Ratchet & Clank The Animated Movie - Teaser Trailer!

News broke today that the popular videogame franchise Ratchet & Clank is coming to a cinema screen near you in early 2015 as an animated movie!

I admit to only having played the PS3 "All 4 One" game in the past, which is actually a fantastic multiplayer game if you've got 1-3 people/kids to play with, but this is great news for fans! The cut scenes for All 4 One were funny and well worth watching, the characters are fun and work well together, and the animation is top notch in the game let alone the trailer, so I'm sure the movie will be great too!

Below is the teaser trailer and here's the synopsis:

"Ratchet and Clank tells the story of two unlikely heroes as they struggle to stop a vile alien named Chairman Drek from destroying every planet in the Solana Galaxy. Ratchet is the last of his kind – a foolhardy 'Lombax' who has grown up alone on a backwater planet with no family of his own. Clank is a pint-sized robot with more brains than brawn. When the two stumble upon a dangerous weapon capable of destroying entire planets, they must join forces with a team of colourful heroes called The Galactic Rangers in order to save the galaxy. Along the way they’ll learn about heroism, friendship, and the importance of discovering one’s own identity. "

Futurama Cancelled... AGAIN!!!

From EW.com:

The Planet Express ship will soon make its final delivery.

Comedy Central has decided not to renew Futurama, which means that the 31st-century-set animated comedy will end its 140-episode run on Sept. 4. The final 13 episodes, which represent the second half of season 7, begin airing on June 19 at 10 p.m.

Futurama is no stranger to cancellation, of course: The series aired from 1999 to 2003 before Fox sent Fry & Co. into oblivion. After thriving in reruns on Adult Swim, Futurama was relaunched in 2007 with four-direct-to-DVD movies that Comedy Central ran in half-hour increments as a 16-episode fifth season in 2008-09. Comedy Central subsequently ordered a sixth season of 26 episodes, which aired in 2010-11, and a seventh season of 26 episodes, the first half of which debuted in 2012.

The news did not come as a shock to executive producer David X. Cohen and creator Matt Groening, who had thought their space explorations were ending three previous times (after the Fox run, after the four movies, and after Comedy Central’s first 26-episode order). “I felt like we were already in the bonus round on these last couple of seasons, so I can’t say I was devastated by the news,” Cohen tells EW. “It was what I had expected two years earlier. At this point I keep a suitcase by my office door so I can be cancelled at a moment’s notice.”

The series won the Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program twice, in 2002 and 2011. It has declined in the ratings, though, averaging 2.6 million viewers in 2010, 2.3 million in 2011, and 1.7 million in 2012.

Comedy Central’s EVP of Programming Dave Bernath views the network’s decision as “the natural end” to the show’s improbable comeback. “That’s a helluva run that few shows achieve, and especially given the fact that it came back to life, it’s really an amazing story,” he says. “I’m more thankful and feel a sense of gratitude toward the whole process — and that we found a way to keep going for 52 more episodes — than I really am even thinking about the ending. It’s a blessing that it came back and lasted so long.”

The producers say that they are exploring options for a new home for the show, but there are no serious talks at this point. “We’ve been in this situation before and it’s tempting when you’re doing episodes that are as good or better than anything you've ever done to continue doing it,” Groening tells EW. “We’re catching our breath and seeing what the fans have to say. The experience of this show has been so much fun from the very beginning to now — everybody is so happy to work on this show — that it’d be a shame if we all went our separate ways… We would love to continue. We have many more stories to tell. But if we don’t, this is a really great way to go out… I think these episodes are the best ones we’ve ever done.”

Cohen calls the final run — which features such guests as Larry Bird, Sarah Silverman, George Takei, Adam West, Dan Castellaneta, and Burt Ward — “our best ‘last season ever’ ever,” noting that there are “a bunch of episodes that I think are going to be classics.”  In one instalment  Futurama is “reincarnated as various cartoons of your youth, not legally resembling but somehow quite reminiscent of Scooby-Doo, Strawberry Shortcake, and G.I. Joe,” he says. (SPOILER ALERT, SPOILER ALERT) And the series finale, which features a wedding between Fry and Leela, is “a tasteful, emotional gorefest,” he raves. “There’s a lot of death but there’s also a lot of time travel, so that makes for an interesting combination.” Adds Groening: “It’s a really satisfying ending. It’s an epic ending. If indeed it’s the ending.”

