Morph Returning Through Aardman Animation Kickstarter?
YES!!!
Via huffingtonpost.co.uk:
If you grew up in the 70s or 80s, the chances are you’ll be familiar with a little Plasticine man named Morph.
Fashioned simply out of clay, Morph was the mischievous, gibberish-talking character who would frequently interrupt television artist Tony Hart during shows such as Take Hart and Hartbeat.
Joined by his sidekick Nailbrush, friend and occasional foe Chas, as well as a handful of other personalities, the terracotta tyke was beloved by many and is still fondly remembered more than 30 years on.
But dry those tears - for Morph could be making a comeback!
Yes Aardman Animations, the stable famed for also bringing us Wallace and Gromit and Chicken run, is campaigning to bring him back to our online screens.
Co-founder Peter Lord has set up a Kickstarter project with a target of £75,000 to help fund 12 new one-minute episodes.
Revealing the company will itself fund a further £75,000 towards the project, he explained: "The important thing is we’re completely independent, there is no Mr Big with a huge chequebook behind us, nobody telling us what to do."
If the target is reached by 28 November, production will start in January with the aim of finishing the episodes and releasing them online by July.
“We plan to make a series of all new Morph episodes and we’d love you, his loyal fans, and maybe also you, his new fans, we’d love you to be involved. But we don’t want to second guess what you want. Get involved in the production. Contribute ideas, gags. Tell us what you want to see.”
What’s more, Aardman is offering a “juicy” package of rewards for backers of the project, including access to a private production blog, crew t-shirts, special edition prints, studio tours, and of course, Morph models.

Medicom Making New 1/6th Scale Superman, Batman, The Dark Knight Returns RAH Figures!
As a massive collector of 16th scale figures and a massive fan of The Dark Knight Returns and Batman and Superman in general it is with an ecstatic note that I bring you news of a new figures being made by Medicom.
From comicsalliance.com:
Medicom‘s 1/6 scale Real Action Heroes line is set to expand in 2014 with a new take on Batman based on Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns. Adorned in the usual RAH fabric clothing, the upcoming action figure will include as-yet unrevealed optional hand pieces and a special figure stand. Presumably, it’ll also come with weapons and accessories such as batarangs too.
Like Medicom’s RAH Black Suit Version of Batman, the upcoming DKR version is currently going for around $170 on preorder sites online. If you’re shopping based sheer number of pouches, this figure wins out. It’s just got more pouches per dollar (PPD) than Medicom’s other Batman models, man. Your figure shopping values may or may not be determined by utility belts, though…
You can see Medicom’s upcoming RAH The Dark Knight Returns Batman figure in more detail below. You can also see images of Medicom's new Superman and Black Suit Comic Batman figures too... I want them all!!!
Medicom‘s Real Action Heroes line will recruit the World’s Finest this summer with two new roughly 12″ tall takes on Batman and Superman. Joining the Jim Lee-style Batman Black Suit Version is a new comic book (but not New 52) take on Superman.
Preorder sites are currently listing each figure at around $170 a piece, with an estimated arrival date of June. Accessories haven’t been fully specified yet, but listings around the Web indicate that the toys will come with interchangeable hands and their own special bases, like most other RAH figures.
This RAH Batman will mark the second “Hush” version of the character to come to market. Unlike Bats, this is Superman’s first comics-styled figure from Medicom, following a Superman Returns movie figure several years back. Depending on how you look at it, the new Supes bears a semi-resemblance to Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill. Since that’s not how it’s being marketed, I suppose it gives collectors an unofficial look at what MoS could’ve been like if the actor had donned something more in line with Christopher Reeve’s ’78 suit.
You can take a closer look the upcoming Real Action Heroes Black Suit Batman and Superman from Medicom below.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past Links Magneto With JFK's Death?
20th Century Fox has just launched a new viral marketing site HERE for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, this time focusing on a timeline of fictional events that ties Magneto to the real-life assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The new site come just a few days after the real-life 50th anniversary of the president’s and explores what seems to be one of the most critical moments to strike a divide between humans and mutants. Is this in bad taste? Hmmmm...
“Half a century ago, Magneto was implicated in the mutant plot to assassinate President John F. Kennedy. The events of that fateful day in November have been a point of contention between humans and the mutants ever since.”
Based on the classic “Days of Future Past” comic book storyline made popular by writer Chris Claremont and artist John Byrne, the film will involve elements of time travel and an alternate future in which mutants are hunted down by robotic Sentinels and placed in internment camps. This bleak, alternate future stems from the X-Men failing to prevent the assassination of a U.S. senator by the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, thus creating an alternate timeline in which mutants are hunted down like animals.
Transformers: Age Of Extinction - First Official Image Of Optimus Prime
Empire gave us our first official look at Optimus Prime's new robot form this week from the cover of this month's magazine... Not a huge difference apart from the broadsword and shield/battle axe swap really, but it's the first image of many to be released so far so I'm posting it up anyway!

