It's been reported that New Line Cinema will be developing a big-screen version of the classic Rampage video game from the Midway. The movie will be produced by John Rickard (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Final Destination, Horrible Bosses). In the game 3 humans are mutated into monsters (Giant Lizard, Gorilla and Werewolf) who then proceed to knock down buildings in a city. The object of the game is to destroy as many buildings as you can before being killed by the military or the other monsters. No word on how closely the movie plot will follow that of the game, but it's been stated that the project aims to take advantage of the title and the visuals of the game.
