upcoming live action reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Shredder.
Now the pics aren't great quality and technically the Turtles are scaled models and Shredder looks to be just a few CGI-concept snaps pinned up on a board, but still, if these are real and give us a good idea of what these characters will look like (and the overall look and design of the film) then I'm 100% up with this and very happy indeed. I'm old enough to have been around for the original comics, the cartoon series that started all the way back in 1987 (I was 9!) and the first live action movie in the cinema back in 1990. The Turtles have a special place in my geeky heart and if I'm honest I've never had a problem with a Michael Bay movie, I love them, including all the Transformers films, no matter what other people say, so my faith is there for now!

Empire Magazine's X-Men: Days Of Future Past Front Cover Variants
Empire Magazine is celebrating the impending release of X-Men: Days of Future Past by releasing various front covers featuring multiple characters from the movie. Below are the releases so far with many more on the way (25 total I believe), I'll add the rest as they pop up online.
Enjoy! (And yes we're all thinking the same thing about the terrible looking Quicksilver... Yeesh!).

Video - Stormtrooper Secrets: Hip Hop Twerk!
I don't usually post up individual videos but I felt this one warranted the effort...
The ending is brilliant, so make sure you watch it all. Enjoy!

Maleficent - 2nd Trailer
Below is the second trailer for the upcoming Sleeping Beauty movie "Maleficent" starring Angelina Jolie in the title role and Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora.
I know some that are dreading this and some that can't wait. Personally I'm middle ground, we'll have to wait and see!

Night At The Museum 3 - Sir Ben Kingsley Joins Cast
Two questions:
1) Where the hell was the news that there's going to be a 3rd Night of the Museum movie break as I never heard about it until now!
2) Is Sir Ben Kingsley ever out of work?
Yes it seems to be true, Night at the Museum is getting a 3rd outing at the end of this year with Sir Ben Kingsley joining the original cast of Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, Steve Coogan, Ricky Gervais and newly added Rebel Wilson, as "a formidable Egyptian Pharaoh on display in the British museum, and he is revived by a magical tablet." Really? Another Egyptian Pharaoh storyline?
Even if you're not a fan (I have to admit my daughters love the two previous movies and I really liked the first one) the franchise rakes in the mega-bucks and adding Sir Ben to the cast can only help!
Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D - 'Deathlok' Joining And More Info On Lady Sif!
SPOILERS!
Some of you may not have caught up with the latest episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D so you might not want to read on, but for those of you that have - here's a surprise I honestly didn't see coming!
You'll already know that J. August Richards played Mike Peterson in Agents and that he was brought onto the team recently (and then unceremoniously "killed") in the mid-season finale. Then in the last episode aired a week or two ago we saw him alive, but not necessarily "well" with some serious physical damage (a missing leg for one thing), but what I didn't expect, and what I think was promised from the start, is that Mike will actually turn into the B-list cybernetic Marvel character "Deathlok". The comic origin and history of Deathlok can be found on the Wiki page HERE.
Here's the official press release:
A classic Marvel Comics icon who is celebrating his 40th anniversary this year, Deathlok will be brought to live-action life for first time ever on the all-new episode of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." premiering Tuesday, February 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
J. August Richards as Mike Peterson in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Transformed into the cybernetic solider against his will, Mike Peterson (J. August Richards) must struggle to find the man in the machine. With a high-tech eye that allows him to see through walls, super strength and increased speed courtesy of a cybernetic leg, will Deathlok fight alongside the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or against them?
"We have been waiting all season for this moment where we can reveal that Mike Peterson's story arc is an origin story," said Executive Producer Jeffrey Bell. "We're thrilled to have J. August Richards playing Deathlok and to have our audience enjoy this favourite Marvel character on the show."
"If you would have asked when I was nine-years old what I wanted to be, I would have said a super hero and I'm so excited to be one now as an adult on TV!" added J. August Richards. "It's a dream come true."
On top of this news we have the recently announced reason for Lady Sif appearing in an upcoming episode: She's tracking down the female villain from Walter Simonson's Thor run - Lorelei. Elena Satine (who played Mera, Aquaman's Missus, in Smallville) will be playing the role of Lorelei.
I for one am very happy that AOS has dug itself out of the rut it seemed to immediately enter in the first few episodes and that it's able to start integrating Marvel characters form both the comics and the movies to gain that lost interest back.