If, indeed. Somehow we’ll see Bender shout “Bite My Shiny, Revived Metal Ass!” down the road, right? “Perhaps Futurama will return in another form, on the Internet, or as a puppet show in the park,” says Groening. “Or maybe as a puppet show in the park on the Internet.” Deadpans Cohen: “As I said three times before, this is definitely the absolute end of the show. I don’t know why nobody believes me when I say that.”

My two girls and I love Futurama, in fact it's a show my eldest grew up on from birth, so if this is true then it's once again devastating news... :(

I'm lost for words, in the bad sense I think...

Anyway, this is Halle Berry dressed as Storm for her role in the upcoming X-Men: Day of Future Past movie Tweeted by Bryan Singer.

That is all...

The Lone Ranger - New Trailer

Here's the newest full trailer for the upcoming Lone Ranger movie and this time round (considering the past few trailers haven't done their job in making me want to see this film) I actually quite like the look of it! So R.I.P.D and The Lone Ranger may be two potential flicks for me to enjoy in the not too distant future! :)

R.I.P.D - First Trailer

The first R.I.P.D poster and official pic went up on here yesterday and now we have the first full trailer, and to be honest it's better looking than I thought it would be!

Enjoy!

DC Animated Movie Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox - Cast List & Images

A couple of images from the upcoming DC animated movie 'Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox' have popped up online including two of the voice cast doing their work - Cary Elwes as Aquaman and the epic Nathan Fillion (dressed in his character's symbol t-shirt no-less) as Green Lantern. I've never not enjoyed a DC animated movie, they've all been fantastic and it's one area where DC beats Marvel, so I can't wait for this to be released!

The full cast list was released this week showing some pretty cool choices... See what you think!

Kevin Conroy as Batman
Kevin McKidd as post-Flashpoint Batman
Michael B. Jordan as Cyborg
Cary Elwes as Aquaman
Vanessa Marshall as Wonder Woman
Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern
Justin Chambers as Flash
C. Thomas Howell as Professor Zoom
Sam Daly as Superman
Ron Perlman as Slade Wilson
Danny Huston as General Lane
Dana Delany as Lois Lane

The film is based on the 2011 DC Comics limited series, Flashpoint, from Geoff Johns and artist Andy Kubert which led to the publisher's New 52 reboot. In the story, Professor Zoom alters reality, resulting in a world where the Justice League never existed and the world is in utter chaos due to Aquaman and his Atlantean Empire's globe spanning war with Wonder Woman's Amazon Nation.

Man Of Steel - New Epic Trailer And Images

Epic... Simply epic. Will Man of Steel finally be a worthy Supes movie? Judging by the trailer I think it just might!

Enjoy!

Captain America 2: Winter Soldier - On Set Costume Pics

Winter Soldier has just started filming and 100% confirmation on a previously released artwork image of Steve in his new (and well-known from the newer comics) Super Soldier/Secret Avengers costume (along with helmet and other bits looking more like his WWII suit) can now be seen in a few on-set images below. Black Widow is also here (sporting straight hair) but I have to say that I can't wait to see these new Marvel movies, especially Guardians of the Galaxy and of course Avengers Assemble 2! :)

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Pics Of Electro On Set!

SPOILERS!

So it looks like the sequel to Amazing Spider-Man is using the Ultimate Comics version of the Electro character doing away with any green and yellow lightning lycra and mask and instead going for the blue skinned approach (with a hoodie). Obviously we're not seeing any post VFX added here, so we literally have a blue-skinned Jaime Foxx walking the streets with some lights in his hood, but I trust Marc Webb's approach seeing as the first movie was great... We'll see what happens!

Injustice: Gods Among Us - Launch Trailer

My next game purchase is definitely going to be this game... Injustice: Gods Among Us looks fantastic and judging by the early reviews the one-player campaign and story are great, so I can't wait to get my hands on it!

Iron Man 3 - Suit-Tech Video

A short video here for Iron Man 3 using Paul Bettany's "Jarvis" as the narrator of a tech-demo/overview for Tony Stark's various suit designs using clips from the trailers... Very cool! :)

Star Trek: Into Darkness - New Trailer And Images!

A whole bunch of images were released last week for Star Trek: Into Darkness and a new trailer only a few days ago, and to be honest, next to Man of Steel, I think this is going to be my number 1 movie of 2013... AWESOME!!!
