Disney To Make Live-Action Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers Movie?

As a kid Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers was one of my favourite Disney cartoons along with others such as The Gummi Bears, Talespin, and DuckTales. Now news has been released via hollywoodreporter.com that Disney have picked up a pitch from Robert Rugan, an award-winning commercials director, who has written an updated take on a new live-action/CG hybrid not unlike the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies.

Although Chip and Dale were famous all the way back in 1943 they became even more famous in the late 80's/early 90's when they starred in the Rescue Rangers cartoon series along with loveable characters such as Gadget, Monterey Jack, and Zipper. It'll be awesome if the original voice cast (which is epic by the way) of Corey Burton, Tress MacNeille, Peter Cullen, and Jim Cummings can return to voice each character but I do hope we get a better adventure movie rather than the more annoying Alvin films. Do it right and it could be great!

24: Live Another Day - Super Bowl Teasers

Below you'll find a series of teaser trailers for the upcoming 24: Live Another Day featured during the Super Bowl yesterday (yes, a lot happens during the Super Bowl!). I really need to sit down and plough through my 24 DVD box set!!!

Synopsis:

Set and shot in London, the suspenseful event series once again will follow the exploits of heroic agent Jack Bauer. Four years ago, Jack was a fugitive from justice. Now an exile, he nevertheless is willing to risk his life and freedom to avert yet another global disaster. Tracking Jack are CIA head Steve Harris (Benjamin Bratt); CIA agent Kate Morgan (Yvonne Strahovski), who is both resourceful and ruthless; Jordan Reed (Giles Matthey), a smart and sophisticated CIA computer tech; and Erik Ritter (Gbenga Akinnagbe), a sharp, strong and arrogant field operative. Calling the shots is James Heller (William Devane), now President of the United States. Heller is flanked by his Chief of Staff Mark Boudreau (Tate Donovan), who is married to Heller's daughter -- Jack's former flame, Audrey (Kim Raver). Meanwhile, a hardened Chloe O'Brian (Rajskub), Bauer's CTU confidante, is now working underground with high-profile hacker Adrian Cross (Michael Wincott). Guest stars on 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY include Golden Globe Award winner Judy Davis and Golden Globe Award nominee Stephen Fry.

Transformers: Age of Extinction - Super Bowl Teaser Trailer

The second Super Bowl trailer I'm posting up here is the Transformers: Age of Extinction teaser trailer featuring the first footage from the 4th Transformers release, and finally showing some Dinobot action (Grimlock baby!). OK so I know Michael Bay has haters, and the Transformers movies do too, but I enjoy them and I'm sure I'll enjoy this one too. :P

During yesterday's NFL Super Bowl XLVIII a brand new Captain America: The Winter Soldier trailer aired, and to be honest it was bloody awesome! Below you'll find the trailer, the new posters, and a few new images for your viewing pleasure. I cannot wait for this to come out this year!!!

Batman Vs. Superman - Lex Luthor And Alfred Cast!

 


In what could possibly be the biggest casting shock since... well Ben Affleck as Batman in the same film, Jesse Eisenberg (Zombieland, The Social Network) has been cast as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons (Die Hard With a Vengeance, The Lion King) has been cast as Alfred.

Now I get the Jeremy Irons choice, English thesp and all that, but Eisenberg is the one that stresses me and a lot of other people out. It's not that he's not a great actor, he is, but he's not the breed of Lex Luthor we generally think about from the comics, cartoons, or movies. Will he go bald? Will he badass enough to be a match for Supes, and possibly Bats? We'll have to wait and see. Maybe this will be another Heath Ledger as Joker casting and we just can't see it yet...

LEGO Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary Set!

Who Ya Gonna Call?

Last week LEGO announced that they will be making a 30th anniversary set featuring The Ghostbusters! Although the final set hasn't been 100% confirmed the pictures below were released showing the 4 main characters of Venkman, Stantz, Spengler, and Zedmore along with the Ecto-1 vehicle, Slimer, and Ghostbusters HQ building.

People went nuts for the Back to the Future Delorean set so I'm sure they'll love this awesome set too!
