I don't think many people could be as excited as I am about Uncharted 3 and Gears of War 3 and their impending releases, but just in case you need a little push in the right direction here are two videos showcasing the multiplayer modes in both!

Peter Jackson Confirms Ian Holm Returning as Bilbo in 'The Hobbit'!
Now that Peter Jackson has returned to helm the two-part adaptation of The Hobbit (woo ho!), plenty of his cast members from the Lord of the Rings trilogy are also slated to head back to Middle Earth.
Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett and Orlando Bloom are all said to return (even a minor supporting role has been crafted for Bret McKenzie) and it should be quite the reunion. Well, Peter Jackson recently revealed on his official Facebook page (via TheOneRing.net) that despite the fact that Martin Freeman is playing Bilbo Baggins in the film, Ian Holm will also being playing the older version of the hobbit at some point as well.
Here's what Jackson said about Holm's return in The Hobbit:
"One comment that came up from the recent video blog was the Bilbo voice at the end—many of you assumed it was Sir Ian Holm. Whilst Ian will be returning as the older Bilbo Baggins in 'The Hobbit,' that recording was actually Martin Freeman's voice, taken from a script read through we recorded when the cast first arrived. I have to admit, I wasn't sure who it was when I first heard it, either. Cheers, Peter J"
Cool beans... very cool beans.
Yvonne Strahovski - Funny Music Video Rip Off...
If there's one TV actress I love more than most it's Chuck's leading lady Yvonne Strahovski who plays Sarah.
The video below is by CollegeHumor.com and features Yvonne taking the mick out of Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Lady Gaga and then Justin Bieber... Crazy but cool!
And just for kicks I've added some pics of Yvonne from the video for you!

Lindsey Lohan Up For Role As Lana Lang In The Man Of Steel?
Another wild rumour that flooded geek sites last week was that none other than the baddest of the bad - Lindsey Lohan - might be appearing in the new Superman movie "The Man of Steel" as Lana Lang...
Rumours stemmed from her supposed meetings with the creative team behind the movie and have stuck ever since, but at this time there's no actual proof of this and of course Lindsey has just been handed a prison sentence for over 100 days for a jewellery theft... So can she even play the part if she's due to be locked up? We'll see what happens.
George Takei Petitions Against Hollywood's Alleged 'Whitewashing' of 'AKIRA'
Legendary Star Trek actor and social activist George Takei has spoken out against Warner Bros. Pictures' alleged plans to cast a live-action version of the classic Japanese animated film, AKIRA, with Caucasian leads rather than Asian actors. In response to the publication of a purported "short list" of actors including Justin Timberlake and Robert Pattinson, among others, Takei endorsed a Facebook petition called "Don't Whitewash AKIRA" that people can sign to make the powers that be aware of their wish for the film to be cast with Asians.
Created by Katsuhiro Otomo in the form of a manga serial and feature-length animated film, both of which are considered landmark works of art and superlative examples of their respective mediums, AKIRA is an indelibly Japanese story of super-science, politics and youth in revolt set against a post-apocalyptic version of Tokyo. Its main characters are Kaneda and Testuo, two motorcycle gang members and the best of friends -- until the latter is cursed with uncontrollable powers.
Otomo explores apocalyptic themes in the series a way that only a Japanese creator could, telling the story of a conflicted, corrupt and desperate city borne out of a catastrophic event that recalls the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Everything about the story is informed by the Japanese people's struggle to redefine their nation in the post-war era, including the shocking nihilism of its young protagonists.
Last month, Deadline published what its sources characterized as a short list of lead actors for the two principal roles in AKIRA: Robert Pattinson (Twilight), Andrew Garfield (The Social Network, Amazing Spider-Man) and James McAvoy (Wanted, X-Men: First Class) for Testuo; and Garrett Hedlund (TRON: Legacy), Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class, Inglourious Basterds), Chris Pine (Star Trek), Joaquin Phoenix (Walk The Line) and Justin Timberlake (everything that is ghastly and awful). None of these performers are Asian.
Duke Nukem Forever - New Trailer - NSFW!
Just so you know, this trailer is not safe for work due to the boobies... yes there are hi-res boobies in the new Duke Nukem game which will no doubt please all the original gamers who played the original game back in the day...
Regardless of this fact the game looks frickin awesome and although I doubt you could say the 14 year wait is going to be worth it, I'm sure it'll be a pretty close call!