Doctor Who 2013 Christmas Special - Image And Info!
If you watched the Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode last week the you may have caught the teaser trailer for the upcoming Christmas special that played straight after, and if not then you can view said trailer in the post before this one on here!
This week the BBC released a new teaser image, a title and a synopsis for what will be Matt Smith's final appearance as the Doctor and it's called "The Time of the Doctor"!
Synopsis:
‘Orbiting a quiet backwater planet, the massed forces of the universe’s deadliest species gather, drawn to a mysterious message that echoes out to the stars - and amongst them, the Doctor.
Rescuing Clara from a family Christmas dinner, the Time Lord and his best friend must learn what this enigmatic signal means for his own fate and that of the universe.’
All we know for sure is that the Cybermen and The Silence appear and that this incarnation of the Doctor will die and transform into Peter Capaldi at the end, everything else for now is a mystery, and usually it's a good thing to keep some things unknown when it comes to Doctor Who! However there are some unconfirmed major *SPOILERS* discovered by The Sun newspaper that you may want to read. If you do then highlight the white section below with your mouse to reveal them!
The planet is Trenzalore, the last resting place of the Doctor, as seen in "The Name of the Doctor". He and his enemies are drawn to the planet by a bell in a tower that rings across the Universe. In the image below you can see Peter Capaldi's face in the fire between the Doctor's hand and Clara's. You can also see arms sticking out of the snow bottom left (Weeping Angels?). The Doctor will take part in a 300 year long battle but Clara will stay inside the Tardis only appearing when summoned. The Doctor will lose a leg (turned to stone) by being attacked by Weeping Angels before he regenerates! The Daleks (wooden and metal) and Sontarans will also return. The time cracks featured in series 5 (Amy Pond's first season) with be explained with connections to the 300 year war being the start of the phenomenon. The cracks are due to Gallifrey and it's salvation having changed and two points in time that should never meet causing the cracks. One massive crack will open at the end of the episode during a fight with the Daleks which will show us show some familiar characters solving a logistical problem which also includes the Doctor's limited regeneration conundrum! The Timelords themselves will supposedly appear through the time crack and grant the Doctor a new set of regenerations for saving Gallifrey and Trenzalore which will culminate with the biggest and most spectacular "electric light show" regeneration ever filmed for the show... Wow.
Below is the new teaser image followed by two posters that popped up today, however I can't confirm that they're not just fan-made at this point...
And for an extra special bonus you can go HERE to view 35 Easter Eggs from the 50th anniversary episode that you may or may not have noticed. Well worth the read if you're a die-hard fan!

Bat Kid Saves San Francisco/Gotham City!!!
If you haven't been on Facebook lately, or seen the news, you might have missed the incredible story of "Bat Kid" a 5 year old leukaemia patient (now in remission) called Miles Scott who had an amazing and quite unbelievable day gifted to him through the "Make-A-Wish America" foundation where San Francisco was turned into Gotham City for the day and Miles was essentially Batman doing his heroic deeds... The entire post below is from "The chive.com". Enjoy!
1

The entire city of San Francisco turned into Gotham City on Friday to fulfill a 5-year-old boy’s Make-A-Wish dream. Miles Scott from Tulelake, California has been battling leukemia since he was 18 months old. However, thankfully Miles is now in remission after ending his treatments in June and was told by his parents that they were all making a trip to San Francisco so he could get his very own Batkid costume.
What he arrived to instead was a city transformed into Gotham by: Make-A-Wish America, the SFPD, city officials and thousands of volunteers.
Gotham needed Miles’ help. The Riddler and Penguin were on the loose, a woman was tied to cable-car tracks and Lou Seal was kidnapped! Batkid had a police escort worthy of a dignitary as he sped around the city in a black Lamborghini with a Batman crest, with officers blocking traffic and riding alongside him on motorcycles. The day culminated at City Hall where thousands gave Miles a hero’s welcome and the mayor gave him a key to the city.
The elaborate surprise united the community in a profound way. The Department of Justice issued an indictment, special-edition newspapers were printed and even the President thanked Batkid for saving Gotham.
Miles’ father thanked the crowd, organizers and the city for showing his son a good time. “This is closure for us,” Nick Scott said. “It has been a hard three years.”
