Arrow - Season 2 News + Pics! *SPOILERS*

Without doubt my favourite new series of the last year or so has to be 'Arrow'. This show has everything I need in a comic book show and every week I waited like I did back when LOST was on TV and you desperately needed to see the next show and find out what happens next...

Season 2 is almost upon us (YAY!) and here's the spoiler-filled run down with some new images!

Season 2 is set to blow the first season out of the water by upping the ante on the action, the guest stars, the character additions, and the story lines (both on the island in the flashbacks and in the city in the aftermath of last season's finale).

So first up we have the news that none other that Barry Allen/The Flash is showing up in season 2 and Grant Gustin (Glee, 90210) has bagged the role. The Flash is set to appear in 3 episodes and then he's off for his own TV series, interconnecting some of the Justice League nicely in a Smallville Fashion. Barry Allen is described as being a Central City assistant police forensic investigator who comes to Starling City to look into a series of unexplained robberies which he believes may be connected to his tragic past. As a comic book fanboy, Allen is apparently obsessed with Arrow and ends up working with Oliver and Felicity before crossing paths with the vigilante. No news on whether his powers will be used or shown just yet (they may save that for his own show) but at least it's the first major JLA member to pop us, but hopefully not the last!

Second we have the casting and inclusion of another famous DC character - Amanda Waller. Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Naevia in Spartacus: War of the Damned) will be playing a much younger and slimmer New 52 version of the character, but as of yet there is no news on what part she'll play in Oliver's life and whether she'll attempt to recruit The Suicide Squad as she's well known for doing in the comics etc.

Thirdly we have Spawn himself joining the show! Well, not really. It's actor Michael Jai White (who played Spawn in the movie) taking up the mantle of Bronze Tiger in Arrow. Tiger will debut in the season's second episode and comes to Starling City to challenge the vigilante because he's the best of the best, and has aligned himself with China White (played by Kelly Hu).

Last, but by no means least is the old (but never posted by me) news of the introduction of Black Canary in season 2. But this Black Canary starts out as someone completely different to who we think she's going to be initially (before no doubt passing over to Laurel Lance). And this is a super-spoiler for Arrow fans that haven't heard this news, so be warned. Black Canary is none other than Laurel's presumed dead sister Sara! Caity Lotz has been cast in the role and this should cause all sorts of awesomeness and stress, also bringing up questions like "how did she survive?", "did she also end up on Oliver's island, or another one, and get trained in some way?", "does she know Oliver is The Hood/Arrow and what will she do to him?", "will she have powers?" etc, etc.

Oh and on a p.s. note - The recent season 2 trailer still shows Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), so is he back... alive? And Slade Wilson/Deathstroke is set to turn up in modern day Starling City... Will he be Oliver's ally or his greatest foe yet? LOVE IT!!!! :D