Lynda Carter Might Appear In New Wonder Woman Series!
The still-stunning Lynda Carter, who played Diana in the Wonder Woman TV seires from 1975 to 1979, has been speaking with the new show's creator, David E. Kelley.
'I've talked to David E. Kelley, who's a brilliant writer, a number of times and we're hoping to plan something,' she said. 'But I cannot reveal.'
An obvious role would be Hippolyta, Diana's mother and queen of Themyscira. The DC Comics wiki writes that Hippolyta also took on the role of Wonder Woman first as the "new Golden Age Wonder Woman" and again as a backup Wonder Woman before she died in the "Our Worlds at War" cycle.
As most sites who broke the news stated Carter is most likely to appear as Diana's mother Queen Hippolyta of Themyscria, but would that be too obvious? We'll have to wait and see!
Bulked Up Tom Hardy On The Set Of The Dark Knight Rises...
This pic above is the first of Tom Hardy on the set of the upcoming Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises".
Although there's still some time before cameras actually roll the pic has ruffled a few feathers amongst fans. Mainly because not only does Tom look soooooo short next to the other guy (unless the other guy is like 6'6") but he's also not quite Bane-sized either. OK so he's pretty big, and you can see his impressive muscles in the trailer for his latest movie "Warrior" below, but I'm hoping some sort of CGI or prosthetics come into play or else we'll have a pretty average looking Bane...
Troll Hunter - New Trailer
Below is a trailer for the new Norwegian documentary-style movie "Troll Hunter" or "Trolljegeren".
A group of students investigating mysterious bear killings quickly learn there are much more dangerous things going on. They start to follow a mysterious man, only to learn he is actually an expert troll hunter.
Enjoy!

A True Hero - 9 Year Old Kid Brings 2 Year Old Sister Back To Life With CPR...
This story got me good the other day...
A 9-year-old boy from Las Vegas is credited with saving the life of his 2-year-old sister who fell into a pool near her grandmother’s Mesa, Arizona home. “I just went running outside and I did CPR on her. I knew what I was doing,” Tristin Saghin told ABC 15 News.
When asked where he learned how to do CPR, Tristin responded “television.”

Batman: Year One - Voice Cast And First Images
One of DC's upcoming animated movies - Batman: Year One - has just had its voice cast announced, which is pretty impressive so far, and two new images which are both below.
In Year One, a young Bruce Wayne is first starting out as a costumed vigilante. He creates an early bond with Lieutenant James Gordon, whose importance in the tale makes it as much as Gordon's story as Wayne's.
"Bryan Cranston, Ben McKenzie, Eliza Dushku and Katee Sackhoff have been tapped to star as the voices in Batman: Year One, the adaptation of the Frank Miller comic book classic from Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation.
Lauren Montgomery and Sam Liu are directing the movie, the 12th entry in the successful series of DC universe animated originals. Tab Murphy wrote the script."
Cranston is playing Gordon, while McKenzie is Wayne/Batman. Dushku voices
Catwoman, while Sackhoff is Detective Sarah Essen, a Gordon love interest. Additionally, Alex Rocco lends his pipes as crime lord Carmine Falcone.
Can't wait!

Could Vin Diesel Be The Next Terminator?
One of the crasiest rumours on the internet this week is that Vin Diesel (Fast and Furious and Riddick) could well be the next version of a Terminator in the upcoming 5th installment, but the rumour is only based on the fact that the new director is Justin Lin... Director of "Fast and Furious", and what he's said below ..
Lin says the only person he's actually approached for T5 at the moment is Arnold Schwarzenneger himself, but the director doesn't rule out Diesel's involvement in the project, readily admitting he's discussed the Terminator mythology with Diesel before:
"We've talked about the mythology [of the Terminator series] ... [pause] he's a great guy and a great actor. I really like working with him so anything I do I usually talk to him about. Sometimes we even talk about going back and doing a little indie movie."
So when Lin was asked whether we should expect to see Diesel on T5—and perhaps take on Arnold's Terminator (yeah, we know Arnold may be getting too old for this, but special effects are getting better and better all the time, so who knows?) or Skynet in the process, Lin's coy reply was:
"You never know."

Cars 2 - 2 New Posters
Below are two posters for the upcoming Cars II. One being a vintage James Bond version and the other a stunning widescreen triptych version.
Although a lot of people found Cars the worst of the Pixar movies it actually has the largest post movie merchandise profits (apart from Toy Story) and the mere sight of Lightning McQueen can send the quietest child crazy with excitement!!!
